Very patient with kids ! The instructor finds different ways to teach to make it simple to learn and small rewards that makes kiddos happy.

This review is for the pre-ballet teacher, who teaches kids from three to five years old. My daughter, who is almost five, goes here for four lessons total. She has no prior ballet lesson before this. At the end of the fourth lesson, she kept my child back behind a closed door to "talk" to her about her behaviors. I felt very uncomfortable about this already, but I waited outside just to be respectful to her. After a few minutes, she opened the door and asked to talk to me about how my daughter did not follow her instructions and kept touching the mirrors. I told her that this was the fourth lesson, and my daughter went from not knowing a single ballet move and now is able to do some of the moves that she has been teaching the other kids for months. Rather than focusing on her growth, she reprimanded a child for touching mirrors!!! Her response was that there was also another child starting about the same time. What is that supposed to mean? Is this a competition? They are toddlers, for goodness sake!!! The female front receptionist (owner?) and the male phone receptionist were super nice people, but that teacher is something else... read more

Mr. Cuong is a really great teacher to my daughter. She has been learning piano and did her first successful recital last December 4th. I have been bringing my 2 daughters to OC Musica for their piano lessons since August 2022. When they started they were only ages 4 and 6. Prior to lessons, my children have never touched a piano. Mr. Cuong is the teacher for both of them and I have to say that I am impressed about his ability to keep my kids engaged during their sessions. He is so patient and his passion for teaching really shows during the lessons. I am so proud of my kids to catch on quickly, but I am also grateful for the attention to detail of these new skills that Mr. Cuong instills in them. Now into their 6th month and my kids went from not ever touching a piano to being able to play and read notes. As they progress, the difficulty of the music may get more challenging but Mr. Cuong makes it a fun session for them while they learn. I highly recommend OC Musica. read more
