I advised that the store manager said that he would resize them for us upon our return she was very quick to advise that he was on vacation for a week and we needed to come back to resolve the discrepancy and she wasn't able to help us. I was feeling extremely frustrated as i followed the instructions given by the store manager. Luckily for me I saw a familiar face from when I bought my wife's ring. Matthew. At that point he was a compete Godsend. He asked why I didn't look happy and I told him what the situation was. He laughed and said we didn't need to wait for David and he would send our rings out AND process our return which his co worker couldn't do. Complete relief! Our rings were sent out and today (Jan 16) we got them back a week ahead of schedule! I would recommend getting the warranty on any jewelry store but at Michael Hill they provide a bit of a special touch not only do they offer lifetime warranty at a reasonable price BUT if u want to upgrade your ring or earrings you can bring it in USED and they will give you the full value of what you paid for the piece originally ...no other jewelry business offers that! Their customer service refused to do anything as it was more than 30 days since I bought it. They said I should have bought the warranty (whoch EXCLUDES MISSING STONES BY THE WAY) and suggested I take it back to this location to see if they could repair it at my expense. So, they do NOT stand behind their product, hide bhind their 30 day return poilcy and offer absolutly no ccountability for poorly made merchandise sold in their online store. I walked around window shopping for a bit and then plunked myself down in front of Pandora to eagerly await the arrival of the Pandora employee (visualize: puppy waiting at the front door for it's master to come home). Knowing how busy Pandora stores can get during the day, this was probably the most ideal time to come! I was the only customer in the store (granted, that lasted only seconds!) and I was in and out in no time with a new bracelet and charm! This time, I opted for the smooth leather (triple wrap) bracelet in black. The coloured smooth leather bracelets seem to have almost a metallic finish to them and the brown leather one doesn't look like it was 'finished' at all. It's strange... and it isn't a one-off, I've seen it at other stores too... the brown leather one is just shoddy looking. Anyways, the first time I walked into the store, Alex greeted me with a friendly hello and ask what I can be helped with. After explaining my situation, he gave me an honest recommendation saying he will gladly do the cleaning, BUT he does not recommend it due to moisture going into the watch. Afterwards, I came back the second time and did the repair regardless of the moisture. I gave my watch to him, and after 3-4 days, I came back to pick it up. He returned the watch in absolute pristine condition. Better than the day I purchased it. Pros: - Alex is very knowledgeable regarding watches and clocks - also, provided me with professional advice and recommendations - very professional regarding repairs - Authorized dealer for many brands Cons: - He charges I believe $8 for a battery change. Seems a bit more then some other watch repair stores, but it certainly is not expensive. Other than that, there isn't really any cons. Conclusion: I recommend it.
