My first appointment I was there 2 and a half hours to get an EXAM. Figured it was a once off. Went again not as long but still 40 minute wait to even been seen to get the blood work done. I see 2-3 people at the front desk or off talking not worried you'd been sitting there for awhile. You can hear the doctor yelling and cussing at the other staff in there, legit couldn't believe it happened 2 of the 3 times I went. Front desk girl had no answers saying " I've only been here 2 weeks". Between the bloodwork micro chip and spay it was $788 dollars. I'm not sure why this place is so highly rated. I had a doctor come in my room to talk to me about the discharge process right after she got chewed out and could tell she just finished crying. No way will I take my other 3 dogs here. read more

They advertise that the Vet specializes in exotics but after a phone conversation with one of the techs there, I come to find out that they are not taking on any new exotic patients. Very disappointing. Very very disappointing. I cannot seem to find any exotic vets that are close to home here in Ocala, FL that have a good reviews. read more

They seemed mire efficient at there old place! Doctor is great but the wait time is not. Waited first day 40 mins had to come back for just a drive by shot I waited 30 mins (it makes animals stress) especially after they were just there.Other vets doctors call people at there car (covid)he comes out but maybe should have more than one. read more

I am not going to write a bunch of petty, negative things about him because he will remain in business regardless of what I say. I will say that Banfield has treated my dogs so well since I have been here and I should have never taken my boys back to this place a second time. I would have given this vet five stars, but the front office staff needs a bit of work. The receptionist was sullen, not a smile on her face and would not make eye contact. There was also a young man sitting up there who couldn't figure out "how people could sit in an office all day," and how "he was only there to be a fireman". Apparently sitting at the front desk complaining was a part of his fireman's certificate training. I started to leave just from that because it gives the place a negative feeling. I am glad I listened to my gut, remembered the wonderful reviews I read about this doctor on Yelp, and stayed. The doctor is amazing. He has a great bedside manner with the animals, you can tell he knows what he is doing, and that he cares about the humans as well as the creatures. Finding good workers is very difficult right now. Plow past the front office and get in to see the doc. If you want your babies cared for by a knowledgeable, compassionate doctor, this is the place to go. One last and important note. This doctor could have easily tried to tell me I needed x-rays, or blood work for my dog's problem and up- sold me as so many veterinarians do, but he did not. He told me exactly what was wrong with my dog just from doing a physical exam and how to care for the problem. Simple and honest. How rare. I left a happy pet owner. read more

We made an appointment a week in advance for 3:45. We arrived at 3:30 as requested. Finally after 45 Minutes we called the front desk. She said that because it was a single doctor practice they were double booked. We asked for our records back. The Doctor came out and said he was sorry we were leaving but he was so busy and that event the University vet clinic was not taking patients. I asked him why they couldn't call us and he gave no excuse. They don't care about your waiting. read more

I was so relieved to find this veterinarian. I have had 5 dogs over the last 17 years and have moved a lot so have had lots of experiences with an assortment of illnesses and different veterinarians. Very compassionate doctor and staff. He really took the time to explain the problem and what he was going to do to try to resolve it. When he explained that he was going to use my dogs Leo's blood to make a serum to help in healing his ongoing eye problem I was thinking OMG $$$ this sounds expensive. I was shocked at how reasonable the bill was today for the appointment, the plastic cone for his head the eye serum and other medication for his eye. I read more about the blood/eye/healing when I got home. Great plan. The assistant was a lovely, friendly women who was very attentive and caring towards Leo as well. I have had experiences at other veterinarians where I have feltl like I am in a car dealership being sold extra rustproofing for my car and that I am a bad pet owner if I don't agree to the long list of extra shots and services suggested that my "elderly dogs really should have". If you are new to the area or not thrilled with your current vet, I really can't say enough good things about my experience there today. read more

This is a great place to take your fur babies! The entire staff is efficient, compassionate and knowledgeable. I wish I lived closer and could come here on a regular basis. Dr. Osbourne was the vet for a rescue kitty I adopted. 6 years later she was having issues and I was not happy with the level of care from the vet in my hometown in Orlando. I took her back to Dr. Osbourne. I called on Monday and they fit me in the next day. He came out to the car (in the middle of COVID- we kept masks on and kept the 6 feet distance rule) to explain she essentially had congestive heart failure. He was so kind and knowledgeable and explained all the possibilities. Dr. Osbourne is one of the best vets I have ever had the experience of interacting with. He is compassionate, caring and extremely knowledgeable. I can not say enough positive things about Ocala Veterinary Hospital. If you have fur babies take them here. They are awesome! read more

I like Dr Osborn and the tech was nice but the rest of the staff absolutely ignored me. I came in ten minutes early for a rescheduled (they rescheduled) first appointment. It was at 10:45. Ninety minutes after my scheduled appointment I finally made it to a room. 45 minutes after that I made it to check out. I asked if there had been an emergency that morning and was told no emergency but they had done surgery. I'm not sure if this is normal and that they really don't understand how to schedule. One of the patients ahead of me said she had an appointment the previous day and waited for such an extended amount of time that they told her to come the next day. The staff at the desk never addressed the excessive wait, gave an explanation or apologized. I've never seen so many people in scrubs pretend to not notice the unhappy patients and owners. My husband freaked about how much the bill came to. $400. Well check, shots and blood work. Thank God nothing was wrong. I also got a one year heart worm shot, that was additional $120. This senior is broke. $523. read more
