Okay ladies, I want to share my experience because choosing a recovery home in Miami can honestly feel overwhelming. For those of you thinking you can handle it alone: Back in 2012, I had a cosmetic procedure before recovery homes were really a thing, and having to overcome that recovery was an absolute nightmare. My family had no idea how to properly care for me, how to rotate me, put my faja on, or even how to bathe me. Fast forward to 2026, another cosmetic procedure, and I knew I could not recover alone again. I researched many places and was even advised by my surgical coordinator to go to the one they recommended. Please do your own research. Miami is known for kickbacks & referral incentives, so don't automatically assume the place being pushed on you is the best option. After doing my OWN research, I found Oasis Retreat Miami. Their Instagram posts gave me confidence that it would be clean, friendly, and comfortable environment- and that I wasn't going to be eating frozen TV dinners while recovering. I arrived after surgery feeling weak, cold, and shaky from the anesthesia. The moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted and brought to my room. My adjustable bed had fresh sheets and a heated blanket waiting for me. That alone brought me so much comfort. I was given the option of a vitamin/iron IV, which in my opinion is absolute MUST. Shortly after, one of the caretakers (Yari) came in with hot homemade chicken soup and fed me while I rested in bed. The level of care here is truly incredible. What made my experience so special were the wonderful caretakers that work at the Chika Iconika location. Yari, Daily, and Annie are absolute angels. They cared for me with so much kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. You can tell they truly love what they do, and it shows in every interaction. Honestly, even my own family would not have been able to care for me at this level. At all times, I felt safe, clean, comfortable, well-fed, and genuinely cared for. Recovery is such a vulnerable time, and having the right people around makes all the difference. I even extended my stay because I knew returning to normal life would be challenging--especially after being cared for like a princess (LOL). If you're looking for a recovery home in Miami, I highly recommend Oasis Retreat Miami hands down their homes are clean, the food is delicious, and the staff is amazing. P.S. Opt for your post opt massages at the home- the masseuse that they contract works at 2 different plastic surgery centers and she knows what she's doing! read more

I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE HERE!!!! BEWARE!!!!! 1. Taken to pre-op appointment. After I was finished I texted my driver for pickup. He advised another driver would pick up in 30min. No car description. After 45min. I texted for description. Finally picked up 1 hour later. 2. Day of surgery. My surgery was scheduled for 6:30a arrival. Caregiver at recovery home advised driver would pick me up at 5:30a. He does not show up until 6:10a. (40min late). He proceeded to tell me to call my doctor's office and tell them I would be 15min late due to heavy traffic. I was 25 min late for my surgery. 3. After surgery the recovery home advised they would get my medication delivered by their in house Pharmacy. I was out of surgery by noon. I was told by meds would be available in 2 hours. In excruciating pain for over 7 hours by the time my medication was delivered. 4. My stay was 5 days. After surgery (Day 2) I was moved to a room where the t.v. did not work. Did they care or attempt to fix it or move me to another room? Of course not. My whole stay I stared at the wall. Completely uncomfortable. Worst than prison. 5. On two occasions I had to ask for the toilet paper to be restocked in the bathroom. This was not immediately done. I had to ask several times for it to finally get stocked. No toilet paper. WTH? On one occasions the antibacterial soap was out. Why are these to kept stocked? 6. If you wanted to shower you have to wait for them and them to bring towels. Even though I showered myself. Why did I have to shower on their time? 7. The food was horrible. Same meals daily, full of sodium and unhealthy for recovery. 8. The nurses were all inattentive and acted like you were really bothering them if you asked for anything. I will say Maudia was the best there. I only had her for two days. The rest was hell. 9. Day after surgery. First Post-op appointment. I was dropped off to my appointment on time. However, I called for pick up at 11:20a. The driver said he was waiting on the other lady to finish her appointment and would pick me up. 12p rolls around I text him for status, he was still waiting. Finally at 1:10p (almost 2 hours of waiting) I was beginning to be in pain and was due for my medications. I texted the driver and advised I could just uber back as I was hurting and waited nearly two hours for a ride back to the recovery home. He said he was already otw. The man does not pull up until 1:40p. I WAS LEFT WATING FOR A RIDE FOR OVER 2 AND A HALF HOURS DAY AFTER SURGERY! 10. Last day to stay. My flight was at 11a. I wanted to leave at 9a.m. for my departure. They kicked me out at 7:30a rushing me out of there. Even though check out time is at 11a. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! read more

This place forces you to do awkward things like as soon as they give you a plate shoving a camera in your face without permission. The driver only comes & goes once so you have to wait all day in the suv while everyone has their appointments! They left one lady in the bed all day and she almost died. She had to be rushed to emergency surgery after them ripping her wounds open. The chef was ok but everything else was horrible & an additional charge. Not all inclusive as advertised. They don't want to do their jobs. When it comes to getting you to & from the rest room or taking a bath you are left in the bathroom to literally pass out. This was the scariest experience ever! They stay on their phones the entire time & one lady came in the room on FaceTime showing everything & violated everyone's privacy! They took our call buttons so we could not reach them. They were charging different people different prices for the same items! This place was a complete waste of money & you'd be better off at a hotel w/ a friend who cares. Do not be fooled. I stayed here for recovery after a tummy tuck, skin removal, lipo, and breast surgery. I was in a very vulnerable state -- unable to use my core or upper body much -- and completely reliant on their care. Unfortunately, my experience was overwhelmingly negative. Pricing & Upselling: * They push extras like vitamin saline bags ("banana bags") with inconsistent pricing. * I was charged $20 for generic Tylenol PM, $10 for generic baby wipes (another patient was told $20), and $110 for medication I later found out could've cost $16 at Walgreens. They insist you must use their driver. * Transportation was also inconsistent: I was quoted $30 each way to and from appointments but was charged $35. Communication & Orientation: * On arrival, I was only shown where to put my belongings. No house tour, no instructions, no introductions. * Staff primarily relied on Google Translate, making communication very difficult. * My belongings were moved to another room without notice. Cleanliness & Safety: * After surgery, my drain tube leaked blood. I reported blood on the bathroom floor, but it wasn't cleaned. Blood and trash were also found in common areas and even outside. * Trash piled up in bathrooms, and floors remained dirty with hair and blood despite repeated requests for cleaning. * On one occasion, my controlled pain medication went missing -- a terrifying situation while vulnerable. Emergency Response: * I became violently ill, vomiting repeatedly while pressing the call button. It turned out the call light didn't even work. * I tried calling Jewel (staff) 14 times with no answer. Had my condition been more serious, this could have been life-threatening. Meals: * Meals were extremely poor: microwave bagel bites for breakfast, sausage with rice and old potatoes for lunch. The only decent food I had was a pork chop cooked by another patient. Overall: This facility was unsanitary, unsafe, and neglectful. While Jewel and Joy were kind and tried to help, they were overwhelmed with too many patients (8 at once) to provide proper care. I could have hired a private CNA and received far better support for the money spent. Bottom Line: This is not a safe or clean recovery option. I would not recommend it to anyone. I will be posting this review, along with photos, on multiple platforms. Stayed at the oasis retreat after my bbl and it was amazing! My caretaker Rosy made sure she was attentive to my every need. Overall booking and service was great. please don't go unless you speak full spanish . they assist the ones that speak their language first . they put themselves before the patient . when I first got there they took 20 minutes to let me inside and when I asked what was taking so long they told me they are busy . the next day I went into surgery (breast aug) it took them 10 hours to give me my pain medication I got out of surgery at 1 pm didn't get medication til 10pm . after I got out of surgery I asked for food they said no it's not lunch time . they wouldn't allow me to walk around after surgery they wanted me in the bed so that they didn't have to watch me . even though it says rides are paid for by them I still had to come out of pocket for my own rides because the driver either doesn't show or doesn't come in a timely manner . I was never compensated for the rides and when I asked she said she would give me house materials to go home with . I understand some spanish , staff gets mad and overwhelmed when you ask them to do something . They address me as little girl instead of by my name and I did not like it , I cried And made my stay short . read more

Today I have 15 days post my surgery, and I want to let you know my terrible, bad and frustrating experience., I contacted them through their Instagram profile where they show a peaceful recovery house, where one "finds" what one needs humanity, calm, and above all professionalism for those days when one depends on another person. person in whom one trusts his recovery and above all emotional well-being. When I arrived at the clinic there were other people who arrived from the airport and who told me that they were going to that recovery place and that they booked it because the girl who sold them the surgery recommended it, I thought then it must be reliable if they recommend it in the clinic where I am going to operate. I wrote to him because I only wanted to book 4 days since I live in Miami Then they wrote to me to assure me that I wanted to make the reservation because they had other people waiting and would give priority to whoever I booked first. I checked their instagram and they posted very healthy meals daily for recovery and even vegetable juices, so I thought the service they offered was very good. The person offered to pick me up at the clinic after the operation for which I would send a person in my charge to pick up who is included in the payment as well as the necessary transfers from the recovery house to the clinic with their returns and that if you come from outside Miami they look for me at the airport and take me the day I left (which did not apply to me). I received a message saying that if I was interested in the reservation to make the $500 deposit. From the day before the surgery pre-operative (June 25, 2024) The clinic asked me for the address of the recovery house and who would be in charge of picking me up and responsible for me, I called him and they never answered the phone only by messages when I asked them for the information he just told me to give them the name and that's it, so I asked them to please give me the information otherwise I would not enter at 6:30 am to my surgery and I don't want to lose her, finally he gave me Lili's address and name. At about 5pm I was waiting for my turn for my last pre-operative exam and a text message came in from it saying that I had to pay the total reservation because otherwise they would not be willing to pick me up at the exit of my surgery. The place is not equipped with bathrooms or anything necessary for people in recovery, Those days we were 4 women and only one bathroom plus only one person in charge who gave us her cell phone number so that we could call her when we needed her and when one called her we put the speaker and she came out answering that the line was busy, so the person did not care that we called him he did not assist anyone only when he finished he came to ask what was happening, that's it a part of the house to be more exact a room (with 5 reclining chairs and 3 extendable beds with a hole in the support for women with BBL), There was only one bathroom for the 4 of us at that time that we had to wait for each other, the bathroom didn't have the supports in the shower for people in recovery, a toilet paper that was only replaced when it's finished never before, the meals that appear on social networks never existed in my stay., One of the girls asked for the vegetable juice and the person responded saying they haven't brought vegetables and you can't do it, the first meal after the operation was a cup of lentils (which filled us all with gas), the following meals were: a piece of fried pork chop, fried plantain, and sweet potato, again lentils, a glass of pineapple, soursop juice, toast with butter, etc,,. to name some of the meals. We asked her to put 3 bottles of water for the night and Mrs. told us that there were no more, one of the girls told her well send them to buy and she just looked at her and said it is not possible because it is Friday weekend and the purchases will be made until Monday and we all began to tell her that this was a scam that they deceived us and that is why they asked us in advance Payment. At night we called to get up from the chairs we could no longer stand alone and no one would seat us, we had to stand up as we could and even if we called we were not reciprocated to the necessary assistance. I cried from the pain because of the drains I had since it burned a lot and I could not rest and the person in charge that day the only thing he did was tell me to hold on, he told me to show that it bothers you and when he opened my girdle belt he hit him hard that the drain that I was holding on to came loose leaving me hanging and pulling me that I only cried for hours, An insensitivity never before imagined and even less so in a "recovery center". I absolutely enjoyed my stay at oasis recovery home! I definitely recommend if you are getting any surgery in Miami, RECOVER at OASIS! Not only did they treat me like family. They made my recovery so much smoother, they were on top of taking care in any way. The staff I will miss dearly, they made sure the house was spotless! They made sure we ate each day...btw FOOD is amazing. It felt like a vacation how smooth my process was! The best thing is that everything you may need.. oasis got it! Do not stay at this recovery home. I had my surgery coordinator from the clinic recommended a different recovery home called pretty House which I reserved a week with . The week of my surgery I was contacted by someone else named Lily which is not even her real name. I was given 2 different addresses. I was dropped off at this Oasis recovery home after surgery not even a home it was a converted garage with 2 bathroom and a separate tiny bedroom. They kept all of us in recliner chairs and beach chairs seating next to each other. Demanded the rest of the payment balance in cash and cash only. They somewhat take of you the first day after surgery give a shower right after surgery before they even tell you at the clinic that is safe to shower dry your incision with a hair dryer do not give enough towels to dry yourself properly. Exposing to bacteria and vulnerable to an infection. They don't provide everything that is supposed to be included in the package care that you pay for. I was charged an extra $200 bucks for the transportation after my surgery from the clinic to the recovery home because I came out of surgery after 11 pm. I got a ride to my post op appointment the following day along with another lady. After that I was just riding Uber back and forth to the clinic. Thank God I did not buy any massages from them. They sell you everything at outrageous prices. Awful food not appropriate for anyone recovering from surgery. I spent my last days at a hotel by myself. And was so much better than at that place . You had ask them to bring another roll of cheap toilet paper. Rude no one knew English. Not trained to care for post operative patients recovering from surgery. And if they can they will ripped off. I started ordering everything I needed from Amazon. Nothing was provided free of charge at this place. No transportation to and from the airport as advertised. Also don't trust the people at the clinics recommending this unlicensed unprofessional recovery homes with awful service.the view in the back was the only thing nice about the place. read more

WOW!! This place is 10stars! I had went with a different recovery and had a horrible experience from the first day of my surgery . I reached out to Monica to see if she had space for me to get in. She got back to me ASAP and opened the door for me the next day! Very fast, accurate, and friendly. The staff is amazing!! Maye is AMAZING.. If your looking for a place to not feel like your away from home and recovering this is the PLACE!! The scenery is AMAZING as well.. When they say 24 care that is exactly what you get here.. The house and food is nothing like the picture. The place is not clean, they do not pick up your medication on time the food is bad and really small portions. The care that you receive from them is so bad, the ladies that take care of you are rude and if you complain they treat you bad and tell you if you do it again you are living the house but at the time you want to live they tell you that you are not allowed. You are not allowed to go inside out outside the house through the front you always have to go through the back. If you following appointment is in a different time from the other ladies that are in the same house as you are they tell you that they are not going to take you. This was the worst experience, and on top of everything this retreat or home place is not register. read more

Worst place I've ever been to! They don't live up to any expectations or things that they promise you! I flew in from Chicago got to get a bbl (my surgery place was amazing they aren't affiliated). They told me that they were "overbooked" and I had to go stay in a cheap motel in a room with a random woman!!! I cried and almost didn't get my surgery because of that! Then I was charged for my medications 400$! My surgery place said that was insane and no one has ever paid over 200 for meds! So then I ended up doing my surgery so it wasn't a total wasted trip. Next thing you know my post op day comes so I went to my post op, then they had me riding around sitting in the car for 2 and a half hours because the other girls weren't ready to be picked up! I was shaking and crying! The driver didn't even speak English either I told him I'm in pain I want to go home! Then he put in on Google translate e that he was sorry and that he was "just taking orders" from the owner Monica!!! Smh this place is disgusting. Just all in it for the money. Especially being women who have had surgery themselves you'd think they would be more understanding and passionate! One of the nurses was so mean with brown hair and glasses! An older lady she would me to "andale" or hurry up and banged on the bathroom door while I was trying to pee with drains coming out of me! Then when I didn't understand what she was saying she would get frustrated and mumble stuff under her breath in Spanish! I'm sorry this is America if your gonna run a business you need people that can speak at least SOME English! This isn't cubs or Mexico! Lastly, if he food was bland and dry! Most nights I could barely eat and I had to order out! I also had groceries delivered. There was nothing that was high in calories which is needed for a bbl recovery! All healthy food like yogurt and Nut bars! Smh ‍ if you don't want all healthy Cuban food everyday and to be treated horrible and forgotten about 2 days post op and then STEER CLEAR! I cried almost everyday that I wanted to go home. If it weren't for the other lovely ladies that were guests with me I wouldn't have made it through in this prison! Oh yeah and if you wake up in the middle of the night and need ANYTHING they tell you to "shhhhhhhhh" so if you wake up and it's passed 11pm don't expect any help unless it's the day of your surgery. read more

I Booked with Oasis and 4 days before my surgery they canceled and said I have to find somewhere else to stay (due to some issues at 1 of 3 recovery homes) they didn't offer any alternatives or suggestions. Just didn't care AT ALL about the major inconvenience..... I texted back to ask about my refund since THEY WERE CANCELING and I got no response, I also tried calling only to find out they blocked me. I booked with oasis for my recovery stay from 5/27-5/30. I paid $500 deposit and 1 week before my surgery the TEXT ME not even call but TEXT and tell me that the pipes burst (which they have 3 locations)and they have to close down for the next couple days so I should start looking for another place to stay. Mind you my surgery is less then 1 week away right now. I immediately start calling and texting back after getting that text from them to ask about my deposit and NO ONE RESPONDS. All 3 phone numbers listed on the website, no one answers. It just says the person you are trying to reach has not set up voicemail. Do NOT book with this recovery house. They will take your money and not pick you up from surgery. They owe my sister over 2,200 and will not respond to a request for refund. My sister was abandoned after a major surgery, with the excuse of, "we got your phone number mixed up with someone else who canceled" my sister text her case manager the day she arrived in Miami letting her know the time of her surgery and the what time she needed to be picked up. Her case manager told her they would be there after surgery. The day of surgery they told the surgeon staff they would not be picking her up. This place is a SCAM. read more

Oasis recovery house was paid in full for aid with recovery after surgery . Oasis recovery house was advised when I landed in Miami at the surgery center for preop appointment. I contacted my worker named Jasmine to advise her that I landed and kept her updated the entire day before surgery. She gave me a number to put on my app at the surgery center for the person who would to be picking me up after surgery. Jasmine advised everything was good to go for my surgery the next morning at 5:30. When the surgery center called Oasis recovery house driver to pick me up they advise that I canceled services. They did not pick me up from my surgery and left me stranded. They were paid in full breached the contract and did not render services. Oasis recovery house talk to my sister because I was still under anesthesia and did not take responsibility for their actions. I then canceled My services entirely with them because I felt very uncomfortable staying with a company that leaves me stranded after surgery. I tried to contact this agency for my refund because they advised that they had to see if I was eligible for a refund and I receive no update and have been ignored since then. My stay at this recovery home was not what was advertised. Initially arriving in Miami I had previously made arrangements to be picked up from the airport by the driver Laura. I call her as directed when I arrived. She then told me she would be late to pick me up because she had other clients to take care. But then she switched it up and came on to get me. It was an early flight so I honestly feel she was still sleeping. But I got picked up after waiting 20mins so I wasn't too bothered..Then she took me to my pre-op appointment. While there she was texting me asking when I was gonna be done. So I felt rushed, but I still was not bothered. I quickly wrapped up with the appointment and let her know I was ready to be picked up. When we reached the location of stay she showed me my room and made me feel comfortable. Then later that evening, she sends me a list of rules via text. I do not have an issue following rules. But I would've liked to know them upfront so I can be prepared. Since one of the particular rules stated once you're there you can not leave for any reasons. My friend in town wanted to take me to get my last meal before surgery. And that could not happen due to the rules. I typically talk to my daughter before school every morning. But another rule was can not be on the phone before 9am. I told her I felt like I was in jail lol. Still not a major issue. So the next day was surgery day. Mind you I've never had surgery ever so my nerves was all over the place! Laura comes and takes me to surgery. Surgery goes well! Thank God! Then she is there to pick me up. Helps me in her truck, which is appreciated. But then we get back to the condo. She wheel me in to my room. I'm in so much pain but still kinda drowsy from the anesthesia. So she takes my prescriptions and tells me she will have them filled by a personal pharmacy that they use for cheaper. So I agreed and she then was like okay bye. I'm like no don't leave me I'm in pain. She then told me Marisela will take care of you and left out the door. Marisela does the cooking and cleaning and only speaks Spanish. When you're in pain you have no patience to use a phone translator. So I just laid there for a few hours. Called my family and let them know I was alive. Later Marisela came in to tell me dinner was ready. I got myself up and walked myself to the kitchen and ate some of the soup that was prepared for me. I was weak and in pain so then I just returned to my room. No vitals were ever taken that entire day. (Post surgery, yeah scary asf! Especially meaning I am a healthcare provider myself and I know how quickly things could turn for the worst). Okay, so next day is my post op appointment. Laura is aware of the time. She comes to get me 30mins late. Take me to my appointment. Mind you I still have no meds that I was suppose to start taking the same day of surgery. I ask her where is my meds. She's like I'm gonna get them to you later. She drops me off back at the condo. Then my family become upset at my care. So they reach out to her. She then have Marisela to take my blood pressure reading and give me some meds they had stored in the drawer. Claiming it was oxycodone. Then later that night they bring me a bag of my prescriptions with a price of $470. I'm like wtf! And left off my Zofran and four of my Lovenox shots. I said you told me this would be cheaper. I then myself contacted the local CVS a block away. And with my prescriptions discount the total would be $80. I showed them that. So Laura and Marisela started getting in their phones and talking Spanish. Then came to me saying just pay $158. I was like wtf you know what I'm just gonna leave. So I called my friend to pick me up and take me to a hotel. I have them $160 for the meds and left four days earlier. Mind you I was still weak asf but I felt this place was not safe for me.
