At the time we first came across Julie, my then 14-year-old brother had been interested in learning piano. I had reached to several music teachers in the area, and while most of them followed up with me, Julie was the one person who genuinely came across as her most authentic self when she said I could call her with any questions I had, which I did. She patiently addressed all my questions over the phone and made herself available for my parents (whom are native Spanish speakers but can get by with some conversational English) and my brother to check out her studio and answer their questions. It was the best decision we ever made. My brother is now 17-years-old and closing up his final year with Julie as he prepares to graduate from high school. Over the last 3 and a half years, Julie has helped my brother gain inspiration and confidence in himself. He was diagnosed with Autism at a young age but is high-functioning and asks a TON of questions, all of which Julie patiently answers for him. My brother really dedicates a great deal of time in mastering the piano and Julie is always more than happy to provide challenging pieces for him to work on. My family and I really enjoy working with her and she has always made herself available when we had to submit letters of recommendation for music scholarships and she truly cares about her students.

They didn't always start promptly and they were usually in tiny, hot rooms big enough for one small folding chair (plus instrument and standing student with teacher). We tried it out for a couple months and it was not for us. When canceling, they assured me it would be okay, but of course they continued to charge us the following months. I called, and again no return messages. I called again, spoke to someone and they said James would call me back, but not a word since two weeks ago. His private teacher Cameron is just awesome, and has provided our son with consistent, encouraging feedback. He's made our son comfortable in a way I didn't expect from this place.
