Never paid that amount before. Went back to my regular girl and paid $216 with tip but that was for the works. Touch up low and high lights and haircut with blow out! Walking out the door and costing me $260 was ridiculous but when you have a place in Ponte Vedra (off Phillips) so not the upscale part of Ponte Vedra I guess you feel you can charge ridiculous prices. While I have many complaints, the main one is that I did not like my haircut, and even after I tried to ask the stylist to fix it, I was rushed out looking terrible. My haircut was 14 minutes with no wash/shampoo, no blow dry and no products. I was told that the cut would be dry because of my hair type. My hairstylist was Rita who said that my hair type is best cut with dry hair. I have never had that in the past, but I trusted her experience. However, I was very disappointed that she cut my hair so quickly and then didn't ask me if I liked it, I felt like she was pushing me out the door. I have long hair and asked for many layers, lots of layers that are visible and she did not give me that. I had her add more in and asked her to fix a few things 5/6 times, which she did, but with the attitude that I was bothering her. Her cuts are $75 dollars and that's an unfair price for the experience I got. My next complaint is partly due to the coronavirus but it still left a negative taste in my mouth. I called on Friday for an appointment and was told the salon was finally able to use the blow dryers, but to schedule early in the day because they sometimes ran out of sanitized brushes near the end of the day. I came in for my Saturday appointment and Rita told me that was not the case, no blowdrys. I told her that the receptionist told me differently, and her only response was "oh she knows". Therefore my hair looked extremely sad due to the lack of wash/blow dry and products. Overall, I felt very unwelcomed at this salon. I don't like my hair at all and I don't recommend Rita as a stylist.

The condition is called V.A.D. or beauty parlor syndrome. The owner is the one who is responsible for furnishings. Those sinks are antiquated. If you do go there, INSIST you have multiple towels put under your head before you lean back into the sink.

The day of the appointment we recieved a phone call to arrive early 15-20 min and not to be late. As requested we arrived early, upon getting there while getting out of car we receive a call from the salon they are about 30-45 min late. It's now 20 min we are waiting and are told it's going to be another hour to one n half hours more. (Strike one) This is not acceptable. We spoke to a woman there and said sue previous client hair didn't turn out right and needs to redo it. That should have been our red flag to leave. (Strike two) Giving them the benefit of the doubt we waited. The appointment was for a full spiral perm with volume. 5 HOURS later the hair if finished? The hair is a regular perm and flat like a pancake. No volume no spiral curled just waves. Called to speak to the manager. No manager available. Asked for the owner, on vacation. Called a few days later said to come in s her best stylist Kathleen will fix.? Really ? Hair still looks flat, perm was not redone and still not happy at all. They charged 125.00 for what Then give you hair care products. I would most definitely NOT recommend this salon.

Linda (stylist of 36 years) cut my hair Sunday 06/17/18 Evening @ 4pm…read more I showed her a few pictures (below) and expressed concern for difficulty of getting the cut right. It's a mix of a few styles. I told her I want an A LINE LONG BOB of sorts. I explicitly said, I'm not a hair stylist so I don't know the correct terminology so please forgive me. The photos and language were the template that created the style I LOVED. The photos of me in pink are the results of the hair cut I desired. I take responsibility for the results I received and think it's fair to share my experience here. Linda finished cutting my hair and it was nothing like I desired. I grabbed the chunks of hair I wanted to be shorter. I sat back down and she went at my hair another round. There was a moment of chatter about having my hair short- I said, YES! "I want it short in the back, like a cute short cut". I trusted her as she again was confident and motivated. She grabbed the clippers, touched the back of my neck and asked me if that's where I wanted it. I waited a few moments and clarified, "that's where I want my hair to end, yes". Before I knew it, she used the clippers up most of the back of my head. It was too late to say anything and I hoped for the best. What I ended up with was a look like friar tuck in the back. A bowl cut in the back. Two inches of my hair laid in from the top in the back creating a straight horizontal line with buzzed hair below it. The sides of my hair remained longer and untouched except for a trim. I asked her two times for some long bangs in the front. She didn't do anything to the front. The hair on the sides were to be angled. An a line, I expressed. These hairs were horizontal. By the time I looked at the back I wasn't interested in having her cut my hair anymore. I went home. Cryed. Had my bf do some blending in the back so the straight line wouldn't be so bold. I also did a little angle cutting on the hair in the front on the left side. I'm so unhappy with this cut, I feel like I was raped. I was courageous and used my voice to get what I wanted and then she went all the way for whatever reason. I would have NEVER told her to buzz the back of my hair. I realize afterwards, that I could have said, "do a short cut in the back like a long pixie". By then it was too late. I got a wild do and that's that. I get to grow it out and share my experience. I realized earlier this year that if I don't speak up, others will fall victim. Go to your hair stylists with empowered voice. Say what you want and have them repeat back to you what they heard. Clarify for your sake. Clarify so you get what you want. Don't just trust people to do what they want because they only know what's in their experience. Tell them what you want with courage.
