I stayed here the night of August 23, 2025 as the halfway rest point to Susanville. My visit happened during a 105 degree heatwave, and was very happy to discover that the pool was working. I chose this over the nearby Super 8 because of Yelp reviews, and it was sure worth the extra money to stay here. When you come to the main office, you're greeted with fancy pillars, and you'll notice how it doubles as the main breakfast room with lots of seating, a filtered water fountain and... a washer and dryer ($2 for each)? I was assigned Room 119, a rather large room across from the pool area's entrance that featured a king sized bed with lots of pillows. Appliances: When you walk in, you'll instantly notice that you're in a small hallway that leads to the main room to the right, and a small dressing area to the left that's attached to the bathroom. The dressing area includes towel hangers and a bench to change to and from a bathing suit with a locker-like drawer under the bench. The main room includes a 32in TV, mini fridge and microwave. There are also outlets (two standard and USB) and everything works. You are given SD-quality basic DirectTV service that is piped in as normal TV channels, with the first one being a scrolling channel guide. For a city that aims to be the complete opposite of San Francisco, the artwork in the room screamed it. This place is not for the locals. Amenities: One of the things you notice is a welcome binder that is written by the staff. It gives info about places to go in town and a run-down of the amenities, some you don't find in other Days Inn like a fitness room (which I haven't checked this stay) and dog park. Read it if you stay here. The fancy "nameplate shaped" pool is longer than most other motel pools in the area at 12 yards and the depth goes from 3.5 to 6 feet. At night, the lighting is beautiful, with the pool lighting up purple and string lights illuminating the area, I wish the string lights all worked properly. They were also inflatables available, which was a nice addition. I only wish they provided the towels on-site instead of asking at registration. Internet: The passcode you're given is the network key, and there is no captive portal. The internet is cable fast and the signal is strong. Cleanliness: The room was very clean and bugless. I was given two trash cans (one large and small). Unlike the room, the pool area and dog park left a bit more to be desired. Even though there are clean up bags available, there was dog poop laying in one area. I know it's a dog park, but please be a responsible pet owner and clean that up. The pool furniture left my towels smelling like dog as well. Breakfast: Unlike every other Days Inn I've stayed where I was only given coffee, the apple/orange juice dispenser and a cereal bar/muffin, I was treated to a full continental breakfast here. In addition, you have the choice of scrambled eggs, a waffle machine, a selection of fruits, hot and cold cereals (hot in oatmeal packets and cold with a cereal dispenser) and much more. Conclusion: Even though this is a Days Inn, the amenities it offers makes it like a low key La Quinta, but a few things that prevent it from being such. 4.5 stars. read more

It's not up to par with some of the hotels I've stayed at nearby, pretty run down. As clean as clean can be. Will I stay here again? Probably not...but the price was right for three of us to split. For us this trip it's not about the hotels, it's just a place to rest. As long as I don't see bugs or unwanted fluid I'm fine. I ran my blacklight, while my friend sanitized where needed. We didn't hang out coats on the rack because it looked like something splashed all over after I ran the blacklight through it . Bedding had a few stains but at least it didn't look like blood or seminal fluid . So my friends are sleeping, I'm up at after 3am writing this because I can't sleep. I will have to say this place is pretty quiet. At first I was very afraid because upon arrival the train was so loud and we were worried there will be no sleep all night. It's past 3am and I hear a train, but it's not loud at all. I don't hear the neighbors either. So it's nice that the rooms are pretty soundproof. There's a little coffee pot, a couple coffee packs, a mini fridge. We didn't have to use because we have an ice cooler, and a small tv. Paul at the front desk brought us more towels. They provide you with dark towels also to remove your makeup. They charge you extra if your towels are stained. I have blue hair so I bring my own dark towels, and my own pillow cases so I don't stain any hotel beddings. So I shouldn't be charged at checkout. There are plenty of outlets, and usb plug ins for the three of us to charge our devices. Front desk made sure we were on the first floor so we could park right in front. That was very convenient. That's why I give this place a three star instead of a two. If anything changes after checkout I'll be sure to update. The photos I posted aren't mine. I called and booked directly with the hotel and was quoted approximately $90, but by the end of the call the total came to $145. I understand the $10 pet fee, but the rest was explained as taxes and fees, which felt misleading. We were very tired, so we just accepted it and checked in. The room itself was decent, but there were several issues. There were coffee packets but no coffee maker, a missing picture on the bathroom wall, and one of the shower bottles was broken off. Only two full-size towels were provided, and they were very thin and not what you would expect. The room was also missing basic items you typically find in hotels, especially one associated with Wyndham no laundry bag, no notepad or pen, and no local information or reading material. The lamp shades were also loose and flimsy. We were also traveling with a dog, and the designated pet area in the back had cigarette butts all over the ground, which was very disappointing. Additionally, the photos online do not accurately reflect this specific location in Red Bluff. DO NOT BE FOOLED Overall, for the price paid, this stay was not worth it. Absolutely disgusting motel. First let's start with the description online of their breakfast.... Breakfast - Every morning from 6am to 9am we host a complimentary breakfast of fresh waffles, fresh eggs, and a large continental selection featuring two kinds of cereal, a variety of oatmeal flavors, toast in wheat and white, bagels in plain, chocolate chip and blueberry, sausage and egg breakfast sandwich, yogurt in assorted flavors, fruit cups in juice in assorted varieties, fresh fruit including apples and bananas, regular and decaf coffee and black tea. This breakfast was not the case either morning. It was literally two boxes of donuts sitting on a counter next to a refrigerator with locks on it, with a sign that said employees only. There was also coffee and two types of cereal. Please see video... Ok let's see what's next. Ohhhh yes. The binder in the room (which actually did not happen to be in mine, so they better not charge me). My parents stayed in the room next to me and showed me their binder which included the price list, if you decided to take any of the room amenities home. Not sure which was my favorite. The mattress or the air conditioner? I have also attached a copy of the price list for your enjoyment. As if all of that wasn't bad enough, I woke up and went to take a shower this morning and found a friend crawling around the shower wall/ceiling. I took this short attached video and then went to grab a shoe to kill it and when I turned back around it was gone. I didn't see this listed on the amenities price list so hopefully I didn't take it home with me. There is also not any staff to help you if you need anything. We stopped by the office multiple times to speak with someone but never found anyone. When we got there, there was no one at the front desk, but there was a buzzer and when the lady came, she looked a little bit annoyed, but she checked us in. After that, they removed the buzzer so I'm not sure how you contact somebody. I am not sure what other options there are if you need to stay in this area but I would definitely not recommend. I would do a half start if there was one, the only positive thing I have to say is the room is clean ... sort of... there were a couple of items I am receiving we left by a prior resident... have a pamphlet it gives you some useful information however, it also list what their continental breakfast consist of..... it says they have eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, waffles, fruit, juices, etc....... The reality is there were two boxes of donuts. There were no eggs no sausage. I would have given this place 5 stars if the morning person didn't screw up! I arrived around 8pm to check in. The front desk staff said that they know the special request of me wanting the bottom floor and that I would have a puppy with me. Then he tells me "unfortunately we are pretty booked this evening and that the morning staff did not save a bottom floor room as you requested, I apologize". Morning staff, you done effed up. I had a puppy with me and I wanted easy access to the outside instead of hauling him down the stairs. Anyways. Other than that this place was immaculate. New flooring, updated decor, spacious, clean. The new owner Kulwant is absolutely terrible the quality of the rooms is awful most of the TVs don't work right the remotes are broken the lights don't always work the big beds are filthy if you walk barefoot in the rooms your feet literally turn black it is disgusting went down to try to use the pool it literally smelled like urine I go down to get breakfast and half of the stuff is either gone or she's not replacing it this is hands down one of the worst places you can stay in Red Bluff your car will get broken into here. read more

Quiet and Nice Stay [Red Bluff CA] If all you need is a place to shower and sleep this is a decent place to stay. Check-in was fast and easy and we were given a room on the second level. The room was clean and everything inside the unit was in working order. We had two Queen beds that were comfortable and A/C cooled the room comfortably. Continental breakfast was served from 6:00a to 9:00a. Cereal, bagels, waffles, bread, oatmeal, coffee/tea/OJ/ice tea/milk, scrambled eggs are served in the registration office which doubles as a dining room for breakfast. We tried it one morning. There are ample seating available. At night the building was well lit and we always found parking when we returned from a long day out from exploring. All three evenings were quiet nights. Upon arriving at 7:58 pm we were greeted with a sign that said on break until 8:18 pm. There was one man sitting in the dining/ front desk area looking at his phone. Initially we went to the car to wait for the desk attendant to return, but decided to go back inside so we could be helped first when they came back from their break. While we were in there another guy came in and walked over to the guy sitting at the table, they started talking in a language I did not recognize. Then a 3rd guy came in and all 3 were there talking. When the desk attendant returned one of the 3 men rushed to the desk in front of us to ask if there was a package for him. The desk attendant rifled through a basket of mail on the counter then told the guy to look for himself. The guy behind the desk was very nice. He stated he was new and needed the manager to help him check us in. The 3 guys "hanging out" made us a little uncomfortable. When we went to our car to grab our bags there was another guy sitting in a full size truck. We made about 3- 4 trips ( upstairs so my husband had to carry everything). The guy was sitting in his truck the whole time. We kept looking out our window to make sure no one was messing with our car. A couple hours later he was still in his truck. He had his foot on the brake and brake lights were on. About an hour after checking in we saw one of the 3 guys at the very end of the balcony leaning against the wall looking at his phone. The room itself was clean with plenty of towels, however, we noticed an attic hatch above/ between the 2 beds and the hatch wasn't in properly. Made me nervous that someone could enter the hatch in another room and enter our room. We kinda slept with one eye open. Nothing happened but we weren't comfortable going to breakfast together. My husband went down first & came right back with only a cup of coffee. He said the food was gone. No eggs. No meat. Just 2 loaves of bread products in the bags with no serving tongs. I guess you just reach into the bag. I went down & grabbed a glass of OJ and returned to the room. We will not be returning to this particular location in our travels. Let's start off with this, after a 8 hour road trip we get out of the car to only find a dirty used condom right outside our driver's door. Absolutely disgusting!! Not to mention the smell of the outside. We where willing to look past it due to our reservations; the outside isn't really the hotels responsibility but holy, first impressions matter!! As I began to take my dog out to use the restroom 3 people ( 2 males, 1 female) 2 of them where definitely a couple, and they are obviously very under the influence of illegal substances. She began to stare at me, so I look up and make sure she's not coming near me and she gets kinda close to me so I make sure I'm not blind sighted. As they walk past she yells, " HE HAS A WIFE YOU KNOW"! Towards me, ( im an OBVIOUSLY under aged girl. ) that is a very crazy statement to make. Very uncomfortable and very very ghetto. This Days Inn was nicely done on the outside. Lots of Parking and lighting, and a nice Lobby. Also a nice Pool and pool area. The 2 Desk Clerks who assisted were very nice and accommodating. There are several Restaurants you can drive to in a very short distance; and a Taco Food Truck right on the street nearby. The Room was simple and uncluttered. Under $100 Inns are not easy to come by in many towns, this was good for what we needed. The Linens/towels were clean and the bathroom was nice with all lotions/liquids needed. *Only Issues we had were the floors were not clean: a vacuum/mop needs to be done every time. The Air Conditioner needed cleaned well inside; it was dirty in the vents/grate which isn't obvious unless you look at it. We have fire crews working the park fire. The front desk staff, David, Amber, and Nancy went above and beyond to accommodate us. The only missing star is because the location isn't close to much. Looks sketchy on the outside, but it is a great place. Rooms are clean, big enough, comfortable. Wifi great, no problems. Kids went swimming in the pool, no problems. Not heated, but clean. Office staff worked to accommodate any needs. Breakfast was included, and one of the better included breakfasts we experienced on a three week trip. Dog friendly rooms, no problem. If you stay during the week, the taco truck that is walking distance from the hotel is well worth your time. Cash only. Delicious, authentic Mexican food. read more

Overall nice motel with comfy bed and good shower. Nicely remodeled. Overall very clean. Negatives: It is right off the I-5 corridor so if your room is in back side by pool you will hear that traffic all night. Ask for room on the front side. Our room was on lower level there was was small gap in lower door that let light and ants in. As you come in from outside there is about 1/2 inch step up which I did not see with my arms full of luggage resulting in a trip and near fall. Thank goodness for door frames to block a fall. Positives Friendly and helpful staff Great price! Comfy bed. Despite the few negatives we would def stay here again Oh one last little surprise. Got up in middle of night to go to bathroom. We just returned home after our family spent a total of 7 nights at this motel. This was by far the worst establishment we have ever stayed at. I will list our reasoning: 1. Upon entering we found 2 live roaches, and several dead ones that had been squashed from previous guests. 2. Upon returning from dinner, we could not get into our room and had to walk down 2 flights of stairs and back up with a new key card. 3. Breakfast the next morning ... the area was filthy (see pictures). This was at 7:30 am. 4. The waffle machine was malfunctioning, 4. there were no eggs left, 5. and the desk clerk kept coming and going from the desk to the food area putting out more muffins, cooking eggs in the microwave, and trying to fix the waffle batter machine ... without washing her hands or wearing gloves! 6. Coming back home that evening we once again could not get in our room and bruised our shoulders trying to push the door open. Again, up and down 2 flights of stairs. And we are in pur 70's. 7. There were no clean towels Upon arriving, the bed had not been made, and no coffee. Desk clerk said we did not "sign up" for service when we checked in. 8. She said she would get us towels. When asked when they would be delivered, she said we would have to come and get them at the front desk. Another trip down the stairs and back up. 9. Next evening coming in once again the door won't t open. Another trip down to desk clerk (who is standing outside talking on her cell phone,) she comes up to try to open the door, tries to push her shoulder against it hard, several times, and it finally opens. She told us you just have to push it this way or that until it engages, then push at the right time. 10. Again no clean towels, coffee, or bed made. 11. Check out time ... thank goodness! Now she gives us a copy of a recept for our daughters room for 4 nights, but was put on our 2nd daughter's credit card. NO! We had paid in advance for our 3 nights AND her 3 nights through a 3rd party vendor. She argued with us to just call them and ask for a refund. Not acceptable, we told her to cancel it off the credit card. She said she couldn't do that. She was very obnoxious, but kept calling us rude. We received copies of 2 conflicting receipts. Never, ever again would we stay here, or any Days Inn for that matter. As a matter of fact, they really need to be reported to the Health Department. read more

I wish there was a way to give more than 5 stars to this immaculately maintained facility that provided us with excellent service, help, and other amenities. My Hertz rental car broke down while I was there, and I was stranded for a day and a half without a vehicle. My entire family, including a Golden Retriever, was stranded in the area, and my ability to take my dog to Redding/Lassen along with us was severely limited. The hotel staff was extremely caring that they never stopped assisting us. While we were out, Manager Tyler personally walked my dog twice. Nancy, one of their employees, made certain that their breakfast area stayed accessible for my children throughout the day to assist us in our predicament. The room was also extremely pleasant and clean, with a large screen TV, refrigerator, work desk/chair, and a wonderful bathroom with chrome doors, etc. Outside, there was also a lovely swimming pool. We enjoyed our stay in our recently remodeled room. Wood panel floors throughout made it feel clean and neat, in ways carpet can't. The walk-in shower was new with glass doors and non slip flooring was perfect for a motel. Breakfast waffles and scrambled eggs were very tasty and made on site. Coffee and juices along with cereals, toast, and battles were also good choices. Staff was wonderful and helpful when we needed to make changes. We were able to get the last room on the side facing away from I-5. The traffic noise wasn't too bad, but our end room had an older window that could use an upgrade... the only real downside because it did let noise in. read more

Check in was good, polite and professional. Room is super, super basic. Bed was comfortable, refrigerator worked well. Its right off the interstate 5 so lots of noise from the semi trucks. Luckily the very loud air conditioner helped drown out the noise. Area outside of lobby front and back had a heavy smell of cigarettes all three times I went to the lobby. The room had a step in shower just by chance, I did not request it and the floor of the shower just had a slight concave to it but did nothing to prevent water from going ALL over the bathroom floor and actually soaked into the baseboards. I almost slipped on the vinyl floor when getting out. It took 2 bath towels that were completely soaked to mop up the water. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was for the included breakfast and the convenience of grabbing food, coffee and on the road. Breakfast bar was pathetic, seriously pathetic. They did have low quality frozen mini bagels but no cream cheese or butter, only peanut butter??? The worst of it was the large coffee dispenser had a label on it that said regular coffee, then on top of the dispenser there was a sign that said decaf. I went to the front desk attendant and asked him which it was and he said decaf. I asked where the regular coffee was, he said we don't have any, I asked him why, he said we just don't, thats what we have. Are you kidding me??? A hotel on the interstate that caters to travelers that doesn't have coffee????? I had to go to a convenience store and buy a cup of coffee. I had called the front desk the night before and asked where the ice machine was, the attendant told me its out of order, the Coke machine was also out of order. If your ice machine is out of order, go buy some and put it in a bin for your guest. The ice machine is in the dining area and I could her it making ice while I was having breakfast. Not sure if all Days Inn are like this or this location is just horribly mismanaged. Front desk attendant that checked me out did not ask me how my stay was, which I have never not been asked that at a hotel upon checkout. We checked into our room at 9:30 pm 7/11/24 and walked into a dirty stained doormat. There were crumbs and debris all over the floor especially under the desk. My daughter's bed sheet actually had dry bloody boogers on her sheet! If it wasn't so late we would have demanded another room or clean sheets. When we inspected for bed bugs we noticed the mattress cover was all stained. The night table had hairs and crumbs. The light switches were dirty & grimy. It was hard to find and looked like a cheap motel. If this is a 3 star hotel, it's a complete joke. Lastly, when eating breakfast the next morning they ran out of plates. I told the lady at the desk as my waffle was cooking and she said she would get more. She continued to talk to her co-worker and then left the building! Luckily I was looking around in the cupboards and found some. The lack of urgency and poor customer service was shocking. This was a horrible place I wouldn't recommend to an enemy! read more

Mr. Sharma was very kind in booking accommodations by phone and sending a confirmation to my email. When checking in, the front desk staff was warm and welcoming. The accommodations were clean and simple, what one might expect from a quality motel room -- the furnishings and appliances looked good and work well! We liked having a larger 'mini fridge' and microwave too. The surroundings are fairly quiet and centrally located. Amazing place if you take the price into consideration. Great and friendly employee. Super helpful with any questions we had. she showed us our rooms, we got two, and both were clean and comfortable. Place also has a small workout room with two cardio machines and a rack of weights and a bench. Place is conveniently located next to a gas station or if you want to go the store, just drive 5 minutes into town. Traffic noise not a big problem and not the motel's fault anyways for the ones complaining. Showers were nice and clean with everything you need. Breakfast was included with our room, and the place has a nice little dining area so wake up early and you won't have to wait in line. I was so impressed with the owners who greeted me in the lobby at around 11:30 PM. We had been driving for hours and could not find any hotels that had rooms available in Redding and Red Bluff. We are used to staying at high end hotels. The owner who was at the check-in desk called numerous locations to see if he could find a reservation for my husband and I since their hotel was full with no reservations available. I was surprised since this was a Sunday evening. He was unable to find anything for me, including a call to the Casino in the next town of Corning. Then he received a call from a client cancelling their reservation and I was able to take their room. I found the room to be clean, and everything had been updated. The shower was great with glass and chrome doors and a strong flow of water from the new shower head. The big screen TV and refrigerator were was great. The king bed was comfortable and the room did not lack anything. It even had a desk and comfortable chair with ottoman for reading. The girl helping in the lobby to register guests even came to our car to help us carry in our luggage. The service was outstanding! The next day I found out this hotel has new owners who had spend the last year renovating this hotel. It had only been opened for one month. I don't know why people are saying to ignore the old bad reviews. Reading through them, aside from some decor updates, they seem pretty accurate. I'll start with the good though: the person at the desk was very nice. The bedding seemed clean, and the beds were pretty comfortable. We had a double room, which was nice for our kids. Lots of USB charging ports. Negatives: there were ants, a steady stream of them, going up and down the exterior door frame and into a vent in the roof. We found several in the room as well. There was a dead bug on the floor right when we stepped into the room. A spider web with lots of bugs in it (so it had clearly been there a long time) in plain sight in the corner. Every corner of the room had debris. The floor was kind of sticky which may have been the cleaning solution they use, as it didn't seem DIRTY, just sticky. We had to kill several earwigs in the room. The towel by the sink had hair on it (looked like dog hair). The freeway noise was awful. We've stayed in many hotels right off of the freeway before and usually been pleased with how quiet the rooms are despite it. In this hotel, I don't know if they have single pane windows or what, but it was AWFUL, sounded almost like we were outside. The kids in the back bedroom did ok, we brought their sound machine. My husband and I barely slept and ended up getting up at 3:30am because there was no point in trying to sleep anymore. read more

A happy surprise when finding a reasonable place to stay for the night. Checked in to friendly service and a fresh-looking lobby, then to my room which was newly renovated, clean, and comfortable. With the fan going, also quieter then expected. Breakfast had more options than expected, too - eggs, waffles,fruit, etc. Next time I'm through this way I'm definitely staying here again. Traveling from So Cal to Washington on 4th of July weekend. First night's stop was in Red Bluff. I read prior reviews and was sort of concerned. However the complaints seemed to be the type that can vary from person to person. Complaints about bed softness etc vs just wanting a place to rest. Property recently renovated. Clean AF. Check in was quick and easy. The gal at the front desk on 6/29 in the afternoon was friendly and recommended a taco truck for lunch. Pool was great, shower had good pressure, and toilet flushed like a champ. Renovated hotel opened after 09/2021. Look at reviews from 2022 and go off that. I recommend it. read more

For a middle of nowhere place or any place really I was so impressed! Room was super clean and updated, very comfortable bed and great tv options. The pool was so clean and well taken care of, and a guy from the hotel was cooking a pretty solid free breakfast in the morning! The staff was super friendly and professional! If you need a place to stay around here there's no way you can beat this place! I wish I had this review when I booked so I Hope this helps someone! read more

We spent one night on our way home to Seattle Wa. As another guest wrote, disregard the negative reviews. This inn was recently updated. I had asked for a king suite not knowing their suite was two rooms connected together, a king bed and two queens in adjoining room with its own tv, micro-wave, fridge. Great room for a couple with kids . One bathroom beautifully updated. We had our large dog with us. Management and employees were fantastic. So friendly. Made us feel welcome. Loved our dog. They gave us the room basically for price of a regular king room, which was not available. 2 queen bed room was available but they let my husband and I stay in the larger room. We think the update of the rooms were very beautiful, professionally done. This is a quaint little hotel next to the freeway. Large newer TVs. All very clean. The pool was not open yet, but all we needed was a place to sleep. We were very impressed with the updates done ,the new shrubs put in and rose bushes, trees lining the drive. Would definitely stay again. Very nice staff and great manager! read more
