I had a great experience with Nazik. She told me she was new to the salon with over 30 years of experience under her belt, and let me tell you. It shows!!! I went in with an inspiration picture and she knew exactly what to do. Every step through the hair cut she was explaining to me what she was doing. I am all about this place. My hair matters to me so I am very careful with who I go to and the prices they are charged. This place right here is a hidden gem! I've gotten my haircut twice in the past year by Derrick and he did justice to my hair. Recently, as soon as they opened up I decided to give him even more business! That's right, I took my son and husband to get their hair cuts by him. My husband is also very picky with who cuts his hair but after his stylist moved to another state and Supercuts cut too short, he finally gave in to trying this hidden gem. To my surprise he loved it as well! Derrick did so great with my three year old as well, he noticed my son became bothered by the loud sound of the clippers and I notified him my son is sensitive to loud sounds. She has done my weave numerous times and has always had a reasonable/flexible schedule that met my needs. I needed an appointment real soon and other places wouldn't answer or had availability two weeks out. I called Oasis and got an appointment for just a haircut the next day with Britney. She was great! Very knowledgeable with curly hair since I have had issues in the pass with other stylists. I am very please on how my hair turned out. I originally posted a review about my 3 visits to Oasis with Kacee Jones. A person who was not experienced in doing highlights that claimed she was. She damaged my hair to the point where she fried my highlights on the top. After over a month I decided to post this and the owner Doreen finally reached out to me. She offered to do my hair or help in some way. I had already done research and was thankful I corrected as best as possible for the situation with a reputable salon. I went in after she was back in town and she helped me choose products to repair the hair that didn't break off. She let me know the stylist acknowledged what had happened and that they were to do training to avoid this from happening again. She carefully explained how to help strengthen my hair. As much as I did appreciate that she did help with giving me products that were a-little more than what I did pay the stylist..sadly the damage is irreversible and will take months to years to repair and grow back. I expected this kind of professionalism going in and if I was to do it all over again I would have wanted to know that new stylists weren't upheld to professional standards. read more

Although the curly hair specialist/Goddess was booked for months, she hooked me up with Bree who she consulted on how to address the issues specific to naturally curly hair. Bree did an amazing color correction and hair cut for me. She is very talented! If you want to feel younger and more gorgeous, you should treat yourself to an afternoon at Oasis. Over the course of 2 months my hair and self esteem was absolutely destroyed coming here. I went to Michelle for a color cut and style and she completely ruined my hair. To the point where I had to cut about 5-6 inches off bc it was so damaged. The color and cut was horrible. Uneven and patchy. It brought me to tears multiple times. My hair was my biggest insecurity after being seen by her. Today I went back to another stylist, Taren, and even she could see the undeniable damage that was done to my hair. She didn't even know what to do with it at first. I ended up having to go darker because it was so patchy and my hair was too dead to bleach again. My hair was patchy, blotchy, and uneven all over. Thank you Taren for color correcting my hair. I'm just so disappointed in what I had to go through to get to this point. I paid $200 and ended up back with dark hair and 5-6 inches shorter. My cut I ended up with now is fine. I had to change the part in my hair and get bangs to mask the horrendous uneven cut I had. I'm not happy with the bangs so I'll probably be wearing my hair up or in a hat for the next few months. Anyways, thank you Doreen (the owner) and Taren for helping me out as much as you could.
