I went to this urgent care while I was sick, and the experience was frustrating. The receptionist asked me to email my proof of insurance, but even after sending it multiple times, she kept saying she didn't receive it. I tried three times and even suggested it might be an internet issue, but she didn't offer any helpful solution. I asked if she could just take a photo of my insurance card, but she said she couldn't use her phone, which felt like an odd response. Eventually, a nurse stepped in and suggested using an iPad to take a picture--such a simple fix that could have saved time and stress. I had a very stressful time firing my Doctor that day who I felt had not been diagnosing my health 100%. Plus his office Manager said when I asked her to repeat her sentence, as her accent I found hard to understand, she said "You have an accent too" I come from a British speaking country I was disgusted with her reaction. That was it. I had been in bed sick 18 days, no family support. I had completely run out of my blood thinner /blood pressure / heart fibulation tablet, I was in a dilemma to know how I could get it with out a Dr's prescription. So greatful I came to this Urgent Care, since many of them are either hit or miss when it comes to service. All of the staff were really sweet, especially Dr. Wu. I was so happy to be able to have him be my doctor! He listened to what I had to say, explained everything thoroughly and made me feel comfortable in such a vulnerable state! I had an amazing experience with this urgent care....from the phone call through the entire visit. The girl behind the front counter was very helpful and very sweet with everyone in the office. She was very accommodating and walked everyone through how to do stuff. They got me in relatively quickly even though there were a bunch of people there. The PA was great and friendly. They prescribed the wrong antibiotic for my child, and when we returned for help, they messed up again with another incorrect dosage. We ultimately had to visit Marques to fix their errors. My personal experience as an adult wasn't any better. The medical student on staff is completely unqualified; I doubt he has even taken a basic course in human biology. The front desk staff are terrible at customer service. Despite its convenient location for residents in Foothill Ranch and Lake Forest, I recommend you think twice before stopping by. The glowing reviews and 5-star ratings? Most are generic, likely generated by AI or from their own staff. Avoid this facility at all costs! Again, they have the wrong address and directions listed on Yelp. It's not in El Toro; it's located at 26781 Portola Parkway #4E, Foothill Ranch, CA 92610, and the photos confirm this. Absolutely no complaints about this urgent care. Definitely recommend if you need uc in the area. I went in mid day, mid week, and from the time I walked in to when I was seen was no more than 20 minutes. Everything was very streamlined and I received prompt care. The front desk staff, nurse, and doctor were all lovely (girl power!) and helpful. They even called me a week later to see how I was feeling, so sweet. I went in 15 minutes after they opened with 1 individual that was waiting before me. They took me back and did my vitals within 15 min. Then I waited another 40 minutes to see a PA who didn't even ask me specifics about other symptoms - even mentioning in her explanation "you don't have a cough", and "since you've tried OTCs like Advil and Tylenol" - both assumptions on her part. I didn't mention either of the 2 to her. When I said I did have a cough, she argued with me that I said I didn't when she didn't even ask. For that reason I wouldn't return there. The patient rooms felt dirty too. Carpet was gross and paint was chipped off the walls. Additionally, of the 4 staff members I encountered, not one appeared to even like their job. Don't recommend. I have nothing but amazing words to say about the entire staff and doctors. They guided me through the entire process and really made me feel at peace with the situation I am dealing with. Just wanted to give a shout out to the ladies up-front and Dr. Wu of O.C. Urgent Care in Laguna Hills off of El Toro road. I can say enough good things about this practice and the way they treat new patients coming in. The nurses at the front are stellar, very kind, and helpful. One thing that stood out and made me feel good was that they remembered me from my 1st visit about a month ago. I came in to see Dr. Wu because I don't have a PCP yet and needed a refill on my medication and from the moment I walked through the door I was greeted by the nurses upfront who remembered me, and took me back to take my vitals and see the doctor within minutes of arriving. Once I got to the back it only took Dr. Wu two minutes to come in and assess me and prescribe the right medication for me. He was thorough, caring and reassuring. He told me that he recommended that I do get set up with a primary care physician however if something prevents that from happening that he and his team would be there for me no matter what. We need more doctors and practices like this. When you are new you can sometimes get that nervous feeling not knowing how the visit will go however Dr. Wu goes out of his way to ensure you do not feel that way. If you are looking for A-grade Urgent Care in Orange County, I would encourage you to bring you and your family here and you see exactly what I am talking about. If I could give more than 5 stars I would...because not all urgent cares operate the same. Kudos to you Dr. Wu and the sweet nurses upfront for creating such a friendly and welcominh environment to come to. I'll be seeing you again. read more

I took my son in for back pain. We were the only ones there on a Saturday morning, which was awesome!! The office is brand new and very nicely decorated and the staff was very professional and helpful. The doctor really listened to my son and took the time to show my son some exercises he could do for his back pain. Overall, I would highly recommend OC Urgent Care. The office is very clean, also the bathrooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This has been the best experience I've ever had at an urgent care. DO NOT COME HERE. These doctors or "PA's"do not listen. I went in sicker than a dog and told her I have severe asthma when sick and I get walking pneumonia very quickly ..she denied me antibiotics, gave me an inhaler and nose spray.. now today next day, my voice is completely gone and she still will not prescribe antibiotics. I get triggered because my infant son died due to medical negligence 4 and a half hours after he was born so I am SO SICK OF THESE PEOPLE CALLED DOCTORS ACTING LIKE GOD AND TRYING TO PROVE A POINT. They told me to go to the ER.... I should have learned not to come back after they tried to treat a 3rd degree burn by scraping it!! And when I finally found a burn center that oc urgent care did NOT recommend even going to a burn center. When I explained how oc urgent care was treating this severe burn they were in shock, they told me they put people to sleep when they scrape! I was wide awake and they also said. That wasn't the right treatment. To all the doctors, you are not GOD, you are some person that somehow graduated medical school and now think you have the power. Was seen here a month ago. And this facility still hasn't helped me with getting a prescription that the Dr said I needed. I also needed to access my records & when logging onto their patient portal my records aren't on there but wrong prescriptions I wasn't even give are listed. I called to get help with this & all I've been given was the run around & that if I needed my records I have to go in because the portal doesn't work. This is one of the worst urgent cares I've ever been to. Don't waste your time being seen here because they don't help you with anything. read more

I visited this urgent care because I knew I needed antibiotics for an infection. They took a sample and sent it off for testing but ultimately my symptoms were obvious and they prescribed an antibiotic that I started taking and my condition improved immediately. A day or so later, this urgent care office left a message on my voicemail saying they got my test results and to call them back. Thinking there must be something out of the ordinary for them to ask me to call them back about the results, I did so. They provided no new information on this call, just that my infection was what we thought it was. They apparently consider returning this phone call to be a teledoc visit and they charged my insurance for this. It was not indicated in the voice mail that returning the call would be considered a teledoc visit, nor was I told during the phone call that I would be charged for the phone call. I later received a bill for this that I found very surprising because from my perspective, I did not receive any additional care and when I called the billing office I was informed that the phone call I returned was in fact additional care. Due to this deceptive practice, I will never be returning to this urgent care and I will most certainly not be answering any phone calls from them lest they decide to bill my insurance for it. read more
