Trying to cancel a membership here has been a nightmare. I reached out multiple times over the course of months with no response, yet continued to be charged. Getting in touch with customer service is nearly impossible, and when you do, nothing gets resolved. Between the overcrowding, lack of available equipment, and the complete failure in basic customer service, this has easily been the worst gym experience I've ever had. I enjoy going to this gym and especially going to the movie theatre area to watch the movies. It is nice and cool in there. I also like the sauna and feel like it is clean. I do feel like the showers smell a bit and some of the machines or massage chairs are out of service for a long time. I even reached out as asked them to clean the jacuzzi a month ago when I first started there and this is how it looked yesterday...the same. Yucky and gross... mold? Never heard back from them. I called again and the guy at the front desk said he would pictures but never heard back. I like the pool. Would be nice if they could add some kick boards. read more

I have absolutely loved this place have had no issues, have befriended most of the employees because they generally higher great people. Today I decided to come in earlier than normal and the person at the front named Jonathan was the absolute worst experience I've had to date. Basically accused me of stealing because I brought my own energy drink from home that I pulled out of my backpack. I do not steal and to get accused of anything here is ludicrous to me. I clean up when people leave stuff on the ground, I have brought little gifts for the employees to just put a smile on their face, I say hi to every employee I know and call them by name, I use to work behind the desk so I know little things like that make the day much easier and better. I do not like this Jonathan guy he was bad energy, he forgot to do his job of turning the sauna on too, seems like he needs to find another job and I'd highly recommend he does. read more

EoS - Ladera Ranch (14th EoS we've visited). We arrived on a Sunday morning, and the gym was so packed, it felt like the entire community of Ladera Ranch had decided to get fit at the same time!?!? Members were wiping down machines after use, very courteous!! Staff are friendly. The machines were functional, but they did not have that specific chair/bench that we like. All other machines were ok. There is a swimming pool whichh was nice. But the real kicker? No cryo lounge!! :( As someone who believes in the healing power of freezing cold compress after a leg day workout, this was a dealbreaker. In conclusion, EoS - Ladera Ranch is like that friend who invites you to a party, but then hogs the karaoke machine and eats all the chips. Nice, but probably won't be back. read more

I'm very disappointed with my experience with EOS Fitness, specifically regarding personal training and the handling of my cancellation. When I signed up for personal training, I was told by Jon Starkweather that I could cancel at any time because I explained that my schedule was uncertain. On July 18, 2026, I spoke with him in person and clearly stated that I could no longer continue. He agreed to stop the training and the charges.Despite that, my credit card was charged $92 on July 22 and another $92 on August 5, for a total of $184 after I had cancelled. I followed up multiple times on July 23, July 26, and August 5. I was told the charges would be refunded, but as of the time of writing this review, I still have not received the refund. What is most frustrating is not simply the $184, but the amount of time and effort required to resolve something that should have been handled immediately after cancellation. I should not have to repeatedly follow up about charges made after I was told my personal training was cancelled.I'm sharing this review so others are aware of my experience. I hope EOS Fitness resolves the issue, refunds the $184, confirms the cancellation, and ensures there are no additional charges. read more

Updating this review after a few years and to no surprise, this gym is actually worse than it was before. The amount of teenagers that come to this location plus the overall demeanor of staff have made this location the worst gym I've been to during my 15+ years of lifting. Reading through all of the reviews, it is quite obvious that the EOS management team truly does NOT care about what members think nor are they willing to do anything to make things better. The saying "the customer is always right" doesn't mean anything here and the amount of lies and deception from the company is almost comical. For anyone reading this that is considering signing up at this location, I seriously advise against it and recommend you look to a different gym. read more

For the price I pay, it's a good facility. I've been a member of this gym for years and I've had a love and a "meh" relationship with it. The "meh" comes from: 1) I wish they enforced people reracking the weights and wiping down machines. 2) The classes. They keep tweaking the start times and it makes it a little difficult to plan. Additionally, I still wish they had lunchtime classes. The BodyPump instructors Audra, Melanie and Karen are fantastic. Don't miss Jeff's Good Vibe Ride on Sunday mornings. One of the nicer EOS fitness chains in Southern California. The equipment is well maintained and modern and there is a pool and sauna. My only reason for not giving 5 stars to this location is because the men's sauna frequently breaks down at this location because of people messing with the sensors. Every 2-3 weeks or so the men's sauna always has to be repaired because of an issue like this but it keeps happening. More should be done to punish those individuals. read more

I recently joined this gym back in early June. I was a member briefly in 2021-2022 when the place was newer. Anyway, i noticed changes and shares feedback with their general mgr Brandon, but never received a response. It has been 2 months. The management is useless and they don't do anything to improve this gym. See comments/feedback I provided below. This gym is trashy, poorly maintained and most people come here have no manners or proper etiquette to be respectful of other members. All comments shared regarding young high schoolers blocking machines or chitchating with other while using equipment are all true. ------------------ Hi Brandon, I recently joined the gym. I was a member part of 2021-2022 while I lived here temporarily. I do want to bring a few things to your attention. 1st - As you are aware, there are a number of young guys in the locker room using phones and tripods to film themselves in the locker room area. This is absolutely unacceptable for anyone filming or using phones inside locker rooms. I don't know what you are doing about it, but this needs to stop immediately. People don't feel comfortable with cameras around in the locker room. I saw your staff walking around, but didn't say anything. 2 - You need to focus on cleanliness. The gym is not well maintained. Equipment flooring, cardio machines, locker room, bathroom are pretty dirty every time I have been there. 3 - Please post signs near the machines to inform folks to avoid using cell phones while using the machines or limit their time. Some people have no etiquette and care about others waiting for machines, sitting on equipment for 15-20 minutes when 1/2 their time is spent on cell phone browsing. Pretty rude and most times, I can't find a machine to use. 4 - Please stop people from using heavy weight lifting machines in the green area designed for stretching and light workouts. I see people bringing heavy weight equipment there....it is very dangerous and someone will get hurt. Also have noticed people leave weights on floors....if members don't put them back in the right place, then you need to have your staff periodically do this 5 - Music is always loud. While the Ladera Ranch location of Eos gym is conveniently located; has affordable membership fees; has a pool, sauna, classes and a nice equipment..... BEWARE of shady practices within joining, especially when signing up for personal training. Some employees flat out lie in order to get commission so ask lots of clear questions and read everything before signing. They flat out lied to me about personal training and then told me I was getting a refund of 2 charges made after I had already cancelled personal training, I was told my refund was approved. Close to 4 months later, no refund and they are STILL telling me my refund is approved and on its way. They omit certain info in order to sign people up. Furthermore, they never closed the gym to have it sanitized after becoming aware of a client having MEASLES!! I was told they "sanitized" but for something like measles, you need a certain kind of sanitation done, and a closing of the gym in order to do that properly, not just a quick wiping of machines. I told him I wanted to wait to sign up until I could see if my son would adjust well to the childcare. He ASSURED me he would extend the grace period to make sure it would work out. They had zero trainers available the week I signed up and pushed my first session a week after. After my first session (which my trainer never showed up for) I told them I wanted to cancel. I had such a horrific experience with EOS personal training, I have literally lost my love of working out. This gym is beyond unprofessional, corrupt, and the former manager (Vishal) called me, and I quote "stupid little girl". He also blatantly lied and misrepresented the contract I was signing. When I attempted to share his response to other employees in management at the gym, I was belittled and not believed. I also had THREE personal trainers quit while I was working with them, EOS NEVER informed me or placed me with someone new. Shoutout to Bri at the daycare! She is amazing and always upbeat and professional. All the daycare workers deserve 5 stars. The gym recently updated some of the equipment and the grass. But since I've been going to the gym for 3 years now here are some critiques The hip thrust machine always has a line. Please invest in another hip thrust machine or two because it truly is one of the most popular machines for the girls. There is only one smith machine. There is always a line for the smith machine as well. I've also had a lot of issues with people placing their stuff on equipment and walking away like that claims the machine. There needs to be a sign that says you can't put your stuff on an equipment and walking away for 10 mins. It's very frustrating for a mom that only has a certain amount of time to workout while my kid is in daycare. My app has not worked to make a daycare appointment for months. I've mentioned this several times and the management needs to help the daycare with this issue. The daycare hours have made me truly considering canceling and going to lifetime since that is honestly the only reason I go to this gym. They should be open on sundays and not have a 4 hour gap in the middle of the day. read more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! DONT GO HERE. I am writing to formally demand immediate action regarding my EOS Fitness membership and personal training services. This matter has dragged on for nearly a year without resolution, despite multiple documented attempts to cancel, pause, or address billing concerns. I initially signed up for personal training when I became a member in October 2024. After only 3-4 sessions, my trainer left in December 2024. I was told I would be reassigned a new trainer, but that never happened. I followed up multiple times in January 2025--via phone and email, specifically with a staff member named Brandon--to request a reassignment or a pause in training charges until further notice. My outreach was ignored or delayed, and I continued to be charged for services I was not receiving. In February, after another charge, I followed up again and was told the freeze would be initiated, though no details were provided. I again requested confirmation and reimbursement for unused sessions. Brandon then claimed I had not given enough notice--even though my request was made on January 14, well within a reasonable timeframe. Despite my continued outreach, charges persisted in March. I again requested to freeze or cancel training services entirely and received no response. I also asked to be connected with the San Clemente PT manager after I began using that location. Again, no follow-up. I eventually spoke to a trainer manager in San Clemente (possibly Zack), who promised someone would help me use the sessions I'd already paid for. That never happened. At this point, I was working out on my own and no longer interested in personal training. In July 2025, I moved to San Diego and noticed I was now being charged twice monthly--$88 per charge. I contacted the San Clemente location and spoke to Lucca, who initially seemed helpful but has since failed to follow through. Despite multiple calls and voicemails (on 7/17, 9/4, 9/12, 9/18, 10/7, 10/8, 10/20, and others), I have not received any meaningful response from him or Monique, the district manager he claimed would contact me. I've been told repeatedly that someone would follow up--yet no one ever has. Because EOS Fitness failed to stop these unauthorized charges, I had no choice but to block further payments, which has now resulted in a negative balance in your system and a collections notice affecting my credit. This is unacceptable and entirely avoidable. Today, October 20, 2025, I noticed yet another $88 charge, along with an additional $102 annual fee. After everything I've outlined here, the continued billing is indefensible and borders on predatory behavior. Let me be extremely clear: * I am demanding immediate cancellation of my membership and personal training services. * I expect a full refund of all charges made since my original cancellation request on January 14, 2025. * I require confirmation that the collections report is withdrawn and my credit is restored. Your handling of this situation has been unprofessional, negligent, and entirely unacceptable for a company of your size. This issue has gone unresolved for nearly a year. UPDATE: I ended up having to talk to the CEO (?) in Texas over the phone about this incident and they kept trying to offer me "free services" (aka giving me the services i was supposed to get originally to even out their debt) instead of refunding me. After going back and forth she finally agreed to refund me... A few days later they must have accidentally charged me another $1000 instead of refunding and at that point I gave up and had my bank dispute the charges with them and I finally got refunded. I go to another gym now and they have never tried to pull anything like that on me.. I hope everyone has a different experience than I did but unfortunately I have a horrible taste in my mouth and caution people to be aware of what they agree to when going here. This review is not about the facility itself. It is about the gym stealing $2,100 from me for services I have never received. The gym has my card on file and has been charging me $300 every 2 weeks for "personal training" that I have never signed up for or received. I did sign up for the free training that was offered when I joined the gym, but the trainer actually canceled a couple hours before the appointment. We never rescheduled. Fast forward 2 months when I'm looking over my credit card and I realized that EOs has charged me $2,100 for personal training. I immediately call corporate and they tell me I have to go to a gym. So I go and talk to a manager Jonathan Starkweather and he says that I signed up for training. I show him emails and text messages and he is shocked. He claims he will refund the money. Another 7 days go by, so I stop in to see him again because he ignores the messages. He then tells me I need to fill out a special form, so I do that. In which case he claims I will get my money back. It is now 2 weeks later and not only did he not refund the money, but they ran another $300 charge. Jonathan stopped returning messages and the last time I spoke with him he claimed that his boss needs to be the one to approve the refund. This who thing is a complete joke. I was an original member and the gym was immaculate. I was very pleased when they started adding some high quality equipment such as the Arsenal line. Now, I only go here because I it is my only option. I actually drive by this gym, and drive 30 minutes south to EOS in San Clemente because that gym is amazing. I am not an EOS hater, I am simply not impressed with EOS Ladera. Here is why: PROS: Close to my house. Lots of good gym equipment. CONS: The most overpacked and crowded gym I have ever been to, and I have been a gym rat since 1984. On a GOOD day, it is crowded. On a bad day, every piece of equipment is being used and people are in line waiting. Next, when something breaks it STAYS broken for a LONG time. The seatbelt on the selector pullover has been broken for over a year. The Hoist leg curl machine was broken for over 2 weeks. The hack squad sled used to be the smoothest I had ever used. Now, it literally feels like someone poured sand on the rails. I am guessing this thing has never been lubed. It is rougher than sleds I have used in outdoor gyms. Finally and this is BIG. The gym culture here is the WORST of any gym I have ever belonged to. As noted by many, it is 80% teenagers and 20% adults on the weight floor. That is not the problem. The problem is, they (staff) does not hold the younger kids accountable for leaving their weights on the equipment. It literally looks like a flea market in there with weights strewn everywhere. Then the kids generally move in groups of 3-4 so when they get on a machine, they STAY on it. "Working in" is not an option at this gym. One kid was vaping IN THE GYM between sets. Staff saw it, did nothing. Heck, even the staff leaves equipment out. I saw a trainer working with a client with some dumbbells. When they were done, he just left the dumbbells behind. I checked back 10 minutes later and they were still there. If you consider the fact that I live 2 minutes from EOS Ladera but still drive 30 minutes to EOS San Clemente you will now that this gym has some series "gym vibe" issues. BTW, on the contrary EOS San Clemente is one of the BEST gyms I have ever belonged to. I will write a review on that later. read more

TLDR: This is the Wal-Mart of commercial gyms. It is a commercial gym with decent equipment and a lot packed into a small space. It is unfortunately a very crowded space so your mileage may vary depending on the time of day you come in. For example, on my first two visits from my 7 day trial, Monday I went mid-day at noon and on Tuesday I went after 8 pm and the gym was pretty packed. You can wait and get in on equipment but this place is also full of younger people on their phones and hogging equipment without any etiquette. I guess the thing about EoS is that it is a month to month membership so this brings in a lot of people and it gets very crowded at all hours. You get what you pay for, but I'd suggest checking out the 24 hr Fitness next door or the LA Fitness at the Kaleidoscope to see which place fits your vibe best. read more

My sister signed up for the personal training and was verbally communicated she was going to pay $150 a month for 4 months. After receiving multiple charges to her account she realized something wasn't right and called the EŌS PT help desk who directed us to go in person to speak with the fitness manager to have them adjust her contract and or come in to a settlement with a cancellation fee .Therefore we went In Person to speak with the fitness manager " VISHAL" he was rude and inappropriate calling my sister and me "HONEY" and "SWEETIE" instead of referring to us by our first names very inappropriate of a him a "fitness manager" who doesn't know how to respect a client. When I asked for his name he tossed the business card and did not hand it to me in the hand as a normal person would. IF you come to sign up for the Personal training program just know you only get a 1-3 day window to cancel because they don't tell you .
