I purchased a condo within the past year that needed some drywall issues resolved - split seams, nail pops and some wallpaper and chair rails removed and retextured. I contacted several places, and Dana was not only the most responsive, he was the fairest priced and the most comprehensive. He came on site to quote the project to make sure that he thoroughly understood and could give me an accurate price. I thought that I would have to find a separate vendor for the subsequent painting, but he did that too, and that made the whole process seamless. I had a window of about 10 days before I had houseguests arriving. I told Dana I could do the project before or after their visit. He had a crew on site the next day and it was all completed with 2 days to spare. Both the drywall and paint teams were excellent. They prepped well and cleaned up very well afterwards. They were very easy to communicate with. The informed me of what would happen each day and asked questions where any clarification was needed. It was a big effort for me, but the inconvenience was minimized because they took great care with their work and were respectful of my home. The quality of the work was excellent. There was one unanticipated issue discovered when I went to put everything back after the work was completed. I informed Dana of it and he had a guy come out to resolve it to my satisfaction. After scraping the old texture, they skimmed drywall mud on taped joints and nail holes so that they very not noticeable after painting. The owner Dana was very thorough and easy to get along with, and I found him very accommodating to revise his schedule around my own schedule. Both the texture removal crews and finish painting crews were excellent. They were very conscientious of my furnishings and carpeting, by taping plastic all around to protect them from damage and debris. This time, I decided to call him again because I have found the handyman that claims to do drywall does not do so well. And I thought Dana did pretty good the first time. Has been this much so far... Called on Monday of this week asking if they can help fix dry wall. Specially, I was asking if they can re-mud as my dry wall was performed by another contractor. I took about two minutes of his time asking a few questions what can or cannot be done. He also said that anything can be fixed but he would need to see it in person. I was told that he would call me back to make an appointment for this Saturday. He needed to cut short the phone call because one of his crew members was calling him I already got a sense that he wasn't interested in help out with the my project. What I liked more then the other two quotes, was that Dana took time to explain exactly what his crew would do in detail. They came out a week later and in 2 days a crew of 4 men scraped my popcorn ceiling and textured all ceilings in my house (even the 14foot vaulted ceilings in my 2 main rooms) They cleaned up each day and put all my moved furniture back. Dana came out listened to what I wanted done, presented some options and gave me an estimate and time frame of completion. They showed up on time started and completed in the time frame quoted. That's the short story. NOW the not so short story, I wanted the old acoustic ceiling taken down and replaced with texture and painted. They arrived on time, proceeded to mask everything off to make sure dust was contained to work area only. What impressed me was they laid down several layers of covering so once they finished a step they'd peel off that layer leaving everything clean for the next step. They worked fast and efficiently and they took the time to explain their progress. After they were done they even left some leftover paint so we would have some just in case we ever had a need for touch ups. When they were finished they left everything clean. I had called 4 different companies - not only Dana (the owner) was one of the most responsive, he was also able to come out and provide me with a quote in writing, on the site, the next day. The communication/scheduling with Dana was super easy/transparent as well. On the very first day of the project, the crew member(s) that was supposed to come in was sick. Dana called me a head of the schedule time, explain the situation, gave me his crew schedule, and committed to an alternative schedule that worked for both my neighbor and I. Had water damage from upstairs bathroom leak that meant I had to tear down dry wall along stairs and room under it. When Dana's crew came in to start the work I was worried the end result wouldn't be up to my expectations but I was shockingly surprised. I could not tell where the old dry wall connected to the new one installed since they retextured the whole wall. Not just the section that was fixed. Over all great work and very professional crew.
