We hired AA Landscape and Fence to install a Horizontal cedar and steel fence. After our fence was installed, I paid Danny (the owner) in total; however, right after his departure, I realized that the steel gate needed to be installed according to what we had agreed. We had communicated that we wanted a back steel gate, and Danny brought a stainless steel material that we had welded sloppily to the black steel frame. Upon his departure, I called and sent him a picture. Danny said he would be back that Friday to finish the job. However, he did not come. I called again, and he said he would return on Monday but did not show up again. On Tuesday, we got some rain, and the ground shifted. Because Danny did not install the gate properly with a gap to allow for the shifting of the clay soil, the gate no longer functions (see video). I called Danny every day for about two weeks, and the call just went to voicemail every time. Furthermore, while working with Danny and his son, we ran into other issues that I will not elaborate on. However, they were not forthright nor sincere in handling those problems. Having worked with many contractors and undertaken numerous renovations, I have never encountered such unresponsiveness and irresponsibility. I believe in paying for professional service, and I am disappointed that this was not the case with AA Landscape and Fence. I would gladly pay more for a service provider who handles their business professionally and responsibly.
