Stayed across the street in the Inn, but will look into the cottages next time! Service and food/ drinks top notch! You can tell everyone here takes a lot of pride in what they do. Food: Calamari was amazing! Super fresh, melt in your mouth strips ( not rings). The boyfriend is VERY picky but he loved these ones. Burger was huge and they even had a gluten free bun, which is hard to find. Bun was toasted and soft. Drinks: The bloody Mary's hit the spot, they do it up on the toppings. I even got some pork belly on top! Had one of their espresso martinis, also delish. They make it creamy which I love, I usually ask for it creamy. Lastly the lavender lemon drop was another great drink, super refreshing and it'll sneak up on ya!!! They do live music most Saturday nights as well!!

Nice restaurant with good food and especially the balcony with gorgeous views of grazing cows and a crane family. Across the street is Franks with a rustic bar for wine and beer and some basic burgers and more. Als0 great! My only remark would be to suggest the cabin add some basic items such as a wine opener and wine glasses. Perhaps even a cutting board and some utensils, basic salt and pepper. Would also be great if there would be fresh water to brew coffee.

Very nice place…read more The room was bigger than expected, and had a modern design aesthetic. I appreciated that the room has a fridge and microwave, and lots of places to plug in to charge phones, and USB charging ports next to the bed. The bed was comfortable. The room and surrounding area were quiet. The AC in the room was also relatively quiet. There is a large parking lot, which made parking my truck easier than usual. The parking lot is also well lit. The parking lot has EV chargers. The breakfast was very nice, and items were being replenished frequently; and the USB ports for charging at the table were something I haven't seen before. I didn't use the fitness room or the pool on my stay, so cannot comment on those. The staff was friendly. It feels like the whole place has been recently renovated for the modern traveler.

Rating: 1/5 Stars - DISGUSTING, OVERPRICED, AND UNINHABITABLE…read moreDo not stay here. It is an absolute scam. They are charging $150 a night in Red Bluff for what is essentially a bug-infested closet. This is pure price gouging and taking advantage of travelers who have nowhere else to go. The moment we walked in, we were hit with a revolting, overwhelming smell that permeated the entire building. To make matters worse, there were millions of bugs all over the hotel. It felt like a health hazard just standing in the lobby. Once we finally checked in, the nightmare continued: * The Heat: The room was stiflingly hot. It took over two hours for the AC to bring the temperature down to a tolerable level. * The Fridge: In a ridiculous attempt to "conserve energy," they keep the refrigerators turned off. So, if you have food or cold drinks, expect them to sit at room temperature while you wait for the appliance to actually start working. * The Beds: You might as well sleep on the parking lot pavement. The beds were hard as a rock and completely uncomfortable. This place is a disgrace. Save your money and your sanity--stay literally anywhere else. This "hotel" shouldn't be open for business.

The office manager, Beccca, came right out with a bright, friendly smile, and told me it was clear we needed a room with handicapped access. And she figured this out by the way I was moving and the fact that my wife was sitting in the truck waiting. It was a rough few days. Monday morning my wife hurt so much that we ended up calling 911. She spent the next couple of days in a hospital in Chico, diagnosed with a fractured hip (fortunately, no surgery required). Through my stay the entire staff; Becca; Ron, the owner; and the others went out of their way to help me as I ran back and forth between motel and hospital. At one point, unsure of when we would be getting out, the person who answered the phone told me he'd waive any cancellation fee if I ended up not needing the room that night. This is a NICE place! Clean, well-kept, fridge and microwave, grab bars in our room, freshly made beds, friendly stafff. It's gonna be our new stopping point on the way from Oregon to San Jose and back. Highly recommended! (And yes, we're safely home, with a visit to the orthopedist in two weeks, to monitor healing.)

It feels safer and community-like in person. The check in was smooth. The associate was polite and very helpful. The room had way too much perfume air freshener. Fortunately, the windows opened fully and the room aired out quickly. We stayed in the Nuthatch room. There was a relaxing patio out front. The room was super spacious. It had hardwood floors, a king bed, loveseat, a bistro table with 2 chairs, an armoire, chest of drawers, and the standard room amenities. The bathroom was away from the living area which was nice. The shower was huge! Everything was clean which was impressive for such a large room. We ordered two Indian dinners from the limited menu. The price was very reasonable, it was delivered to our room, the portions were large, and it was delicious. There was an air conditioner outside that was audibly off and on all night, but once we were asleep it was a non-issue. Breakfast in the morning was terrific. We asked for a specific 30-minute time-frame for delivery. The time could not be guaranteed, but breakfast was delivered as requested. The only negative was the many texts and emails prior to arrival. We plan on returning just to try a different room. We would definitely recommend The Inn at Shasta Lake!

The Inn at Shasta Lake was a quaint bed and breakfast located about 20 minutes outside of Redding…read more It was quiet and peaceful here. They allow pets in certain rooms which is nice if you're traveling with dogs! I enjoyed how communicative the staff were. If you needed something, you can text a number and they were on it! They advertise that you may not have service here, but we had service and they also had wifi. They had great views outside on the deck. The grounds were nicely maintained. It was very easy to get here and right off highway 5. On the other hand, being a bed and breakfast I was expecting breakfast to be a bit better tasting. Breakfast is included in your stay. They provide fruit, yogurt, granola, juice, coffee, and toast. You get to also choose one main entree served with a side of potatoes. The main entree rotates so it's different daily. Overall breakfast could definitely be improved taste wise, but it's very convenient and nice of them to do this. Another downfall was the temperature in the main lobby/ dining area. They ran it hot in there and if you needed to get ice (they don't have ice machines, so they provide buckets of ice) it was all melted. This happened twice. Minor complaints!
