Their ATV's were clean and functional and they drove them to the beach for us which was a huge plus! When they went over the waivers and what our day would include they were detail oriented and thorough to make sure we would stay safe and prepared for any terrain! They were quick and efficient with our check in to get us out on the dunes as quick as possible. I also mentioned that I was a returning customer and It was my birthday and the gentleman helping us told us he could offer us an extra hour on our ride! We knew they were nice reliable people when we started getting low on gas a little over 2 hours in and they met us to refuel and continue our adventure! We rented 4 ATV's from this place for 3 hours. 2 hours in to the rental, once of the 250's started to stall out and wouldn't start. Finally got the ATV back to the staging area and called the company to let them know. They came out and offered to switch out the one that wasn't running but didn't have much time left. The employee (guessing the manager or owner) started asking me what was wrong with it. When I explained what happened he started telling me it was their "best runner" and it's never had any issues. Felt completely Dismissed. I tried to hint at him that the ATV was fine for the first 2 hours in hopes he would pick up the fact maybe he should refund just 1 hour. But no. I would recommend others go elsewhere for your ATV rentals. For the price we paid, I would expect newer ATV's anyway. read more

This place took a reservation on Saturday night, October 9th from my friend...upon arriving the next morning and them being late, disorganized, and inept in their business dealings he got suspicious of them and decided to go a mile south down the road to a GREAT ATV rental place: TOREX ATV...run by real people, like a real business. The stain at Ocean Breeze, (who sounded like an 18 year old kid who was given the money to buy the place by Mom and Dad) said that he would not refund the $65.00 because it has to be cancelled within 48 hours of the reservation - even though the reservation was made about 16 hours earlier. This was the first time riding for me but 2nd for my daughter. We had an absolute blast! Actually reserved a day/time slot when it was forecast to rain all day long (totally our fault). We knew of their cancellation policy (48 hrs prior), just had not looked at the weather. Neil let us change the day to the following day when there was no rain called for. He didn't have to do that. We rented a Razor and ATV from Ocean Breeze. Neil was very patient and explained the process thoroughly, giving us tips operating the vehicles and for where to ride. He even gave us an extra half hour, which made the trip an even better deal, as other rentals in the area were charging up to 2x as much (and there is no guarantee that you can access the beech with some of the other rental companies) My husband grew up with dirt bikes, but it my and my daughter's first time riding. We had a blast! We had no issues at all, other than getting stuck once. Riding on the beech was spectacular, and being around all the other riders, was super fun! My advise would be to go early to avoid afternoon wind and first time riders should stay on the main loop. Intermediate and advanced riders will find miles of really cool and challenge trails that run on top of the dunes, on the beach, in through the heart of the dunes. One of our bikes had a flat tire for the majority of our ride. One of the helmets broke when riding which we were charged for. They tried to accuse of us flipping our ATV. We were also charged for a flag that flew off. And on top of this they charged an extra $40 to my account for no reason. I don't recommend this place and would highly encourage another place like Torex or Florence ATV rentals. read more

SCAM ALERT! Renters beware! Pay attention to the horrible reviews! I reserved the night before by placing a deposit. My friends and I get there and there's no one there. After several minutes, someone finally shows up and they're clearly not ready for us--tablets haven't been charged to review/sign paperwork, no ATV's are there ready to go, etc. The guy decides to tell us they don't have some of the ATV's we reserved available and we'll have to pay for the upgrades. He argues with us about the pricing saying it's more than what the website states. After 10/15 minutes, he finally calls the owner who continues to argue with my friends over the price. Finally we get the price down to what we agreed to, but then they try to double-charge one of us saying the initial charge didn't go through (which is nonsense, because he received a payment confirmation by email). Then the guy in the shack hands the phone to me and the owner proceeds to fear-monger and upsell me saying the one I reserved isn't really well-suited for sand dunes, but I can pay extra for an upgrade. If the semi-automatic isn't well-suited for the dunes, then it obviously shouldn't even be an option. I tell him I'm going to think about it, and I start reading reviews about how unreliable their rentals are. At this point, all of my red flags are up and it's obvious to me that this is a scam. I tell the guy in the shack to cancel my reservation and refund my money to which he says, "Okay, I'll let the owner know." Now having wasted a lot of time, I rush off to have a wonderful experience renting an ATV at Torex before coming back to make sure Ocean Breeze processed my refund. I ask the guy in the shack about the refund. He says and I quote, "The owner should have already processed it," but I should call the owner to double-check. I call the owner and he clearly has no intention of refunding my deposit despite my horrible experiences, saying in an unempathetic voice that I should have cancelled more than 48 hours before the reservation date. How am I supposed to cancel 3 days before the date if I reserved it the night before? This is obviously entrapment. He then promises to call back after confirming something with his "friend" in the shack, but instead I get the longest, unpunctuated, most incohesive series of texts from the "friend" claiming he never said anything about a refund. Since then, I've been trying to reach the owner for 4 days now to no avail. And by the way, I'm skipping over many other issues that occurred too--my friends didn't receive their temporary licences that they paid for, you have to pay extra for goggles because they're apparently not safety equipment, the list seems endless... Looking at other poor reviews, the owner may try to respond to this with something like "we tried to accommodate you with other options" or "issuing refunds goes against our 48-hour policy," but it's all fluff. If he were a decent person, he would've empathized with my horrible experiences and refunded my deposit instead of hiding behind such dismal and sketchy practices. Take it from someone else who works in business--this is a scam, or at the very least, a very poorly run business. Don't assume they have your best interests at heart. They're looking to take advantage of those that lack the ability to call them out and follow through. They don't care about your experiences--they just want your money. I plan on reporting them to the attorney general tomorrow. read more

My friends and I resided to visit a friend in Florence OR. for Memorial Day weekend we desired to rent some ATV's. We called this place and Neil answer the phone and helped us with all the questions and concerns we had and with no attitude. We ended up 3 ATV's for the following day at 10 am for 3 hours. We arrived there the following day at 9:30 am, and we met Neil. He was very friendly, explained everything, make sure we are comfortable with the equipment. The ATV's where loaded on the trailer and ready to go. We got an SUV hooked up to a trailer with the ATV's, and we drove about 1/2 a mile to the dunes. Neil was very accommodating and says if we have any problem with the parking, to give him a call and he will add more time for us. One more thing, the other companies don't take a reservation, the work on "first come first go," and with this company, we hade the option to make a reservation ahead of time. (Which is very important especially in the busiest weekend like Memorial Day). I will definitely recommend everyone I know with full confidence. Thank you, Neil. read more

We ended up flipping the ATV and bending Tire rims, they completely overcharged. Twice the value of the equipment. They will tired to convince me to pay for the whole ATV. They nailed it. The process was so easy. We showed up about 10am and they had two quads ready to go for us on a trailer by 10:30. They handed us the keys to the truck and we drove the 5min down the road to the dune access area. The best part is we could leave our stuff in the truck since this is part of the rental. Both quads worked great and we had a blast with a four hour rental. They also had a better price than expected compared to what I saw at other places. read more

Front desk was nice but the owner tried to stand there and belittle me by trying to blame me for previous rusted damages already on the equipment and gave us horrible customer service. Well it appears as though there is a pattern of charging for broken shit that may have been broken or damaged prior to use. They the handlebars were bent but zero visible damage. One of them said it was $200 without looking how much the part might be (no idea what part as, again, there was no visible damage) and the other guy said $100. If you do not know what you are doing and are not mechanically savvy DON'T DO IT!! The experience wasn't worth the lasting ego bruising of being ripped off in the end. read more

This was an exceptional experience. Don't waste your time with any other ATV rental place in town (we tried and it was awful). They had four hour waits. The owner (Neil) was incredibly friendly, provided you with helpful instructions, and you get individualized attention unlike places like Torex. We had no way to hitch the ATVs to a trailer so we drove his car and trailer at no extra cost. Cannot recommend enough. The dunes were beautiful but just be very careful. Super helpful staff. Explained the routes and everything really well and and made sure that we completely understood the safety stuff. You do have to tow the ATVs to the site, but it's really close and the car and trailer to tow them are provided for you. The customer service from the employees goes above and beyond. It was fairly priced and the process to get to the dunes was quick and efficient. I loved the experience of riding in the side by side . Unfortunately that did not last long. 20 minutes into the ride the limp mode on the side by side was initiated. We tried to contact the company and realized quickly we had no signal. The side by side temperature indicator light read that it was overheating. We allowed it time to cool , and started heading to the initial staging area in hope of signal so we could call the office. The side by side died 5 to 6 more times until it completely shut off. My husband checked the hoses and radiator which both felt cool to the touch . We noticed a large stream of water hitting the ground and found that there was completely no coolant. We finally reached signal and called right away. The employee put me in touch with josh the owner. I am so thankful my father in law and mother in law had rented a 4 seater and was able to meet him and guide him to us. The owner assured us that the vehicle was just serviced 5 days ago , that this was his best runner ( if this is the best runner I would hate to try average ), why didn't we call sooner . Josh (the owner of atv rentals) confirmed that there was no coolant in the vehicle. And began pouring the coolant he brought. Luckily my father in law seen the fluid was red. Josh accidentally started pouring transmission fluid into the side by side. Luckily we had plenty of water bottles to put into the vehicle so it was not running dry. He reached his employee so we all could meet at the staging area and get actual coolant. Sadly two hours got lost in this ordeal. Not only affecting Our experience but my mother , and father who we couldn't have safely gotten help and the issue resolved without them. I feel so guilty it cut into there time and adventure. We asked josh about the lost time ..... He offered ten extra minutes he swore he would have gave us more time if only it was not already rented out as soon as Our current session ended.The last non stop 10 minutes was amazing. I wish the day started the way it ended. Obstacles happen, but it is how management handles and treats the customers which separates good and bad businesses. We walked away feeling cheated not only for our money but also our time. read more
