We're new home owners and we got our house only to find out our fireplace wasn't working. Luke came out and removed the difficult to use "electronic ignition pilot system" so we can just use the natural gas line. Later that day, we started smelling gas throughout the second floor. He offered to come out again free of charge to check on it for us. Turns out the valve for the fireplace is faulty and we have to get it replaced and the seller must have just put the electronic ignition pilot system on as a "bandaid" fix to stop the leaking (sketch). Luke helped us identify the leak and really went above and beyond to help us out as new home owners (steps to take, referral to a plumber, etc). We'll definitely be back if we need any fireplace help in the future and would refer him out to anyone that needs him!

I finally managed to get someone on the phone, and they apologized, admitted that the fireplace had not shipped, and told me it should ship the following week. I explained that this delay was causing me additional costs because I had contractors scheduled to install it, and now I would have to pay to have them come back out. They told me they would discuss what they could do to help offset those additional costs and would get back to me. Of course, they never called me back. And now they are once again avoiding my calls. I completely understand that delays happen, but what is unacceptable is advertising 2-5 business day shipping, confirming an item is in stock before purchase, failing to ship it for three weeks, and then refusing to communicate with the customer. I called Jesse Moreno on Tuesday, he gave me a quote for a dryer vent cleaning over the phone and came in person to do the job that same Thursday. My dryer vent is odd and goes up through a wall in the center of the house and exits on the roof on the 2nd floor (thanks new home builder). I also asked him to inspect the full length of my vent tube, since houses in my area were known for rushed shoddy construction and part of the vent tube had come apart some years back (but was repaired by some AC guys I hired a few yrs ago). Jesse showed up 15min early and got the entire job done within about 35min, including a full cleaning of the vent tube from the roof all the way down to my dryer without having to move anything, take anything apart, and he spent a minimum of time inside my house. At my request, he also ran a camera down the tube to ensure there were no unrepaired breaks or leaks and everything was intact and working the way it was supposed to. At the end of the job he provided me with the video which showed my vent tube was sparkly clean, and he ended up charging me exactly what he quoted over the phone and not a penny more. Yes this job can be DIY if you have the right tools. But Jesse was so fast and clean and did the job so effortlessly, I feel like I will keep his number and call him every so often and save myself the time and effort. Their repairs were also expensive. For example- they wanted $300+ to put some high heat mortar on the back side of my fireplace opening. This actually needed to be done but it was a tiny job. When I said I'd do it myself the vendor implied I was incapable without knowing I do small jobs like that all the time. I ended up doing the job myself for about $10 in materials and 30 mins of my time. -they told me my chimney needed a deep cleaning. Yet, unknown to them the chimney had been cleaned the week before.
