She laid out the Coban self-adhering bandage strips, the elastic arm band and the gauze (which would be placed directly on the puncture site where blood is drawn) on the arm rest. When drawing blood, she missed the vein and had to go to the other arm. This time all the materials were placed on the non-sterile side table. I sure hope I didn't pick up any nasty bacteria. This unprofessional, unsanitary medical practice is unacceptable. I won't go to that lab again. If you must go there, and your phlebotomist doesn't follow healthy protocols, say something.
