Dr. McDonald may be a five-star doctor based on another post here. I have no way of verifying that…read moreas I was forced to cancel my appointment upon learning that they are a non-participating, out-of-network office! So, I rate the solicitation of patients a definite ONE STAR OR NO STARS! When asked if they accept Medicare, the answer was in unqualified yes. I would, however, have to submit payment for services upon receiving the services. It was explained to me that Medicare would then reimburse me. Upon further inquiry, I discovered, from them, on the day of my appointment, that they were a non-participating, out of network provider! Technically, this means that they DO NOT accept or participate in the Medicare program or any supplement insurance you may have. They were dishonest and devious in their attempt to get me in the office. Legally, they may be guilty of fraud in their current practice of withholding the fact that they are a non-participating, out-of-network office. I canceled my appointment and immediately posted this review to warn other unsuspecting potential patience of their unscrupulous, misinformation about Medicare. Caveat Emptor... let the buyer beware!

Beware if you go to this Dr McDonald. His office staff is extremely rude and they do NOT disclose…read moreup front that they don't work with any insurance companies. Dr MCDonald seems to be fine but not very thorough. Went in for an annual exam (first time with him) and he breezed through very quickly. Exam plus 2 very simple destruction of benign bumps and was charged 377.50 which you need to pay upfront. They then send to your insurance provider which won't pay because (says his office staff only after I madea call questioning) he doesn't work with insurance companies. If they don't work with providers why do they tell you that your insurance will reimburse???? I will not go back!

I had a number of biopsies performed by Dr Ioannides. Some of them indicated cancerous tumors,…read morewhich will require treatment. When I called and asked that the test results be sent to me, I was told that they could not do that. I then said I would drive there and pick up the results. I was told to not bother. They could not provide them to me. I asked to speak with Dr Ioannides and was told that I had to schedule a meeting with him. So I scheduled a meeting to get a copy of the results and speak with the doctor. I discovered that the biopsies performed on my face did not include any type of margin analysis. I was told that biopsies do not include margin analysis, which I already knew was standard procedure. Given the fact that I've had a large number of surgeries on my face, one of my goals was to minimize the number of times I have surgery. I learned that it is possible to get margin analysis with some biopsies, and that margin analysis could in some cases eliminate the need for follow-on surgery. I wanted to better understand these special cases to see if they could apply to me sometime in the future. When I asked the question, "Can biopsies include a margin analysis?", Dr. Ioannides refused to give me a straight answer. Instead, I got a lecture on what a biopsy is. I informed Dr Ioannides that I understood what biopsies were, as well as the different types of them. Dr. Ioannides suddenly decided that he would not follow through with the required surgeries, but insisted that I go to a plastic surgeon instead. I tried to tell him that my facial tumors were going to be treated with radiation from another doctor, and that I did not care about scarring with surgery on the rest of my body. I was working with another doctor and trying to coordinate who was going to do radiation and who was going to do surgery, and which tumors were going to be treated which way. I tried to remind Dr. Ioannides of the current strategy, but he refused to even listen, dictating a new strategy without even discussing it. I abruptly left since he simply was not listening and was refusing to treat me. He followed me out into the hallway and we got into a shouting match. This escalated to the point that Dr Iaonnides stepped up to within an inch of my nose, trying to intimidate me and yelling at me. I refused to back down and yelled back. Obviously, I'll never be going back there again.

I was lucky to get an appointment about…read more1.5 weeks out. shortly after making the appointment, I received a text offering me an earlier appointment about 2 days away! Hooray! So I show up to their office, where they pushed Botox fillers to me at the front counter. I was there for a real medical concern. Got in the exam room, told the nurse my problem, and mentioned I'd like to speak to the doctor about my adult acne as well. The doctor came in for less than 10 minutes, took a quick peak at the cyst, said it was inflamed, not infected and wrote me a prescription. Her assistant put it in the iPad, for 7 days instead of the 10 days doctor had stated twice. Luckily they seemed to get that worked out. She verified my pharmacy and practically pushed me out the door. Never giving me a chance to talk about anything else. I stopped at my pharmacy to pick up my prescription after work, they had not received any prescriptions for me. I called the office, which was closed after 5 until Monday. Great! About 6:30 that night I got a call from advanced dermatology and cosmetics. I was so excited thinking they had gotten my message and were able to send my prescription. But no, it was the scheduling office offering me an earlier appointment than my original scheduled date. She even mentioned they had sent me a text before with a better date. I was fabbergasted! Yes, I got the text, accepted the appointment and had it today. And their doctor failed to send my prescription. This place is a mess, they don't seem to know up from down and can't even finish sending a prescription for their patients. Bit of you want some filler, perhaps then they would give you the time of day. I will never be going back there!
