We attempted to come during the black bear and berry jam festival. It was honestly not what I thought it would be. There was three vendors... and all the bounces outside cost money. It definitely was a cool experience going on the sky tram but not sure it would be something worth doing regularly.

We did the adventure pass and it was worth it!

Our family reunion group of 23 had the best time here. There was something for everyone to do! My 80 year old dad even rode the mountain coaster! We did the adventure pass and it was worth it!

We waited forever to go snowboarding on Ober Mountain because of how "awesome" it is. We spoke to many people before buying the tickets in advance per them "buy now because it will sell out". We asked about the snow conditions because we wanted the mountain not the kiddie slopes and were responded with "there is already snow on the mountain and we have blowers that will keep it filled". We purchased tickets on the faith of what we were told just to get there and there be no snow. 2 kiddie slopes and ice pretty much everywhere. The blowers didn't even turn on until after 2pm which I'm sure is set for certain conditions but after spending $500 for a day of snowboarding it was a disgrace and total waste of money. I didn't even stay on the slopes it was that bad. Then the lines to the lift is so unorganized that everyone was jumping to the front and the honest ones were having to wait twice the amount of time. My kid that has been before said this is the worst mountain we have gone to by far and he doesn't want to ever come back. (I told him the actual mountain wasn't open so it wasn't a fair assessment). Other kid that never has been said that he doesn't understand why we even like snowboarding because this was miserable with everyone at the same curve falling and staying. The patrol were just skiing and not helping people. Multiple times I would stop and help beginners that had fallen just so they could get out of the main path. Never once saw the patrol help a single person and there were a lot of chances. To be clear the 2 stars is not because the lack of snow (this is uncontrollable) it is for the lack of information given when we called or what I believe to be lies just to purchase a non refundable ticket.

The gondola ride is nice but overpriced, especially since one has to pay to park as well. It is not very long either. There is little free to do up top, which makes the price sting even more. The most entertaining thing we saw up there was many determined little kids trying to ring the bell on the rock wall.

The park is fun for all ages, from rock climbing to Zip Lining. The operators of each ride were very helpful and patient with us. My only drawback would be the mountain coaster. It stalled on us and we had to wait for maintenance to see what the problem was.

The Cloud Catcher Zipline was AWESOME! Justin, Lawrence, Blue and Mike were simply amazing! This was on my bucket list and these guys made it EPIC! Safety was paramount, but fun was constant! Would absolutely recommend 100%!!!!!!

Ober Mountain is good for what it is, but I wouldn't call it mind-blowing. Still, I'd recommend it, especially for families looking for winter activities. Our family of six had a fun day overall. If you go, make sure to buy the wristband online and book tubing/skiing reservations well in advance. If you're visiting around Christmas, plan your activities no later than 11 a.m. because the aerial tram lines get ridiculously long, wrapping around the building later in the day. Also, skip driving up the mountain--parking fills up quickly, and you'll likely have to turn back. Instead, park in Gatlinburg and take the tram up, and give yourself at least 2 hours to reach the top. We visited on Christmas Day and had pre-booked tubing, which was a lifesaver since it was sold out. Skiing was the same--it was booked out until late February by the time we arrived. The snow area is perfect for little ones, and tubing was a hit with the whole family. Overall, it's a solid option for some winter fun if you're visiting the Gatlinburg area!

If you are geared to find family friendly fun Ober Mountain is your place. They offer $49 wristbands that include a variety of activities which includes the aerial tram, snow tubing, rock climbing, mountain coaster, ice skating, corn hole, bumper boats, nature preserve and so much more! Lines can get long. Arrive early. There is also a $10 parking fee. It has a gift shop and cafe as well.

The Wildlife Habitat is sick. I understand the animals are rescues and cannot care for themselves in the wild, but the pits in the ground they had these babies in were so small and solid rock. The one bear in the video proceeded to circle his cage in the same path for hours. The "Nocturnal Den" was even sadder. They had 3 large turtles in one 40 gallon tank. The tank wasn't big enough for one of the turtles. Someone needs to help these animals ASAP!

Ober Mountain in March? Chef's kiss. The perfect balance of crisp mountain air, just enough people to feel lively, but none of the overwhelming winter chaos. While I can only imagine this place is packed during peak snow season, our visit was a smooth ride--except, of course, when we were falling on the ice skating rink. Torturous fun, but the kind that brings the family together. The snow tubing? WORTH IT. An extra $20 per person stung a bit, but once we were flying down the slopes, all was forgiven. The mountain coaster, on the other hand? Let's just say patience was a virtue we didn't know we needed. The line was already long when we joined, and when we reached a sign that said, "60 minutes from this point," we knew we were in it for the long haul. We made it, but whew, brace yourself. The tram, though? 10/10 experience. The employees running it were full of energy, good vibes, and that classic Tennessee charm that makes you feel right at home. Overall, Ober Mountain was a blast--fun, scenic, and definitely a spot worth checking off your bucket list. Would I come back? Absolutely. Just maybe not on a peak weekend! Both experiences were a little pricey, but honestly, when you're in the heart of the Smokies, that's the name of the game. Go, have fun, make the memories, and don't look back!

I was disappointed we weren't informed of this before purchasing. Our dinner at Clifftop restaurant was sub-par. I'm leaving this review at 4 stars since I know many people rave about the sky walk (we weren't able to see this so I'm unsure) and the kids play area was super fun. My kids could have played for hours. It's multiple levels and really large. I felt that staff could have been more present in the children's area though. They were just hanging out and talking and not helping to keep the slide area safe. While we were there a parent lost her child and no staff was present anywhere. That was discouraging. It's beautiful here. So many beautiful views. Entertainment, and lots of nice places to sit and relax. We even had a chance to see a black bear.

The scenery is spectacular. The light show? Flat-out phenomenal. If this review were based on the views alone, we'd already be talking five stars. Then we tried to eat. Happy hour started at Cliff Top with two Palomas and an order of fried green tomatoes. Twenty minutes later, the food runner proudly delivered...fried pickles. Wrong order. Back they went. A kitchen employee returned to tell the bartender they were out of green tomatoes and assured us the pickles were good. I'm sure they were, but I didn't order them. We settled on the pimento cheese spread instead. To their credit, they added extra vegetables and toast without any fuss. It wasn't great, but it was a fair recovery. A couple of hours later, hunger got the better of us, so we wandered over to the BBQ joint. They had Duke's, so hope sprang eternal. I ordered pulled pork. Out. Switched to brisket. Also out. That left the ribs, which tasted like they'd been rushed through the smoker and reheated before landing on the plate. The baked beans, however, deserved a standing ovation. They were the undisputed MVP of the meal. The biggest head-scratcher? Waiting nearly twenty minutes for two draft lagers from the bar. Son, in the South, making a man wait that long for a cold beer borders on a misdemeanor. As we were leaving, the bride ducked into the restroom and discovered that five of the six stalls were out of toilet paper. Come on, folks. After dropping nearly two hundred dollars, I shouldn't have to wonder if I needed to pack my own roll like it was the height of the COVID shortage. Here's the thing: Anakeesta is absolutely worth visiting. The mountaintop views, attractions, and nighttime light show are first class. But the food and beverage operation feels like it's trying to keep up with the crowds instead of getting ahead of them. A little more attention to inventory, service, and the basics would go a long way. Go for the mountain. Stay for the lights. Just don't arrive hungry...and maybe throw a travel-size roll of toilet paper in your backpack

A warning to folks who get vertigo, the bridge is high and in the middle, it's glass bottomed. My friend and I had some time to kill before the rest of our group arrived, so we decided to book a ghost tour at 8:30 PM. Booking was pretty easy and quick via a third party site - the site did mention that we would be notified if the tour was cancelled due to not enough seats being booked. We booked the tickets around 4 PM that day, but didn't receive any notification that the tour had been canceled, so we headed towards the meet up spot around 8:00 PM. The instructions said to meet by 8:15 PM at the Dolly Parton statue near the courthouse to avoid any issues with traffic/parking. My friend and I arrived at 8:10 PM but no one else was around aside from a couple of tourists taking pictures of the statue. 8:15 PM rolled around and the tour guide was nowhere in sight.. We still did not receive any communication about the tour being canceled (we even received a couple of text messages reminding us of the upcoming tour time) so we decided to wait until 8:30 PM to see if maybe the tour guide was running a little late. 8:30 PM rolls around and the tour guide never arrived. We tried calling the phone number on their website but the number is disconnected. Their email address also does not work and was undelivered, so there's no way to contact this company. With plenty of children around me clearly enjoy enjoying every second while in this aquarium, it's also clear that the adults and parents had something they could enjoy as well! The amount of species were really impressive! I certainly walked away learning a lot about the limitless life in our oceans- from favorite species like clown fish to unique/ "not so frequently seen" species like cool sea dragons that resemble floating kelp. We were able to see the entirety of the aquarium in about two hours, and the layout of the aquarium is great with a clear path to make it all the way through. Honorable mention to the awesome saw sharks. I actually don't know if that's their actual name, but there're nose kind of resembles a saw and they are so cool during the automated walkway through the tunnel of sharks and fish. It was so bizarre to just look up and see huge sharks right above me!! I was also really impressed with the amount of space these animals have. I know that zoos and aquariums can get a bad rep, but these animals really do seem very taken care of and happy in a simulated natural environment. I like how they included the water treatment room as a part that people can see because obviously these animals require very strict water treatment plans in order to keep them thriving. The penguin station was also one of our favorites!!! It was so cool to be able to crawl through a tube "into" their enclosure in a dome like clear glass and be surrounded by penguins!!! You can read the names on their flipper bands to tell them apart, and you can really get up close to see the differences in their beaks or features. I thought that was so cool. I liked the amount of cool snacks and beverages available too! I got a frozen peach lemonade that was so yummy. We were here during off peak time, but it was still very busy. We hopped onto a slow-moving convey like a lazy river at a Vegas hotel, for people who don't want to walk. Honestly, I wish the entire building worked this way. Zero chaos. Zero pushing. Just vibes and sharks gliding over your head like "Come on in the waters fine" The stingrays were another highlight--majestic, chill, and many different sizes. Crowds aside,(but not really) those two moments made the visit worth it. If you go, bring patience, comfortable shoes, and maybe a bullhorn to get people's attention.
