I came here the other week to get my first full of conditioner. I am going plastic free so everytime I finish a product in plastic I replace it with something plastic free. I brought my glass mason jar (a sauce jar I cleaned and reused) and the women filled it for me. It was a little more expensive than what I would normally spend on conditioner (bc I normally buy the cheap whatever is on sale) BUT it made my hair smell and feel AMAZING. My hair is damaged from years of coloring but it made it look so healthy. I will be coming here with my jar from now on. I can't wait to get the shampoo! And try more of thier products. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this store! I've been using her handcrafted universal washes and conditioners for over a year now and my skin/hair have never looked and felt better! I also use the powdered, lavender scented detergent she sells along with the castille soap (that I use on everything - floors, showers, sinks, dishes, cleaning my makeup brushes, etc.) She carries so many amazing goodies from toothpaste, hair oils, candles, body scrubs and honey to household products such as detergent, reusable sponges, food wrap and reusable straws. Super cute new store in Babylon Village. I really love the concept here and what this whole place stands for. Everything is organic, and natural here - no SLS (sodium laurel sulfates) or weird stuff in their hair/body care products which I love. Everything is in glass bottles. You can bring your own from home if you prefer as well. It is truly amazing how much waste we produce each year, and a place like this where you can simply come and refill your shampoo/conditioner etc without adding to landfills is something to be proud of. I do believe they are adding additional products soon, cleaning, detergents and the like and would love to come back to check those out as well. The store is super clean, bright and welcoming and the two girls working (Priscilla and Sue) were very helpful and friendly. They gave me a sample of charcoal cream that you can use to shave with, which I haven't used yet. I bought a baby balm for my little guy and also purchased a shampoo of which they had several varieties. I ended up combining two of them - broccoli and lavender. Broccoli? Yes, broccoli. Thankfully it doesn't smell like the green vegetable, it has a very neutral scent. But the lavender gives it quite a pleasant aroma. I've washed my hair with it once and was pleased with the results. I did feel like I needed more of the product (I have long, thick hair) and it doesn't lather like you might be expecting/waiting for because there are no chemicals. I paid a little over $7 for a 4 oz bottle, and I believe the 15 oz (their largest) was $20. So, a bit expensive but on par with what you might pay for a high-end salon shampoo but without all the yucky chemical stuff in it. I will definitely be back, and am looking forward to trying more products as well as seeing what they will be adding to their inventory. I absolutely love this place. I tried different washes. My favorite is the sunshine however They ran out today so I tried the shine and balance and it is just as great. I have a very sensitive scalp and I am sensitive to smells. The conditioners I've officially tried all of them. I refilled with the licorice and key lime today. Key lime was great. I also use the wash as a body wash (same one as shampoo). The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I will keep coming here because the products are absolutely great! We dropped in to get some yummy organic face sprays, and ended up with that and a haircut for my six year old. Jeanine gave her the most beautiful cut. She listened to my daughter's wishes and was sooooo patient when my daughter was fidgety in the chair. My daughter is so happy with her first official haircut and everyone comments on the awesomeness of the cut. I will also go get my hair cut here. My daughter's hair tangles easily, even with conditioner, but not with the universal wash Jeanine used. So, I purchased the washes Jeanine used on my daughter, and went home to try them out on my own hair. I was not disappointed! My hair is so soft and manageable! Thanks, Jeanine! I really love this Babylon village shop. I love how versatile her products are, I can use a single product on my hair, face or body. The cleanliness and benefits of the ingredients in each bottle. Everything is bottled in glass and no single use plastic being wasted and I can go to refill anything I run out of. My favorite products so far: Minx Lash Serum- castor oil based and amazing for growth production for my lashes and brows Key Lime Conditioner- the smell alone sold me, I primarily use as a daily morning face cleanser to brighten & freshen me up Neroli Sunrise Wash- My choice for a summertime lightweight lathering face cleanser that I also use as a body wash. Wonderful store, smells so good as soon as you walk in the door! LOVING their laundry soap!!! Give it a try! My children had very bad eczema and my pediatrician recommended All Free and Clear detergent. It helped but my son's asthma started to get worse and I wanted cleaner products. I considered making my own laundry detergent when my mom who uses and loves their shampoo told me O Beehave had a laundry bar! It's a soap bar that you squeeze into water, so simple. I no longer have gunky detergent drippings on my shelf and my clothes are not only coming out clean but also softer. It's such a diluted soap that it is able to get through the fabric and not build up in your machine. I'm hooked! No more gunky detergent in big plastic jugs for us! I first tried to break off a little at a time and dilute in a small mason jar and I ended up mis-measuring and not getting a full gallon. I would recommend making the whole bar at once or strictly following the measuring guides on the card it comes with so you get the full gallon. And you only need 1 Tablespoon for a regular load, it goes a long way! read more

This place is amazing! I've never seen a product line so thoroughly researched to be organic, effective and as close to zero carbon footprint as can get.
