I know excellent service when I experience it. This review is for the exceptional service I received when using Atlantic Marble & Granite, in Falmouth. We were doing a very needed remolding of our kitchen after over 35 years of use. During the remodel, I contacted three countertop companies and visited each one of them. From the three quotes, I received the best price from Atlantic. Not only did I get follow up with them on their quote, one of the companies never followed up with us at all. That made my decision easier. We met with a very lovely person at Atlantic, Bella, short for Izabella, and she was amazing from the start. She was knowledgeable and very patient as she helped us pick out the perfect color. We gave her all of the measurements and she took it from there. Within just a short time, they were out doing a template and a week later, the counter was ready to be installed. Unfortunately, because of issues with our cabinet makers, they had to hold it for 3 weeks. No problem they said. When the time came, they came out installing our new quartz counter. They were very courteous and professional. I was amazed the counter fit like a glove, especially where it had a jog in it and they were able manufacture it with no seam. We were very happy and the new counter looks amazing. If you ever need any type of marble, granite, quartz work, I would strongly advise you to check them out. I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Tell them Jack sent you and Bella I said hello.

Maria was extremely helpful and patient with me as I struggled to make up my mind. She was careful not to overwhelm me with too many choices and even suggested a slab which was in stock which saved us some time & money. I really appreciated the template process they used. I was able to see what the counter flow would look like before they cut the slab. Most importantly, they removed the old countertop on installation day! Crew did an excellent job with the installation. It looks even better than we had hoped. We're very pleased!

I am not kidding when I say that it is "As good as it gets!" Edan Dyan owner of Plymouth Rock…read moreKitchens is by far the best kitchen designer/contractor/business owner I have ever dealt with. I am constantly doing something to improve my home and have hired many people from Provincetown to Boston to do work for me. No one quite compares to this man. He is great to work with and his expertise is amazing. Right down to the smallest detail. I am shopper. I shop around and I do my homework. I met with several kitchen designers for this project and I am so glad I decided to go with Plymouth Rock Kitchens. I'll tell you a little secret. I had worked with Edan on another kitchen project in the main house several years ago when he was with another company. He was as amazing then as he is now. He had left that company but I was not sure where he was, so I googled his name when this next kitchen project was born. That is when I found Plymouth Rock. I live in Truro so it's a stretch but so, so worth it. This time we did a small kitchen in my in-law apartment that was rather outdated. Edan turned that drab kitchen in to something that is not only functional but is beautiful and still keeps the theme of the rest of the small apartment. The manufacturers he works with are top notch, yet very affordable and he does his best to give you the most for your money. I could go on forever. He is informative, knowledgeable, and creative. He always is in touch with subcontractors, on the job and making sure that everything if going perfectly. I was working the whole time they were there and I never had to ask them to check on anything. It was done. His attention to detail is exemplary. We have similar taste so it was fun to work with him and it was like he knew what I wanted before I could even tell him. Just remarkable. So the moral to my story is, if you want the best this is the only place to go. If you're on Cape, go over that Bridge straight to beautiful downtown Plymouth and you find Edan in his gorgeous showroom working very hard to make your dreams come true.

I was in need of a small piece of Carrera marble for a restored antique drinks cart which I was giving my wife for her birthday. It had been in her family for generations. I had been working with a marble and granite company in Waltham for months and at the last minute they doubled the price and extended the delivery deadline. I had also received universally poor experiences with several other fabricators in and around Newton, Watertown and Waltham and held out no hope that I would find any company in the business that was different. I called Stone Depot and spoke with Cynthia. Wow, what a difference. She was helpful and responsive and immediately sent me pictures of the Carrera marble slabs they had in stock. Her price was 2/3rds that of everyone else's, and she promised to have it fabricated in under a week. I drove down there, and we agreed together on the piece they would cut. 3 days later it was done and ready for pickup. She had pushed it through because of the fact that it was for my wife's birthday. I cannot recommend Stone Depot in Dedham enough. Cynthia is amazing and the team did a fabulous job delivering ahead of time. If you want to work with a company that is a delight, fabricates a fantastic product, and over-delivers on their promises then you should check Stone Depot out. You won't regret it.

Review of Michael J. Kenny, Builder [WARNING: DEALING WITH…read moreMIKE KENNY IS AN EXTREME RISK. READ THIS CAREFULLY.] I hired Mike Kenny in June of 2024 to replace siding and trim on the front end of my house. The project was to be complete in 11 weeks and cost $95,500 (as adjusted for change orders). The project ended up COSTING $128,000 AND TOOK ALMOST SIX MONTHS (24 WEEKS) TO COMPLETE. Mike Kenny repeatedly insisted the project was on time and within budget but the accounting indicated it was not. Then I learned that he pocketed a $3,000 down payment I had given him earlier in the project for a supplier. When I confronted him with this information he threatened me and then walked off the job. Ultimately he misappropriated another $2,000 earmarked for the project. Outraged, I filed an arbitration action against Mike Kenny (Case # 01-25-0000-4328) with the American Arbitration Association in January of 2024. A Hearing was finally held and the Hearing was transcribed. By letter dated August 25, 2025, the Arbitrator held Mike Kenny liable to pay me $32,300 in damages which included delay damages along with all Arbitration costs and court fees. Mr. Kenny is evading this obligation. In the course of my pursuit of the Arbitration I did some research and found 4 other homeowners in the past 5 years who had disastrous results with Mike Kenny. The sad truth is that these appear to be ALL of the significant projects Mike Kenny had over the past 5 years. Most of the complaints are similar to mine: that Mike Kenny grossly underbid the project, that he lied repeatedly, the project was hopelessly late, costs ran wildly out of control, that he failed to pay some of his subcontractors, that he takes responsibility for nothing, and that he can become belligerent and even threatening when caught doing something unethical. Several alleged criminal behavior (e.g. forging of signatures, misappropriation of funds). Sadly, my damages (a little over $30,000) were mild compared to others whose damages exceeded $100,000 with their projects being more than a year late. On 4 of his 5 significant projects over the past 5 years, Mike Kenny vanished before completing the job. He is also the Defendant in a lawsuit by a homeowner seeking $300,000 plus treble damages, alleging breach of contract, misappropriation of funds, as well as unfair and deceptive business practices (under Chapter 93A). That lawsuit (Case # 2472CV00108) was filed on March 14, 2023 in the Superior Court of Barnstable County, Cape Code, Massachusetts. Needless to say, Mike Kenny never told me or anyone about this when I hired him to do the project on my home. Mike Kenny has had 4 addresses over the past 4 years. He does not have any construction licenses. He has no employees. He is a Construction Manager who does all of his work via subcontractors. Most of his traditional subcontractors and suppliers consider him a con man and won't work with him anyone. Neither should you. Mike Kenny indicated to me once that he was in the process of "shoring up" his online reviews. I believe that accounts for most of the obviously concocted positive reviews about him. The red flag is that the concocted reviews contain no verifiable positive information. Feel free to comment on this posting.
