Great urgent care if you have something easy. Cuts, coughs, colds, mild infections, whatever. They have on-site xray, pharmacy, surgical equipment. Easy to work with. However if you have something less obvious going on it's not the best place. A couple of times they didn't do the best job diagnosing my issues. Probably depends on the specific provider. Also wait times could be better, you can spend at least an hour before being seen. read more

I don't usually write bad reviews, but the way I was treated at this urgent care was unacceptable. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist was extremely unwelcoming--no hello, no eye contact, and a very rude and dismissive attitude. The clinic was empty and two receptionists were sitting at the front desk. One immediately picked up the phone and seemed to pretend to be busy, while the male receptionist made me feel like I was bothering him just by being there. When one of the doctors stopped by, he just tried to smile a little in front of the doctor, but his attitude was still unfriendly and unprofessional. Even though no one was in the waiting room, he told me there was no availability and asked me to come back in 45 minutes. I left, and I decided to cancel my appointment specifically because of the way the staff treated me. I didn't feel comfortable coming back and receiving care at a place where the first interaction with a patient is this disrespectful. When I returned to cancel, the same receptionist saw me coming, immediately picked up the phone and I walked toward the other receptionist. It really seemed like he was trying to avoid speaking to me. Later, I read their reviews and saw that other patients have complained about similar problems with the front desk. Clearly, this is not the first complaint, and management should take these comments seriously. I had a bad experience here a couple of years ago and stopped coming. Today I decided to give them another chance, and unfortunately I regretted it. I canceled my appointment because of the staff's attitude--not because I no longer needed medical care. People come to urgent care because they need help. A simple hello, eye contact, kindness, and basic respect should be the absolute minimum. I will not be coming back. read more

This is NOT the first time having to wait long periods at UFC Medical Care. This place runs VERY late and is understaffed. I booked an appointment online, which they do note doesn't guarantee your time, but I still waited about 45 minutes to be seen, so plan accordingly. The bigger issue was the confusion around a very common blood test. I went specifically because their website lists it as an in-house lab test. The front desk didn't know if they offered it. The nurse said they didn't do it on-site and thought it would need to go to LabCorp, but wasn't sure how that process worked. Then the doctor had to ask whether they could even draw blood at this location. The same nurse who wasn't sure about the LabCorp process ended up being the one to draw my blood, so I'm honestly not confident I'll get results back. Everyone was kind and pleasant to interact with, which I appreciate, but for something as routine as a standard blood draw, there was a surprising lack of clarity from front desk to nurse to doctor. If you're going in for a specific test, I'd call ahead and confirm they can actually do it before booking. read more

I came in because along with flu-like symptoms, I was starting to have difficulty breathing, so I wanted to specifically be checked for pneumonia. I was 10 minutes early for my appointment and there were two other patients who had been waiting; overall, seemed pretty slow! It still took me an hour to see the provider. This always boggles me because the provider only sees you for a few minutes, so what else are they doing? Doesn't seem very urgent to me. Anyway- the provider listened to my lungs and said I didn't have pneumonia. When I asked for an xray to confirm, she said she didn't want to waste having me exposed to the xray radiation since she could already tell. A couple days later, with my symptoms worsening, I went somewhere else for a second opinion and they confirmed I do, in fact, have pneumonia. Is it possible I could have not had pneumonia and then developed it? Slightly, but probably not since I had 100% of the symptoms when I came to AFC. Ultimately, it's not just the time or the money, but how hard it is to bring yourself out of bed being this sick and then only prolonging the recovery. read more

I had a really great experience at AFC Ladera Urgent Care. The front desk staff, especially David, were incredibly kind and helpful from the moment I walked in. I had multiple issues going on and he took the time to carefully write down all of my explanations and concerns with so much patience and understanding. Dr. Parisa was also amazing. She was very knowledgeable and was able to quickly diagnose the issue right away. She explained everything thoroughly and clearly, answered every question I had, and was extremely sweet and reassuring the entire visit. She even took the time to write a note for me when I asked without hesitation. Everything was handled efficiently and professionally, and I really appreciated how smooth and quick the whole experience was without feeling rushed out by her. I came in hopeful that this location would provide a positive experience, but unfortunately my interaction with the front office staff fell short. When I arrived, the front desk staff member did not acknowledge me, despite my standing directly in front of her. She continued a side conversation with someone in another room and, once finished, remained seated without greeting me or letting me know she would be with me shortly. I had to initiate the interaction to move the process forward. I am new to the area and brought my child in because they were sick, so I chose the closest urgent care option. Had the situation not been urgent, I likely would have left. After completing the paperwork, I returned to the front desk and again was not acknowledged. When she did engage, she requested payment without any greeting or explanation. When I mentioned that my insurance card had not been captured and asked if she needed a copy, the response was a brief "sure," without much engagement. The patient coordinator who called us back was friendly, and the provider was fine. However, overall the experience did not meet expectations. Empathy and basic courtesy are especially important in a healthcare setting, where patients may be ill and parents are often stressed and exhausted. While we did receive care, the overall patient experience fell short of what I would expect. read more

Avoid this urgent care at all costs if you're looking to get USCIS paperwork done. They advertise that they handle immigration medical exams, but it's completely false advertising. We scheduled an appointment specifically for this service, and when we arrived, we were told the doctor actually lives in Kansas and doesn't even work in this office. Instead, we were informed that our paperwork would be "sent out" to a different doctor (Dr. Lee) at another office in Anaheim to begin the process. What a complete waste of time. To make matters worse, the front desk staff--especially David Ma--was dismissive, refusing to acknowledge any fault. No apology, no accountability, just excuses. The listed civil surgeon, Dr. DeLuna, is not even on site and apparently "remotely" oversees the office. If you're expecting to meet a qualified doctor and have your paperwork processed efficiently, this is not the place. Be warned--they do not have a doctor in the building, and they'll waste your time while offering no real service. Do not fall for the misleading info on their website. read more

Then my wife called out for help for someone on duty to help our daughter who fell and someone strolled out and I mean strolled after a minute of my wife calling and said "yes" no one is here the doctor is on lunch! Go to the hospital! Who owns this place. Need to look into the owner, who funded it, and if it is a legal operation. It's too weird. Really. It's eerie!! Very odd place! Look at the other reviews. Just went to get my results for a tuberculosis test. My card told me to return today at 2:10 by the latest. The front desk worker had told me to come to the back but I was greeted by the NP Genesis who decided she wanted to reprimand me and my time management skills as this won't "fly in the medical field," (as I'm getting the test for my last year in nursing school). She started off by referring to me as "my love" and proceeded to say she's "going to be nice when she tells me this." I explained my card said 2:10 and i apologized for being late, but if I had to get another test done I wouldn't have thought twice about it. After using me as her personal stress reliever she said she would pass me even though I was late. Now looking at the return reminder card, the 1 before the 2:10 was not eligible for me to have seen it. But I guess no one can make mistakes anymore. I'm very disappointed but not surprised at the unprofessional behavior. It was obvious she brought me back so she could make me feel bad without anyone in the waiting room able to see! I never leave a review but this place truly deserves this one. Last night I rushed my boyfriend to this place with a deep cut on his finger. They close at 8p and we arrived at 7:45p. When we got there, we had two men that should NOT be health care workers. Without any compassion, they turned us away because they already had a patient they were treating and we would have to wait 20-30 min and they closed at 8p. We told them we'd rather wait and they told us again that they had another patient and to go to the ER just down the street. Their attitude was not only unprofessional, rude, but a disrespect for the industry they are in. Healthcare is CARE, it's being sensitive when someone is in pain. They showed no remorse. They should be ashamed of themselves to call themselves healthcare workers. Also, if you close at 8, serve our community until 8!!! If not change your closing time to 7:30 so you can serve a patient waking in within your hours of operation. And turn off your "open" light if you are no longer taking patients. The way they treated us last night reflects the type of care they give. Hard pass. I will never go to this establishment again. read more

I showed up here around 7:45PM last night with a really nasty slice on my hand. They close at 8PM. When I walked up to the front desk and asked to be seen, they informed me that they just had another patient with a cut come in. The guy with purple hair was extremely rude and says, "we're working on that patient right now, the wait would be around 20 to 30 minutes and we close at 8, the ER is right down the street". I told them that was fine and that I'd rather wait instead of sitting in the ER all night. They immediately got annoyed and said again "wellllll.... But we close in 15 minutes". The looks on their faces and unprofessional attitudes were all I needed to see. Ultimately they turned us away with zero regard for the injury or amount of pain i was in/gash on my hand. They didn't care and obviously just wanted to get out of there on time. Off to the ER we went.
