Description of breakfast from their website

Absolutely disgusting motel. First let's start with the description online of their breakfast.... Breakfast - Every morning from 6am to 9am we host a complimentary breakfast of fresh waffles, fresh eggs, and a large continental selection featuring two kinds of cereal, a variety of oatmeal flavors, toast in wheat and white, bagels in plain, chocolate chip and blueberry, sausage and egg breakfast sandwich, yogurt in assorted flavors, fruit cups in juice in assorted varieties, fresh fruit including apples and bananas, regular and decaf coffee and black tea. This breakfast was not the case either morning. It was literally two boxes of donuts sitting on a counter next to a refrigerator with locks on it, with a sign that said employees only. There was also coffee and two types of cereal. Please see video... Ok let's see what's next. Ohhhh yes. The binder in the room (which actually did not happen to be in mine, so they better not charge me). My parents stayed in the room next to me and showed me their binder which included the price list, if you decided to take any of the room amenities home. Not sure which was my favorite. The mattress or the air conditioner? I have also attached a copy of the price list for your enjoyment. As if all of that wasn't bad enough, I woke up and went to take a shower this morning and found a friend crawling around the shower wall/ceiling. I took this short attached video and then went to grab a shoe to kill it and when I turned back around it was gone. I didn't see this listed on the amenities price list so hopefully I didn't take it home with me. There is also not any staff to help you if you need anything. We stopped by the office multiple times to speak with someone but never found anyone. When we got there, there was no one at the front desk, but there was a buzzer and when the lady came, she looked a little bit annoyed, but she checked us in. After that, they removed the buzzer so I'm not sure how you contact somebody. I am not sure what other options there are if you need to stay in this area but I would definitely not recommend. I would have given zero stars if allowed.

I would have given this place 5 stars if the morning person didn't screw up! I arrived around 8pm to check in. The front desk staff said that they know the special request of me wanting the bottom floor and that I would have a puppy with me. Then he tells me "unfortunately we are pretty booked this evening and that the morning staff did not save a bottom floor room as you requested, I apologize". Morning staff, you done effed up. I had a puppy with me and I wanted easy access to the outside instead of hauling him down the stairs. Anyways. Other than that this place was immaculate. New flooring, updated decor, spacious, clean. For $100 for one night and only a $10 pet fee? Hell yeah. This is where I'm staying when I'm traveling up north!

Quiet and Nice Stay [Red Bluff CA] If all you need is a place to shower and sleep this is a decent place to stay. Check-in was fast and easy and we were given a room on the second level. The room was clean and everything inside the unit was in working order. We had two Queen beds that were comfortable and A/C cooled the room comfortably. Continental breakfast was served from 6:00a to 9:00a. Cereal, bagels, waffles, bread, oatmeal, coffee/tea/OJ/ice tea/milk, scrambled eggs are served in the registration office which doubles as a dining room for breakfast. We tried it one morning. There are ample seating available. At night the building was well lit and we always found parking when we returned from a long day out from exploring. All three evenings were quiet nights. There is a Valero gas station conveniently at the corner and the freeway entrance is nearby. This motel was a good place to stay during the long weekend. Review #3453

Upon arriving at 7:58 pm we were greeted with a sign that said on break until 8:18 pm. There was one man sitting in the dining/ front desk area looking at his phone. Initially we went to the car to wait for the desk attendant to return, but decided to go back inside so we could be helped first when they came back from their break. While we were in there another guy came in and walked over to the guy sitting at the table, they started talking in a language I did not recognize. Then a 3rd guy came in and all 3 were there talking. When the desk attendant returned one of the 3 men rushed to the desk in front of us to ask if there was a package for him. The desk attendant rifled through a basket of mail on the counter then told the guy to look for himself. The guy behind the desk was very nice. He stated he was new and needed the manager to help him check us in. The 3 guys "hanging out" made us a little uncomfortable. When we went to our car to grab our bags there was another guy sitting in a full size truck. We made about 3- 4 trips ( upstairs so my husband had to carry everything). The guy was sitting in his truck the whole time. We kept looking out our window to make sure no one was messing with our car. A couple hours later he was still in his truck. He had his foot on the brake and brake lights were on. About an hour after checking in we saw one of the 3 guys at the very end of the balcony leaning against the wall looking at his phone. The room itself was clean with plenty of towels, however, we noticed an attic hatch above/ between the 2 beds and the hatch wasn't in properly. Made me nervous that someone could enter the hatch in another room and enter our room. We kinda slept with one eye open. Nothing happened but we weren't comfortable going to breakfast together. My husband went down first & came right back with only a cup of coffee. He said the food was gone. No eggs. No meat. Just 2 loaves of bread products in the bags with no serving tongs. I guess you just reach into the bag. I went down & grabbed a glass of OJ and returned to the room. We will not be returning to this particular location in our travels. If you are ok with the different elements I described like paying for a continental breakfast but no food & just want a place to sleep, this will work

What a fantastic remodel. I do not know what I was expecting, wow !!!! The entry was nice. It is amazing they have a changing area. Nice separation of space. Wonderful greeting at reception. There was someone in truing and I was listening. The focus is on the customer. Strict about the smoking, fine by me. I am a cigar smoker. There is an area designated for smoking. Nice nice

They are charging $150 a night in Red Bluff for what is essentially a bug-infested closet. This is pure price gouging and taking advantage of travelers who have nowhere else to go. The moment we walked in, we were hit with a revolting, overwhelming smell that permeated the entire building. To make matters worse, there were millions of bugs all over the hotel. It felt like a health hazard just standing in the lobby. Once we finally checked in, the nightmare continued: * The Heat: The room was stiflingly hot. It took over two hours for the AC to bring the temperature down to a tolerable level. * The Fridge: In a ridiculous attempt to "conserve energy," they keep the refrigerators turned off. So, if you have food or cold drinks, expect them to sit at room temperature while you wait for the appliance to actually start working. * The Beds: You might as well sleep on the parking lot pavement. The beds were hard as a rock and completely uncomfortable. This place is a disgrace. Save your money and your sanity--stay literally anywhere else. This "hotel" shouldn't be open for business.

Of course he told me, it doesn't matter, he would never smoke in a hotel room, if I was there due to my asthma, very sweet, but damn! There were cigarette burns and little black stains on the blanket, the sheet had a stain on it, the hand towels had make- up stains on them, the bottom of the bathroom door was messed up, and the paint was off it, the wall next to the bathroom door had a stain on it. The door was hard to close as well. The shower was pretty cool looking but if you decide to turn the water cooler, it causes the nice spray to lose its pressure. The pool had a padlock on it, so not sure if I was supposed to find someone to open it, but I would have figured it would had been left unlocked, as it was not supposed to be closed. The bed was horrible, both sides were definitely worn in, as they were sunken and the middle was not, so it kind of gave the feeling that we were going to roll off the bed. Would not stay again.

AND there is an additional charge of $10 per night to be on the bottom floor. The WiFi showed a full signal but wouldn't connect. I had to disable WiFi on my phone and use my Sprint signal which was weak but worked for what little I needed. In the $85 per night price range I'd rate this room 4 STARS. Room was very CLEAN and CONVENIENT. THERE ARE LOTS OF PLACES TO SPREAD THINGS OUT. There were absolutely no odors/aromas of anything which is always a plus. TUB/Shower is outdated but clean. Good hot water and pressure. The cabinet under the sink is so old and ugly it's actually MORE FUNNY than problematic. But because of the cabinet I looked more closely at other things. The bathroom door is ugly AND it sticks! There are many things that are old and dated but with all the other hotels full and the HAMPTON Inn charging $155 per night...we felt Grateful to have this room at all. The manager is excellent. Very nice and friendly and helpful. He brought us an extra chair for company. Good small microwave & refrigerator in the room with a freezer we could refreeze things in. Breakfast consisted of a Grab N Go bag. See my picture! Pretty funny. I generally enjoy budget MOM & POP hotels and choose them over these big chains. They often have a homespun charm about them that makes up for things being just plain old. This place has no homespun charm and I don't consider it a budget priced room at $110 per night...but it HAS been kept clean and the beds are comfortable and the heat works! The TV is Spectrum Cable. And REALLY...if you have a lot of stuff to spread out this place is ROOMY and CONVENIENT! They also THANKFULLY INCLUDE A MULTI-PLUG AC OUTLET BY THE BED! All that, and very friendly management made this a very PLEASANT stay. If you find this review useful please vote!
