When I lived 22 minutes from Ocean City, I used to drive here many times a month for family meals and relaxation. This boardwalk is an EXCELLENT location for family activity. It's a dry town for starters- so there is no weed and no alcohol, which means no beggars. The boardwalk is focused on beachy activities for families and is very, very clean. The food was historically Jersey beach food. I was pleased to see on my recent visit home that the food has expanded to include more Asian and vegetarian varieties while still having all the traditional faves. Definitely recommend.

We come to Ocean City and get a house every year and the boardwalk is obviously the main attraction. The Boardwalk is usually always clean. You don't have issues with trash all over the place or food, throwing all over. There's a nice police presence so you know that there are police officers in the area if you do need them. There's not a lot of riffraff and nonsense going on like at some of the other boardwalks. Tons of places to shop and tons of places to eat, the beach is really clean and it's always a pleasure coming here for the rides or just walk up and down the boardwalk or play a mini golf.

This boardwalk is over 2 mi long. It spans the whole city, North to South. It covers all the amusement centers, the shops, and many restaurants. Toward the Southern part of the boards is a private fishing pier, plus residential homes. If you park at the Northend, on 1st St, just walk/jog or bike ride South. There are restrooms conveniently located on the boards.

The Ocean City Boardwalk is the reason we come to Ocean City every year for the last 50 years. The boardwalk is clean well staffed with Police. The shops are nice. The beaches always clean. You have to have a tag to get on it. This is a dry tone so there is no riffraff the police do a good job of maintaining the family friendly atmosphere. There is something about walking on the boards, smelling the salt air and the candy, there are amusement rides, putt, putt, golfing, shopping, coffee macaroons fudge Shrivers candy there are chains restaurants as well as local. The pizza is second to none. It is wheelchair accessible the music pier always has something going on at 9 o'clock in the morning. They raise the flag and play the national anthem it is the best of America has to offer without the nonsense of Seaside Heights or Wildwood. It is safeand Pleasant

MY HAPPY PLACE :) This March day was for my one year Anniversary with my BIG MAN & love! Ive been an "Ocean City" girl since childhood. Great memories with my grandparents, friends, boyfriends, and when my parents used to rent condos on Central. My favorite places on the boardwalk are: Shriver's Salt Water Taffy (the fudge!) Three Brothers (pizza) Koh's (frozen custard) Ocean City Coffee (divine!!!) KPOP (wings & ramen) The Surf Mall Del's (subs & crab cakes) Ike's (crab quesadilla, tuna bites) Henry's (gorgeous jewelry) I may have forgotten a few. Of course there are a plethora of tee shirt shops and toy stores. Two amusement areas - not our thing. Hermit crabs, mobiles ETC! We park and beach at 9th Street. The Music pier has nice bathrooms. Photo opps galore. Family friendly and just truly, a HAPPY place. Oh, there's a dollar store, which is great for beverages and things you forgot to pack! Go if you've never been, or go again and again like me!

I like the OceanCity Boardwalk, it's clean and there are a ton of restaurants and shops on it. I love that Ocean City is a dry town, you can take your kids there and not be concerned with drunks falling off of barstools on the boardwalk. Think Seaside and Wildwood. There is 2 amusement parks and a water park all within walking distance. Parking can be tight but if you get there early there is some free street parking otherwise paid street and lot parking is available. Unfortunately due to COVID19 many of the shops and restaurants have struggled and closed. There are still a lot of options such as at least 3 Kohrs ice cream shops, candy stores and fun fast food available. The boardwalk is wide enough to keep safe distance. There is a pavilion with bathrooms. Beach badges are required for beach entry, the beach is very narrow in some spots so you may have to search for an open spot away from other beach goers.

"Not very crowded... clean boardwalk... family fun..." We went there on last Easter weekend. it is a clean boardwalk and less crowd might be it was due to the month of April. Ocean city MD boardwalk is more or less same. Park your car at the street side at 11th street nearby to the boardwalk and enjoy the evening. great for friends/families/kids or should I say for all. lots of game parlor/gift shop/ tasty eateries/ try their fries. try their Salt Water Taffy chocolate store. It great. And don't forget $1 store, pic is in my review. they have photo frame, necklaces, show pieces which are definitely $10-15 in other stores, I bought in $1 and that's a great buy. Hit the beach, play with sand. Wet your feet in the ocean. Throughout the boardwalk, benches are there. Sit-walk-relax-repeat.

It was completed in 1933 with wings added in 1970 and 1994. Entrance, guided tours and parking are free (visit webpage: Planning a visit: Delaware General Assembly). Our guide gave a very informative 30-minute tour of the Delaware House of Representatives and Senate chambers. One tidbit of info from the tour: the majority party gets seats closest to the windows. It might be for the better view, better temperature or something totally different. There are series of 10 "Bicentennial Murals" painted by Delaware artist Jack Lewis that span the two chambers. They commemorate the 200th anniversary of Delaware signing the United States Constitution on 12/7/1787. Above the State Senate dais are 3 murals: The Dickinson Plantation (framer of the Constitution); Ratification on the Delaware Constitution; and Caesar Rodney's Ride. Above the State House of Reps dais are 3 murals: Landing of the Swedes (1638); George Washington at New Castle (wedding, 1784), and Old Swedes Church in Wilmington.

Additional wings were added to the building in 1965-1970 and 1994. The building is a Colonial Revival style and is quite similar to the Old Colony House in Newport RI. It is opposite the Old State House on the mall. The original capitol of Delaware was the State House (now known as the Old State House) and is located nearby on The Green. It was originally the Kent County Court House, which shared the building with the state government until 1873 when the Kent County Government relocated. Inside Legislative Hall is the Hall of Governors, which includes portraits of all of Delaware's past governors. There are also a number of other political and military portraits. If you're going to be officially visiting State Capitols as I am, then this is the correct building. This was my 35th on the way to all 50! [Review 11538 overall, 1318 of 2019.]

I'm irresistibly attracted to…read moreobservation decks and old towers, so when I discovered that Philadelphia's City Hall doesn't just offer building tours but also a panoramic Tower Tour from atop its clock tower, I didn't question whether I really NEED to see the bird's eye view of yet another city. Located just a short walk from my hotel and something I can squeeze in before check-out, well that sealed it. The tour is very intimate, as each group maxes out at four people, owing to the tower's narrow dimensions, so you're basically on a private tour. There are plenty of time slots however, as the tour departs every 15 minutes, but booking in advance is highly recommended if not imperative (isn't everything these days!). It is only available Monday-Friday from 10am-2:45pm cos, government building. The experience was wonderful from top to bottom. The ladies in the visitor center were so nice and chatted with us as we waited for the tour to begin, and even gave my kiddo a pair of binoculars which he clutched onto with excitement and didn't put down for the rest of the day. Our guide Kim was genuinely warm, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. She took our photos, kept things interesting, and capped it all off with an awesome list of insidery tips about what to do and see - places I hadn't even known about. I've done several dozen observation towers around the world and they never get old. This one's a departure from the usual glossy skyscraper presentation with a slick immersive elevator ride (in fact the elevator ride's pretty rickety), but if you like history and high places, and the luxury of zero crowds, this is a cool hidden gem.

Philadelphia City Hall has become a must-visit for me whenever I am in the city for running events…read morelike the Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run or the Philadelphia Distance Run. My trips just don't feel complete without stopping by to take in its architecture. I remember the 2022 Broad Street Run vividly, falling in love with the building's design around mile five of the course. Being near it, I must say, it has an astonishing presence. I learned that it was designed by Scottish-born architect John McArthur Jr. and Thomas Ustick Walter in the French Second Empire style, with construction spanning from 1871 to 1901. The exterior tower was completed by 1894, although the interior was not finished until 1901. At the very top stands a 37-foot bronze statue of William Penn, the founder of Philadelphia. At 548 feet, this made it the tallest habitable building in the world from 1894 to 1908. City Hall sits on one of the five original urban park squares laid out by William Penn. Geometrically, it is the center of the other four squares within Center City--an area fittingly renamed Penn Square. If you are planning a trip to Philadelphia, I highly recommend including a walk around this iconic landmark on your itinerary, though it is bound to catch your eye unexpectedly while you are downtown. One of my favorite sculptures on the outer perimeter is of Octavius Catto, a trailblazing civil rights leader, educator, and athlete whose contributions to racial equality in 19th-century America remain profound. ~ Be obsessively grateful ~ Thomas G
