The people there seem to enjoy their job and it shows. They get to you fast and your seafood is packed great. We also have eaten there and had the best ceviche and some salmon. It was perfect. We usually just buy there and they have an great selection and sometimes they have things that they don't normally have, so go there often. We took home a pound of chopped King Crab, and I think this time we bought lobster cakes. I am not sure, we have had them, but we have also had crab cakes there. They have drinks and a few nice tables for eating. It is just a fantastic place and you will love it.

I EDM so my journey of seeing whether this place was worth checking out or not commenced. As we rolled up the person with me asked if I was certain I wanted to eat here lol. The answer was yes. There is a small parking lot and there was no space inside but as we started to back out, someone in the lot wearing a Goldfish shirt directed us to block the adjacent driveway. Had he not been wearing that shirt, I would not have taken the chance of parking there. There is street parking but it was all taken except closer to the intersection where you're not going to want to park as it's close to skid row. It being the first time there we asked another patron what he had. He gave his recs and advised the plates are big so it's definitely shareable. We decided on the Mixto, which we shared between two of us, and I had to try a fish taco. The mariscos were fresh and the "juice" they come in had just enough of a kick that if you don't want to breathe fire, you will do fine with this dish. I was advised the aguachile dish was way spicier. The blend of octopus, shrimp, tuna and scallops made for a tasty ceviche. The plate comes with tostadas (brand: Silao) and some Tostitos. The tostadas are bomb, which is why I included the brand. I even took a bag home for the late night salty craves. The fish taco was perfectly fried and the chipotle sauce they use complimented the fish flavor perfectly . Definitely recommend you don't pass up getting one or two of these to go with your mariscos. As a note, we brought home a Baja burrito and the person already placed an order for another one next time we go. He couldn't stop raving how great it was. For you drinkers, there is a van outside taking orders for Micheladas they will deliver into the restaurant for you. You're welcome for the tip. This is a small place with adequate seating inside. By the crowd you can tell the place hasn't blown up yet but after this review, I'm sure more foodies will make it out. The staff is amazing and always hustling to get the customer whatever he/she needs. This is also a fish market. I'm not much of a cook so I didn't delve into their offerings but I did see cars roll up for their fresh fish. The website states they will prepare whatever you order for you, i.e., debone your fish. Check out their site for your next big occasion meal. For those of you wondering, they play house music and I was the only one bopping my head. I will definitely be back and ya'll should check this place out for your mariscos fix. Finally, another yummy in my tummy review (it's been a minute since I was able to say this).

Due to packed weekend schedule, I was out looking for something to eat. In Koreatown, that…read moreshouldn't be an issue but when your craving something to grab and go, the options are quite limited. I have been eyeing Yama for quite a while and this past Monday, I was able to find the time to go! Yama Sushi Marketplace reminds of stepping into a Japanese Grocery store. Snacks lined the center of the store, while hot food, pre-packed sushi line the wall. There is also a traditional counter on the right for sashimi and fresh fish cuts. Let's talk food, I got some assorted Nigiri ($11), Salmon Nigiri ($11), some 2 packs of Chicken Yakitori 2 Skewers per pack ($4/pack), tea, and soda. It all came out to $40. Though I don't normally like to pay that much for lunch, I didn't regret it one bit. The sushi tasted so good and fresh, while the skewers were hot and meat tender. Paired with the soda it make my lunch such a nice treat. Parking can be found for free in the facility located in the back and underground. When I visited, there was a lot of parking so no issues there. If you would like to eat there, there are some small tables set up outside for you to enjoy your food. I will definitely come back again as they do have bento options, which after this last visit makes me want to be a regular. Cheers!

Similar to other Asian market set ups you'll be able to pick up hot food and other items like sashimi as well as other Japanese snacks and goodies. I also happened to pick up some good protein shakes on sale there as well as noted some other staples that I would find in big chain supermarkets. I found the aisles to be well stocked. Prices everywhere are going up so I wouldn't say this is the cheapest place to shop but for what you get it's not bad, and if you are looking to get a variety of what you need for Asian cooking this is a good spot for it. Service was quick and friendly at the register as this no frills and casual market. There is a parking garage behind the grocery as part of the mall but it can get crowded on weekends so if you're lucky you can find street parking but watch for street signs and some areas and streets are not in the best neighborhoods adjacent so be wary of your surroundings.
