The gym itself is clean, spacious, and laid out perfectly -- nothing feels cramped or poorly placed. Everyone who goes here is actually there to work out. On days when you can't commit to a specific time due to all the different schedules kids have but still need to get your workout in, it's a total game changer. The equipment is truly top-tier -- honestly the best I've seen, and I've been to a lot of gyms over the years. You can tell real thought went into what they offer. My 9 year old daughter who plays softball and volleyball started at the ROCK in December of 2017. She was matched with an awesome trainer who is also a high school baseball coach. The private workouts are specifically designed for her and they include a solid cardio component as well as drills/exercises that help improve speed, reaction time, pitching strength and verticals/push offs. This morning I was circling the parking lot for about five minutes as there was no parking. I had my one month in the car screaming crying and my four year old. It was very hot and I was trying to park close to Oslo as I had my hands full with both kids, stroller and diaper bag. I was waiting MAYBE 3-4 minutes for a car to back out with my blinker on ( mind you, the car leaving just finished a workout class at her studio). Heaven forbid she be a little patient and wait she decided to get out of her car and come up to my window and tell me I was holding up the whole parking lot. I told her I had a newborn baby in the car crying and was just trying to park. She looked at me and rolled her eyes and walked away. Of course , I then felt bad for all the other people waiting, NOT her and drove away not waiting for the spot anymore. This was extremely off putting and I will never take a class at her studio and ensured all my friends at Oslo knew how rude she was. My four year old also said, "mom, that lady was not nice at all"!!. Everyone is in a hurry lady! Have some respect and compassion as you had no idea my situation. Happy Friday and be nicer!!
