There are 2 benches by the play structure and 1 by the swings. However, they also have a palm tree lined "bench" on Golden Lantern side. This area provides some shade, otherwise, not shaded. It's near the ocean though so not very hot. It is gated and small so easy to keep an eye on kids. There are 2 trash cans and no water fountain. Very spacious with lots of things to climb, spin and play on. I love that it has covered seating. There is plenty of grass and a nice trail behind the park to walk or bike. There are also benches scattered throughout. Since it's far from the street you don't really need to worry about small kids running out. The park is small enough to keep an eye on your kids but still has plenty to do.
