Ondrej from OC wide paint is a real hidden gem!! I have not met anyone so professional, knowledgeable and skillful in a long time. We did 2 projects, lacquer paint for kitchen cabinets and limewash on exterior brick veneer. I have hired painters many times over the years, but it is extremely hard to find a painter who could do lacquer paint in California (due to regulation) and also knows how to do lime washing on exterior bricks. Our house had ugly red brick veneer that I hated for a long time but I didn't know what to do with it except replacing it with new stone veneer but the cost would be so much more. Ondrej is originally from Europe so he knew exactly what I had in mind. His crew spent almost 3 days just for the brick veneer to get look I was going for. Lastly his cost is reasonable especially considering the total time he spent for our project and his expertise. We are doing another paint project in 6 months, we will definitely use him again. Reached out to OC Wide Painting to drywall repair, texture, and paint one of our rooms that looked like Woody Woodpecker lived in it. There were so many holes from different organizer systems that were installed and removed over the years. I didn't want to get my hopes up because it was in bad shape, but I hired Ondrej based on a neighbor's recommendation, and am so glad I did. He explained the multiple step process he would go through to repair it, how he would keep the area clean, how he would schedule the work, and was just really transparent about the whole process. And the results far exceeded my expectations. Well the walls came out great, I couldn't see any of the previous damage, and the work area remained clean, just like he said it would. ***I HIGHLY RECOMMEND OC WIDE PAINTING** I am SO happy with the way my house turned out. I had them paint the interior and exterior of my house. I have a huge aluminum patio cover that can be bent if the painters are not careful. The only way to paint the second floor is to stand on the patio cover. I was very concern because a lot of top rated painters were not too confident about painting my house without damaging the patio cover. I called other painters that were highly rated on Yelp. One of them was XENAK PAINTING with Martha. She was late for our appt, answering phone calls during our meeting then she rushed me and started to leave while I was trying to ask her questions. Martha said she will send her painter that day to look at the patio cover and NO SHOW. Thankfully I didn't picked XENAK Painting. Now I know why all my neighbors used OC Wide Painters for exterior and interior painting. I am so impressed with their attention to detail. They are always on time and very professional and trust worthy. Ondrej, David and their crew were PHENOMENAL. I cannot say enough good things about their work. Everything was prepped, caulked, patched and they took the time to remove all door knobs, light fixtures, door seals, door peephole instead of just taking short cuts to tape or wrap the fixtures. I got quotes from several yelp-recommended painters before going with Ondrej (pronounced On-drey) and OC Wide. The price was good, and I liked his attention to detail. I thought I'd had my color picked out, but Ondrej bought a sample anyway (no charge!), painted a swatch and asked me to check it. After actually seeing in on the house, I knew it was wrong and was glad he'd gone through the effort. So I bought a few more small pints (at my own expense) until I found a better color. We'd also had the house tent-fumigated before the painting and Ondrej was unhappy with some of the wood patching the exterminator had done, so he re-did it. Again, attention to detail. Where do I begin? I hired another painting contractor before I hired OC Wide Painting, BIG MISTAKE! The other contractor was beyond horrible! I had paint outlining (called picture framing) in every room, around every window, outlet, doorframe etc... of a 4100 sq ft home. There was also bleed through after 4 coats of paint because they didn't prime (Dunn Edwards paint). There was over-spray and paint drips everywhere! Paint was peeling off in some places and changing color in other places. I called OC Wide Painting and spoke with Ondrej, the owner. I told him of my dilemma and pleaded with him to take on this paint job. Although he was booked out for 3 weeks, he made time to come out and take a look at my home and assess the damage from the previous painters. I was so upset at the condition of my house that I started to cry. Ondrej told me not to worry as he could fix it all. He has a highly trained eye for even the smallest details and was in disbelief at what the other painters had done. Even though he doesn't like to criticize other contractors, he had to admit it was a really, really, bad job! Ondrej made time in his schedule to begin work on the second story of my house, which would take anywhere from 8-10 days because of repairs he had to make due to the other painters. He knew I needed to move in by 7/26 the latest. Ondrej's work ethic and technique was beyond anything I've ever experienced with a painting crew. My entire second story was meticulously and completely covered in paper, tape and plastic. Everything that was removable came off the walls, including doors! Everything was masked and prepped with the utmost care for my property. He is very detail oriented and was able to remove the over-spray and paint the other painters got on my woodwork. Ondrej and his workers are top-notch and very friendly and courteous. I am so happy with the final results that this time I cried tears of joy! Ondrej will be back to finish the first story of my home in a few weeks. I wanted to give him a review ASAP because I'm so happy with the finished product upstairs and can't wait to see the whole house done. If you're looking for a professional painting contractor, don't look for the cheapest price, look for the best contractor. Ondrej was on the job every day painting alongside his crew. I called OC Wide Painting and spoke with Ondrej to get my drywall repaired from a flood and then painted. He came over the next day and gave me a quote by email the following day.The quote was very reasonable and Ondrej told me the work would take two days, one day to repair and texturize the drywall and another day to paint the walls. I gave him the OK to proceed and we scheduled for the following Monday at 8:00 am. On Monday morning at 8:00am, Ondrej and his helper showed up at 8:00am sharp and went right to work. Needless to say, I was amazed at how good the drywall repair came out. I could not tell the difference between the old drywall and the repaired drywall. They did a fantastic job of texturizing the patched drywall with the old drywall. The next day they painted the walls and the paint they used matched my paint perfectly. All I can say is that if I ever need Painting or drywall work done again, I will always call Ondrej at OC Wide painting. read more
