I would give zero if I could. They are rude with a look down there nose at you attitude. My nephew left with a brand new gun got into the truck to leave and noticed the box was broken on the hinge with pieces missing. A mistake by a gun seller sent the owner into rude mode. My FFL purchase came with two parts which "were not supposed to be sent together", something over which I had zero control over, a mistake by the company sending the firearm), neither of which was for the other (he assumed so). From the moment I came in I was glared at (perhaps my long hair, who knows) and the owner then came out and almost yelled at me, spoke of a number of laws (he was totally wrong on one), and assumed all my parts were for one gun. Very rude, and condescending, and I would never use this place again. The owner didn't even know about current laws and seemed a bit hateful. read more

Heard about this place on the radio so I decided I was going to find out for myself. I had a gun I've been wanting to sell I went there they told me about it. They made me a very fair offer. I excepted it. I think they are excellent businessman This is a wonderful place to do business with they have plenty of firearms to look at plenty of ammunition. Stay away!! Especially if you are female not very familiar with guns. A female (friend of a friend) took a Vietnam era military issue M1911 to Ocala Armory to sell. They told her they would give her only $500 because someone had nickel plated it and handgrip had been changed. I have been a gunsmith (Michigan) for 43 years. Any nickel can be easily removed completely without any type of damage to gun within a few minutes with common acid combination. Grips are frequently changed or added to any handgun without doing absolutely no damage to gun grip. This gun shop took a disgusting advantage of a female who had no knowledge of a gun (guns). The best gun shop I have encountered in a long time! Super friendly and polite but most of all honest folks. From the walk in the door through trying out what I was looking for, these guys were totally patient. Being on the elderly side they showed me what would be best and they were spot on from the owner on down to our sales rep. Could not ask for a better or more enjoyable experience. Had a firearm transferred to Ocala Armory and went in to pick it up today. Painless transaction, cheap $30 to receive the handgun. Great customer service from the younger guy running behind the counter, the owner was helping others. Good selection, nice store to browse. Walked out with a very reasonably priced shotgun to boot. Shotgun price was equivalent to gunbroker, without the wait or shipping fees. Will shop here again. read more

My wife bought me a gun from this place for Christmas truthfully I really wish she didn't. they were 75.00 more expensive than my preferred dealer in Ocala. They do not offer returns on any guns they sell.[ what does that tell you ?] Doesn't matter if its the next day they will not let you return something once you buy it. The reason I don't like them is I took three guns knowing full well what their value is just to see how honest they would be about them. I took a mint LEE Enfield even nicer 1903 Springfield and a AMT hardballer in like new condition. the offer was so low that I could not be leave he could keep a straight face. he offered 200 for each of the rifles and 400 for my 1911. I acted like I wasn't very knowledgeable on their prices but I was. the springfield I sold a week later for 800. the lee enfield I decided to keep it. The 1911 was sold for 1100 with the same month. I left saying to myself that I would never go back there. My wife was over charged for a glock 43x. I could of got the newer glock 43x mos for the same price a Jerry's in Ocala. this is the place to go if you want to be lied to and charged to much for something.... really sad. there are many good gun dealer in Ocala this is not one of them. you have be warned !!! read more

I have been on both sides of the counter in gun stores as a customer and as an employee in 3 so far in my life. Sandy has been in it for over 40 years and still shows up every day, including Sunday. You cannot imagine how difficult in can be enduring fellow shooters and hunters who are bores,liars and armchair experts. No one who comes in has any idea how your day, your health or your family is doing but pin you down as a captive audience to tell you about their collectible or issues. When you have 2 customers on hold, 2 waiting for you to get to them while running a background check, it can leave you a little frazzled. The guy who just posted a negative review was from out of state and likely could not have purchased a gun anyway. Sandy and staff have always treated me fairly and prices are competitive. Its not my closest gun store, but it's the one I always wind up buying from. read more

Young guys behind the counter are generally very helpful ...The manager is the fat guy that is usually stuffing his face behind the counter...first class smart a@@...I tried to trade a pistol I had bought from this store just 9 months prior... The manager looked at the pistol and did not want to give anything for it..Said the gun was well worn and not worthy of trading..Well the problem with this is that the pistol was in the same condition as when I paid 600 and some change 9 months ago...So he had obviously traded for it prior to my purchase...Beware of what you buy from this guy as he doesn't stand behind what he sells... read more

Waited 10 minutes to be helped. The guy behind the county walked in front of me 2 or 3 times before I finally asked a question, he never asked if I needed help. Then when I tried to ask him a question a few minutes later he didn't even let me finish before he shook his head "no" and then turned around and walked over to another customer, I'm assuming a regular, who had just walked in. I will never go back! I was prepared to spend around $1500 in the store that day but they didn't get a dime from me and never will. read more
