Perhaps the only honest mold detection service around. After seeing pictures, all other vendors wanted to come out and charge me for the visit. Only John said it was obvious from the pictures that it definitely was not mold. We had a long chat (at no charge) and clearly he only does what needs to be done based on science, studies, etc. Many companies are out for the $ and he only wants to do what's best for his clients. John was professional and communicative. He was timely and efficient. There was no obvious signs of mold but there was a smell. He gave us the same advice that mold testings aren't accurate or monitored by any government agency (which we already paid for). He said the only way to see is to open up the wall. He gave a quote and said the price would go up if there was more work. What he didn't mention was that the price would not go down if he did not perform any remediation. His team cut out the wall and there was no mold or even moisture. He said there was nothing to clean or prevent. But he still charged us the full amount of $1975 and he ran a fan and put up a barrier. There was no need for a fan and there was no need for the barrier but he charged the amount as if we had moisture or mold that he had to remediate. While I do trust what he was saying you're better off calling a dry wall or construction to open the wall and then calling John to evaluate because now we need to call the dry wall repair anyways to close up an area that had nothing to remediate. Like I said. Good communication. Knows what he's talking about. But you have a risk of a full abatement charge when there is nothing to remediate. read more

When I called to inquire about his mold experience & services, I was harshly lectured on the phone for 8 minutes about mold conspiracies, how I wasted my money getting a mold inspection, how mold "doesn't make you sick", how the mold industry is a scam, and on and on. I couldn't get a word in and when I tried to, I was snapped at. I ended up hanging up the phone after being berated for nearly 10 minutes.
