I recently bought a 2022 Tesla Model Y from this dealership and overall I'm really happy with the experience. Fiona was the one who helped me--she was friendly, straightforward, and made the process smooth. Definitely ask for her if you go. One big plus is that they're IRS-registered for the $4,000 used EV rebate, so the rebate process is applied directly at purchase instead of waiting until tax season. That made things much easier and gave me peace of mind. I shopped around a few areas, reached out to a ton, including California Beemers Teslers. They have nice cars but they wanted to charge an additional non-negotiable $3499.00 + tax and license fees, basically taking the rebate, so it didn't make sense for me. With OC Chief Auto, after purchase, they stood by their word and swapped out the worn tires on my car for new ones at no cost. They also mentioned they would help out if I had any issues getting the fog lights repaired under Tesla's warranty--they believe it will be covered, but if not, they said they'd step in. I'll update this review in a few weeks once I've gone through that process and had more time with the car to share how it all turns out. Like with most busy dealerships, calling ahead isn't the best strategy since they don't always pick up (they sell out quickly and are often helping customers in person). My suggestion is to go in person. When you do, they can give you the most up-to-date list of what's available and even let you know about upcoming shipments, since the online inventory isn't always current (though it's a good reference for what they usually carry). So far, the car has been in great condition, runs smoothly, and I feel good about the deal I got. If you're shopping for a used Tesla, I'd recommend checking this place out and asking for Fiona.

I wish I could leave a positive review, but I need to protect future customers. I actually liked the sales staff, and they even asked me to leave a great review to counter the bad ones. I really wanted to. As someone connected to many small businesses, I know how unfair reviews can be -- but in this case, this review is well deserved. OC Chief Auto advertises the $4,000 Used EV Tax Credit prominently on their website. That was a major reason I visited their lot. Throughout the process, the sales rep emphasized how great of a deal it was because the car I was buying "qualified" for the credit. The contract listed the vehicle at $24,999 -- just under the $25,000 federal limit. But buried in the paperwork was a $500 "accessory fee." I specifically asked about it and was told it was structured that way to help me "qualify" for the credit. Fast forward to tax season: My EV credit was denied because the dealership never filed the required IRS Energy Credits Online (ECO) time-of-sale report. I spent days calling, being put on hold, transferred, and disconnected -- never receiving help or a resolution. When I dug deeper, I discovered the truth: that $500 fee pushed the "sale price" to $25,499, which disqualified the car entirely under IRS rules. So not only did I pay an extra $500 in junk fees for nothing, but I also lost out on a $4,000 federal benefit I was repeatedly told I would get. When I reached out to management, there was no accountability, no apology, and no attempt to make it right -- only silence and avoidance. This kind of behavior does not elicit good business. I'm glad the sales rep got a few more dollars for their commission, though. Unbelievable. This experience was misleading and financially harmful. Future customers should know: just because a car is advertised at $24,999 does not mean they're going to sell it to you at that price. Pay very close attention to the fees added to your contract, and don't rely on verbal assurances. I trusted OC Chief Auto at their word, and I was left with nothing but frustration, wasted time, and thousands of dollars lost. Do not trust these guys. If you make a purchase here, do not let them speed you through anything. Completely protect yourself and your decision.

Amazing dealer and staff. I bought my model Y about a month ago. Nick assisted me during the process. From beginning to end he was extremely helpful. His staff is very welcoming and treated my little ones fantastic. No pressure in buying, they let you roam around without harassing you. My model Y came with a few things that needed to be fixed and Nick came through and got them fixed right away. This is absolute the best used Tesla dealer in SoCal. Nick and staff thank you very much for treating my family and I with great care.

These are active advertisements for vehicles that the dealership does not appear to have available for sale, nor do they have any recollecti

They advertise vehicles at very low prices to attract calls, then attempt to steer customers toward similar vehicles at higher prices. I spoke with Joseph at the dealership regarding two specific cars they are actively marketing on Cars.com, and he had no recollection of either vehicle. Instead, he immediately tried to redirect me to other, more expensive options. One instance could be a misunderstanding, but when it happens with two separate listings, it suggests a concerning pattern of misleading sales practices.

    My message with owner

I bought a car from this dealer 3 months ago. It was not smooth but I really wanted and needed the car. Their inventory is never up to date and they are bad with communication. Not sure if they are just under staff. Anyway, I submitted a credit app to buy again. This time I contacted Nick the owner directly. Long story short it has been 8 days and no answer. Considering I bought before this is a really bad experience. I'm going to buy somewhere else.

I was nervous as I arrived alone and every past experience with dealerships has been abrupt & rude and had felt like I got had at some level. The day before, I had consulted with Carmax who offered $1,900 less than the online Kelley Blue Book offer. The week before that, a friend offered to help me sell my Jeep but he tried to get me to sign my title without a date saying that's what all sellers do in advance of selling cars. (Never sign the title until the money has been surrendered to you and the buyer is standing in front of you. I felt betrayed and disappointed by the so-called "friend". I had already contacted a shop owner & friends who only purchase Jeeps. They all wanted to buy my Jeep but times are tough lately & no one was liquid to purchase. I'm telling you all this to let you know how discouraged and roughed up I was feeling by the time I arranged my appoint my for Phillips Auto to see my Jeep. I am spreading the word now that your experience with Phillips will also feel great. You will be greeted in a friendly, professional casual manner. I finally met the affable Andreas (who had been communicating with me about my Jeep I was thinking of selling) and the impressive Bianca who feels like a friend from the start. She is in charge and you feel comfortable and charmed and informed. Both are kind and efficient while appraising my vehicle. Bianca's experienced eye and candor helps the checklist go fast. Their offer price was transparent and fair; very close to my Kelley Blue Book estimate. Bianca is prepared and lets you k is what she is thinking & openly helps you along with understanding the process. I chose to finalize selling my Jeep to Phillips because they gave me a fair offer and did not waste my time. Also, there was no pressure; they gave me the time I needed to call a couple friends' approval to hear their thumb's up. I got free water & a peaceful environment despite other customers & representatives doing business. The showroom is busy but not loud or bustly. Yes, I could have gone privately to sell my Jeep. But I had to get real with myself; I have never sold a vehicle privately before & my Jeep was older & would need time & investment of staging it well to sell it in my own. I did not have the knowledge to do all the trudge work necessary & not the time to meet & haggle with prospective buyers when Phillips has the staff & equipment to pass the Wrangler along to someone who would be just as happy with it as I have been driving it. The paperwork was quick. Phillips will do everything needed. All I did was sign & cancel my car insurance--and that process was not as nice as selling the car, wouldn't you know?! (I certainly felt taken advantage of by my car insurance later that day. That is a different and not as cheerful of a Yelp review & I have been with the same insurance company for 40 years.) Phillips treated me better on our first transaction than my long term insurance agent. Phillips Auto even provided me a complimentary Uber ride home. The wonderful element about Phillips is integrity & decency at this family-owned dealership. My car insurance franchise is also family-owned. Mind boggling with how wonderful I regard Phillips Auto. I'm going to keep referring all whom I care about to do business with Phillips Auto. Bianca is stellar. Please tell her you read this review. She is great people!!

Very disappointing experience -- especially after having a great experience here in 2023…read more I originally leased my 2023 Toyota from this dealership and had a great experience, which is why I was so disappointed by what happened when I recently came back to discuss my end-of-lease options. I was shown a vehicle they had in stock and simply said I didn't like the color and asked if they had one in white or black. The manager came over and repeatedly acted as though my preference about the color was ridiculous. At one point, he literally wrote "COLOR BLIND" on a piece of paper. He also repeatedly brought up my credit score and made it clear that he believed I wouldn't be able to get a better deal anywhere else because I was already with Toyota Financial. I told him multiple times that I was not ready to trade in my vehicle that day and wanted to take some time to figure out my options. Rather than respecting that, he continued pressing me with, "Well, what do you need to figure out?" He then told me that if I didn't take the car that day, I would eventually end up without a car and would have to Uber to work. I was also told that my lease buyout was about $4,000 higher than the amount stated in my lease agreement because of a "certification." That didn't sound right to me, so I decided to step back, review my actual lease paperwork, and get an independent opinion before agreeing to anything. I left feeling pressured, belittled, and honestly pretty shocked by the way I had been spoken to. Then comes the part that really says it all: the very next day, I received a voicemail from the dealership saying they were suddenly able to get the color I had originally asked for. So after being told they didn't have the color I wanted and being pressured to take what was available that day, suddenly the color I wanted could be found. I completely understand that dealerships are businesses and that negotiating is part of buying a car. What I don't appreciate is being pressured, having my credit score repeatedly used against me, being told I would essentially be stranded without a car if I didn't make a decision immediately, and being made to feel ridiculous for having a simple preference about the vehicle I was considering. I had a genuinely positive experience with this dealership in 2023. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my opinion. I would strongly recommend anyone considering doing business here to know the terms of their lease, get the buyout numbers in writing, and don't let anyone pressure you into making a decision on the spot.

I ignored other reviews and purchased my dream car from OC Autosource...a Bentley Continental GT Speed "Limited Le Mans Edition" (#7 of 48) coupe. Though the car had been in his hands for weeks, he apparently never bothered to have a mechanic look at it. I paid for a PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) after buying it (my bad, don't make this mistake) and learned the truth about the car. The front grills had sustained damage, breaking off the tabs that hold them in place and subsequently been GLUED back on. The front left wheel had a crack in it which caused the tire to steadily lose air pressure, ultimately triggering an alert on the car's dash. This alert effectively froze the computer, making it impossible to use the navigation, listen to music or do anything else. I returned to the tire shop 3 times for refills, seven days later the alarm was triggered again, On my third visit they discovered the crack in the wheel. The exhaust system was loosely hanging on...missing brackets that secure it and prevent it from hanging low. The car has a 20 speaker, $7500.00 sound system but the blown speaker in the dash made it painful to use...like nails on a chalkboard. When I provided Tony proof of these flaws, he assured me he would make good on the repairs and "..do the right thing" and I believed him. I had everything fixed at a cost of $2637.79 (parts & labor) and now enjoy driving the car. Weeks passed and Tony never contacted me until I posted a review and filed a BBB complaint. 24hrs after posting my initial review & filing a BBB complaint, I got reimbursed the total amt for the aforementioned repairs. But because Tony asked me to "...remove all the negative you put out there" I feel this was mere damage control rather than his desire to do the right thing because I received more messages from him within 24hrs of posting my review than I received in the preceding 4 months.. I promised him an honest review on my first visit to OC Autosouce & that's what this is. I always keep my word. If you intend to purchase a car from OC Autosource, I suggest you demand a PPI be conducted before you buy.
