Welp...I still come here but it's not been so great. Some staff is knowledgeable and others are...eh...questionable. Could not answer my questions about the fish they sell. Then other times, another guy is there who is nice but indifferent. The fish store in Clementon seems to have knowledgeable staff. But both have nice fish so I go in between the two and just google the questions I have while in the store. read more

Very nice place to buy your aquatic animal foods and fish tank needs. I really enjoyed my visit to this place. I thought the gentleman behind counter was very friendly and attentive to my needs. I couldn't believe the amount of cool fishes they had here. I was very happy to purchase from them and will be coming to this place more often. Sow this aquarium on the way to the atlantic city so stopped in to see how the store will be up state. Well... It's definitely not upto par from Atlanta's aquarium stores and only had few corals that are not desirable. Its quite a big store with many small aquarium holding fresh and salt water fishes and also had koi pond outside. No display tanks. It was more of warehouse style fish store. Only thing i sow being cool was huge catfish in small tank which was sad. I asked if it was for sale and the employ said its not. read more

I will never shop at this place again. First of all the prices are outrageous. I am all for paying a little bit more to support small businesses but will absolutely go to a big name store in the future. We had a fish tank for approximately 2 months and decided to visit the store. My wife fell in love with a fish that cost $130. The worker at the store at the time said we would have no problem with that fish after describing all the fish in my tank and all the other parameters. After 6 days the fish died. Still the only fish to die that I have ever purchased. I tested the water at home immediately and it came back completely normal. I immediately called the store and they said to freeze the fish and bring it in 2 days later when the owner is there. I followed that exactly and brought a sample of water in which I tested an hour before and all was normal. The owner immediately says we're not refunding any of that and you killed a beautiful fish. My wife was very upset at the way he spoke to use by ridiculing us in front of other customers. In the end he wouldn't give us any money back or any amount of store credit. Bottom line: the owner is an asshole and does not care about the well-being of his customers or supplying proper training to his staff. The owner does not treat his customers with respect and is extremely rude. Because of this I'd highly recommend NEVER to shop here. read more

Do not come to this store, they are a rip off, the fish die then they expect you to pay half price for a new one or blame it on your water, we use bottle water and have the same fish in the tank without any issues! The fish do not last more than a week and we had to pay half price to replace them and those only last one day! The owner is rude and disrespectful! read more

Well if longevity is any indication of how good a place is, this place is the best. Though their current location isnt the original they are known through out Southern Jersey as on of the best places for your aquarium needs. They have just about everything. This place is definetly a place to check for Marine or Salt water needs, tanks, filters, you name it they got it. read more

Rode an hour to check this place out today. Was fairly impressed with the variety of freshwater fish available. Went to look specifically for Peacock Cichlids, which I didn't see any. They did have a very cool Alligator Gar I may stop back in for. read more

Great aquarium store!! The staff were very helpful, and helped me choose what fish to add to my tanks. Large inventory of fish & supplies. It's cool to go in there and just see the giant catfish - he must be 3 feet long! They have everything you could ask for in freshwater, saltwater, and aquarium supplies. read more

This place is the bees knees for fresh water/salt water fish! The owner, John, is the nicest guy and incredibly helpful. We checked out the store over the weekend, an hour before they closed. He greeted us and we went on our way to walk throughout the whole store to check out all the fish. Btw, they have a TON of fish. I have been to some aquariums, trust me, they have some very interesting and rare fish at Ocean Aquarium! It's layed out like a maze of sorts, going through aisles that connect, just when you think you are at the end, another aisle appears with more gorgeous fish on display! Soon after we were there, 2 groups of people came in. So we hung around while John assisted them. As we were watching some fish we never seen swim around, John came quickly around the corner with a smile and said, can I assist you with anything? I thought that was a nice touch! He never forgot about us. He was incredibly knowledable! We ended up getting an albino chocolate plecco. OMG, this plecco is awesome!!!! Never seen this plecco anywhere else. Actually some of the other aquariums I have checked out in the area really don't compare to Ocean Aquarium. Oh and they have decorated tanks on display, anyone say piranhas!!! And there is a koi pond outside and inside as well along with the biggest catfish I have ever seen!!! They also have competitive prices and tanks/frozen food/tons of dry food for sale along with a huge fish selection. Bottom line: either your just starting out in the fish world or you have been a fish owner for years, if you haven't checked this place out, go now!!!!! It's awesome!!!! read more
