Pure incompetence and atrocious customer service -- save your time and money!…read more If I could give Park Place Auto Salon zero stars, I would. I dropped my car off at 8:30 AM on 8/4 for what should have been a straightforward process. Instead, I was treated to a masterclass in disorganization, zero internal communication, and passive-aggressive customer service. It starts the second you walk in. The front desk lady (whom I'll call Karen) was standoffish, rude, cold, and completely disorganized. They apparently don't use a scheduling system because I had to give her my full name, phone number, appointment time, and the reason I was there. She had no clue who I was meeting with, so she sent me to a guy at a nearby desk. I then had to repeat everything I had just told Karen to him--even though she was standing ten feet away. He also had no idea who I was. Finally, Howard (the person I actually booked with over the phone) came over from the next table. When I originally set up the appointment on 7/28, I gave them the exact make, model, and year of my vehicle --so they had all the details well in advance. Howard asked if I wanted additional work done while they had it, so I agreed to a full detail, which pushed my pickup to the next day (8/5). Completely fair. What isn't fair is the complete lack of basic automotive foresight. At 9:16 AM, I got a text saying the two tires needed more work than expected. I approved it by 9:31 AM, and they confirmed at 10:11 AM. Then... radio silence until 12:02 PM, when my point of contact texted asking for my wheel lock key. I admitted I didn't know what that was, but here's a thought: wouldn't it behoove a professional auto shop to ask about the vital key required to remove my tires when I booked the appointment on 7/28, or when I dropped the car off at 8:30 AM? So, at 12:30 PM--four hours after drop-off--they hadn't even started on my car. Howard called to ask if he could drive to the local dealership to get a key. Shortly after, he informed me the dealership would have to order the part (3-5 days out). Realizing Park Place Auto Salon is completely incompetent, I decided I was done. I texted Howard the next morning (8/5) letting him know I was cancelling the detail and picking up my car at 8:00 AM. I showed up at 8:00 AM. Howard was late and nowhere to be found. I was left waiting with Karen, who--true to form--was cold, unbothered, and didn't even offer me a seat, water, or coffee while I waited. When Howard finally rolled in, he went to check on the car, came back, and asked me, "Do you need the car today?" ...It's MY car! Why is that even a question?! He pulled the car around and casually mentioned he left the tire caps off so the dealership could see the wheel lock. I had to explicitly ask him to put my car back together and put the caps back on. To top it off, as I was leaving, he had the nerve to ask if I was "even going to go to the dealership." Brother, it doesn't matter what I do next. You messed up, wasted everyone's time, and showed a total lack of professionalism from start to finish. I remained polite through the entire nightmare, but this business is a joke. Avoid Park Place Auto Salon at all costs.

I was contacted within 30 minutes of my initial inquiry and the young man that contacted me was polite and professional, without being pushy and obnoxious. I let him know that I would like to try to handle as much of the transaction as I could online and he completely understood. He worked very hard on my behalf to get me pretty qualified and even got his sales manager involved to accommodate several of my request requests. In the end, I did not end up getting a new vehicle because I did another breakdown of the cost/benefit and found that it was better to just keep driving what I was in until I paid it off in full Rest assured, when I'm in the market for another vehicle, I will not hesitate to reach out to this dealership. They treated me with professionalism and care, and I did not feel pressured or lied to at any point throughout my dealings with them.

I would definitely buy another car here and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable, honest dealership with great communication and outstanding customer service.l.

CAR LOOKS GREAT BUT... I was surprised to learn that I would…read morestill be charged a credit card fee even if I used a check. The only alternative to avoid the cost would be to pay cold, hard cash. In all my years, a personal check has been regarded as the same as cash for most commercial transactions. Banks don't charge a fee to deposit a check. Depositing a check takes 30 seconds using your phone, so you don't need a trip to the bank or ATM. I was solicited by this vendor yesterday. He was obviously trying to drum up some work. I was quoted a price on the phone to detail both the inside AND outside of my car for about $380.00. The vendor told me on the phone that they could come tomorrow (today) as early as I liked. (Another clue they were desperate for work.) I really should have asked for a discount, but I was thinking about having the car detailed anyway, and this guy said he could show up early the next day. If I had used my regular guy, he would schedule me out for two weeks, but only charge me $350.00 for the same job. Two guys showed up and worked for almost two hours. I would have tipped them if the owner had not charged me an absurd credit card fee, even if I had written a check. How much? Let's see, 380.00 with 10.5% tax should be about $40.00, so $420.00.. Then, tacked on an additional $39.00 ???? Of course, the receipt did not itemize anything and just charged me $459.09 flat. (see image) In all fairness, I was given the option to go to the bank (ATM) and get the cash to avoid this ridiculous fee. But this was a time I could not spare, so I was forced to pay the "transaction fee." So, we start with five stars. They really did a good job, so kudos to the crew, and no deductions there. I have to deduct half a star for not being informed about the CC fee up front prior to booking. Deduct another half star for not apologizing or cutting me a break on the cost. Another half star for wanting to charge me the same for a check (which would have saved him the CC fee) and another half star for my indignation and frustration over the entire issue. So, how many are left now? Three? OK three. If he had dropped the fee for a check, I would have been happy to cut one. Since he wouldn't, I opted to use my AMX card, which charges vendors a larger fee. It's really too bad. I would be writing a five-star rave review right now had I not been gouged. From now on, I will stick to my regular guy even though he's swamped. And for good reason, apparently, he doesn't rook you. Glass smeared, door jambs not dry, trunk rubber still dirty, back cup holder not cleaned, some headrest not wiped down. Door storage not wiped out, cup holder not wiped out, carpet on onside of seats not vacuumed. I would have done just as good minus the great trunk vacuum job taking it to Brown Bear and save myself a few hundred dollars. Lesson learned.
