Oberer's offers flower arranging classes at their beautiful new location. A friend and I took the class yesterday and it was about $23 each for a half hour of instruction and the opportunity to create and take our own arrangement. The teacher was great and it smelled amazing in the floral studio. At the end of class they raffled off two other arrangements and I won one to give as a surprise to my sister. I ordered 70 white tulips and 10 red tulips on February 22. I confirmed on Saturday, February 26 that the order would be ready for pick up on Sunday, February 27. I arrived at 9:00 am, Sunday, February 27 to pick up my order. As soon as I saw them, I asked if they were white, because they looked purple. The associate agreed. They were purple instead of white. The supervisor, I believe, confirmed the order was not correct. She remembered me since she took my order. The supervisor immediately called the main office in Dayton, Ohio. After a few minutes, she called back and spoke to the owner. The owner said the soonest they could get them to the Easton store was 1:00 pm Monday, February 28. I told her that I understood the mixup and I would pick up the correct order Monday. I then said well, I need to get something in place of the order. I chose an arrangement and asked the price. I was then told there would be no charge! It was the least they could do. I was shocked. The arrangement was gorgeous! And no charge! I took the arrangement and left for lunch. On the was to lunch, I received a call from Oberer's saying that the owner had my original order especially driven from Dayton to Columbus and I could pick it up. Shocked again! They were open until 3:00 pm. I arrived at approximately 2:45 pm. My order was waiting on me. It was gorgeous! Oberer's came through again and went the extra mile. I will continue to shop Oberer's and recommend them. Their customer service is over the top! If you have not shopped Oberer's. Do it NOW! Thanks to everyone involved in getting my order to me. I used to be a regular, loyal customer of Oberer's but the past few orders have forced me to write them off my flower delivery list. The pictures speak for themselves. The holiday arrangement I purchased on 12/24 was totally limp and looked terrible on 12/25. I had to put it away when my guests came. I watered as soon as they arrived and kept trying. The bigger arrangement lasted a whopping 3 days. Again the hydrangea became limp and ugly. I contacted Oberer's and was offered a 50% refund to my card or 100% store credit. Second time we've used Oberer's flowers and I'm still impressed! The house plant with 3 varieties of plants has held up beautifully and is thriving! The Gerber daisy arrangement is so cheerful and it came in a fun, square glass vase we can use again. They have instructions on their website as well for the care of the plants which is very helpful. Not sure how I haven't reviewed this already; thought I had. We've used them several times over the years. I think we even got our wedding flowers from them. In fact I'm sure of it, and remember other visits, so I must have reviewed it. Harumph. Anyway, they did great with our wedding flowers, and on other visits they've been super friendly and helpful, including taking us in back (off to the side, if I remember correctly) to look at options, and being sweet to Baby K. This time I had flowers delivered for our anniversary, and they sent an arrangement that looked even better than the picture on their website, in a heavy pot that hopefully our cat can't knock off the counter. They followed our delivery instructions perfectly, and read the sign on our door that said not to ring the bell (late nights, dogs, toddler, we need some sleep.) All at a reasonable price. Buy local, get good stuff and good service and good prices. Win win. read more

Oberer's customer service was absolutely amazing!!! I had given the wrong address of the person I sent an arrangement to and the flowers were delivered to that wrong address. I contacted Oberer's late that night and left a message regarding my mistake. The Customer Service Representative called me early the next morning and re-delivered another arrangement to the correct address without asking for new payment or delivery fee. Amazing! Placed order on 4/27 for prom corsage & boutonnière at N. Hamilton location. Daughter went to pick it up on 5/6 & was handed a box with ribbon & wristband NO FLOWERS. They didn't make her order!! She waited another 45 minutes for them to finally make her order. Pulled the corsage out of the box for prom pics & one of the 3 mini roses fell off & another hanging on for dear life. TERRIBLE service and TERRIBLE quality. $33 for a tiny corsage that fell and apart before she got to even put it on. I won't recommend Oberer's to anyone! read more

Sigh...we've been customers for over 10 years after I received a lovely arrangement from them from a friend. They always had good prices and pretty flowers. Their prices used to be so good on the sampler roses ($20 for the longest time) that I would occasionally treat myself to some without guilt. The past three years, the quality of the flowers have tanked. The past two birthdays I have received flowers that either died (hydrangeas NEVER last more than a day regardless of the arrangements and whether I'm giving or receiving) and today's was sitting in gross, murky water I was able to see thanks to the clear vase. My husband said the arrangement looked way smaller than shown on the website for what I supposed to get. Given what he paid (almost $60), I have to say that this is the last time we'll be using them and I'll be starting my search for a new florist. :-( Now I am worried about the other arrangement we had sent to someone else today. read more

UPDATE 10.09.2019 - Still a myriad of delays. I've had to go out of my way to provide proof to them of a closed account. Their accounting ways are antiquated and creates hassles for customers. UPDATE 10.07.2019 - This has been an absolute nightmare. I advised that the original account I paid with I had closed and that funds could not be credited back to that account. Regional Manager, Andrew Miller - who by the way is a puppet for the company - said their protocol is to credit it back to the original account even if closed. I advised multiple times not to credit it back to this account as it would create delays. Nobody seems to listen. I keep getting the same responses such as: "I don't know who I can get that information from as you what card was credited." "This is our process." "This is on the bank's end." All of which are bs excuses. I cannot stress enough to NOT use Oberers's for your floral needs, especially weddings. You will regret it if you do! UPDATE 10.03.2019 - speaking with the Regional Manager at this point. They will refund $690 plus the delivery fee of $150. For a total of $840. However, if I was this business I would have refunded the entire amount due to continual ball drops; not to mention the lack of being able to photograph the flowers due to the quality. I still do not recommend. If I had to do all over again I would have went with Uptowne Florists - I recommend them! I hired Oberer's for my wedding a year in advance. I was confident that my vision was understood. We discussed the floral vision in depth and I gave Nadja (Wedding Coordinator) photos of what each floral piece should look like. She was fully aware of the vision. What was received was anything but! I had decided on a floral crown rather than a veil. Floral crown was hastily put together - noticeable glue was stuck to the flowers. The anemones fell off, flowers broken. Unable to be worn and was nothing near what the crown itself was supposed to look like. Centerpieces - colors did not match. When speaking with the wedding coordinator, I was advised that the pink shade she picked out would be close to the dusty rose shade that would match our wedding colors. Not the case. Flowers were baby pink. Floral Cage for Arch was not a cage at all. Did not match what was shown to the wedding coordinator. Guard petals not removed from the arch and arch flowers looked wilted. Husband's boutonnière was majorly disappointing, anemone was brown and wilted. Vase of flowers for a memorial table was supposed to be small and in a bubble and was not. The flower arrangement would not fit on memorial ladder. Eucalyptus that was given to us for centerpieces had many of the stems broken. All flowers agreed upon were not necessarily what was received. It appears that the order was not treated with care but instead was hastily put together due to being short staffed. When I called in the day of the wedding about my floral crown, employee - Emily's response was "okay". It was certainly not okay. My wedding vision was not attained. It was brushed off. I asked for a call back. No call received. I called in after the wedding on Monday and spoke with Manager, Connie. She apologized. I told her about Emily's response and she said that did not surprise her. She also said she had a stack of issues on her desk - including late wedding deliveries. I was flabbergasted. We talked about what could be done monetarily done. She said she would speak to the owner. He advised he would refund $300. We spent $1700. Flowers were ruined! I would not recommend them to anyone! I was planning my mothers funeral. The florist contracted with the funeral home was Oberer's. I have used them for years and have always been satisfied with the quality of their products & it was comforting to know they were the contracted florist. Upon the private viewing of my mother the morning before the funeral. This was basically a staging with the selected flowers purchased displayed with the body. I immediately noticed that the flowers were not fresh and requested they be replaced. Also I requested white pedestals as shown in their catalog to mount the large vases on either side of the coffin. The pedestals the displayed were brown & antique. The flowers were replaced and were just as bad as the first selection. I was in disbelief that Oberer's failed twice and refused to use them. My friend made contact with another Funeral Director who recommended Battiste LaFleur Galleria. They immediately made contact with me and assured me that they would deliver a quality product first thing in the morning at my church where the funeral would be held. When I walked into the church, a breathtaking display of amazingly beautiful flowers complimented my mother for her home going celebration. My gratitude is beyond words as no one should have to suffer through such an experience while grieving. I personally went in to thank the staff at Battiste LaFleur Galleria the next day and was literally embraced by one of the owners as I shared my experience. I highly recommend them for all floral purchase because they are passionate about their work, enjoy what they do, and have superior products & design skills. Also I made a recommendation to the Funeral Director/co-owner (Mrs. Caliman), that they change florist since this is also a representation of their company...Mrs. Caliman also agree that the product was inferior in substance and design. In fact Caliman's should have quality control measures in place where if an inferior product arrives at their facility, it is rejected before the family has the opportunity for viewing. read more

I have given and received flowers from Oberer's and every time the quality and size have been wonderful. One bouquet I received lasted 4 weeks, it was crazy how well it held up. In terms of sending flowers, their website is pretty easy to use and they offer a very affordable delivery fee for the Columbus area without crazy rush fees (I believe $12.95). I placed an order at 9am on a Friday and it was delivered same day at noon to campus area. So fast! All in all, I have had a great experience with them so some of the not so happy reviews are surprising. read more

I couldn't be more disappointed in this experience. I ordered flowers for an 8 year old on her birthday. Her dad used to send them and he passed away last year, so this was a really big deal. It was a Saturday delivery and I received an email confirmation that they were delivered ay 11:04a and texted her mom to confirm. They received NOTHING. I called the 800 number on the confirmation and held for 10 minutes only to get a message saying they were closed. I called the "local" number only to get routed back to the 800 number even though according to the hours posted on the internet they're open. I have no idea where my order went and there is no customer service available to assist. We received a stunning arrangement from Oberer's on Saturday. We both were overwhelmed with how beautiful it was. It was packed with so many different flowers. The colors and composition were just beautiful. We immediately contacted the sender to tell him how pretty they were. On Sunday I noticed that a couple of the hydrangeas were droopy and by Monday morning they looked bad. I called Oberer's just to let them know. I know some flowers last longer than others. The lady spoke with was very nice and she apologized and right away insisted that they replace the arrangement. The beautiful replacement arrived within a few hours.
