Stay clear of this snake! They are by far the worst out there. Chris will promise you the world and after you give him a check everything goes down hill. He blames everything on his employees and they blame everything on him. They completely destroyed our back yard and our pool. Good luck getting Chris to return a phone call. Fantastic experience. We bought a house during the pandemic lockdowns and didn't get a pool inspection - turned out to have a massive leak and it was a disaster. Had to do an urgent gut renovation -- Shoreline Pools (Chris) was fantastic -- they told us what needed to be done exactly, gave us an estimate very quickly and finished a massive amount of work in 18 days in the middle of summer, 2 days earlier than estimated schedule. Now we have a gorgeous and functional pool. The guys were very hardworking and put in quality materials. They worked together as a team incredibly well - different specialties throughout the process, it was amazing to watch. Though I hope we don't need to do it again, I would trust them to get anything done with regard to pools in a heartbeat! read more

Tatal hacks! They resurfaced my pool 4 times in 4 years. The first was after they built it, It showed 2 large cracks within a month, the Shoreline guy poured several gallons acid to clean and dissolved the plaster ruined the pumps and pitted all stainless. My wife asked him how he knows how much, he said I JUST KNOW! What a joke this company is! Im a 20 year mason and can spot hacks a mile away, no attention to detail at all! I did my coping and deck myself. So they resurfaced it in late November, I ran the pump 24 hrs a day so it wouldn't freeze. They closed the pool 30+ days later, it froze and cracked over the winter. The next year they started chipping Memorial Day weekend, chipped all weekend, then didn't show back up for 2 weeks to finish chipping, another 2 weeks to plaster again. 3 days later they turned the pump on, 5 minutes later the water was green! When they closed the pool, they didn't clean the filters. The acid guy came back, cleared the water, then the brand-new plaster started coming off, it looked like a snow globe! Chris said the next time he offered pebbletech finish for my troubles, I went for it and regretted it as soon as they put the water in. White blotches and dark streaks everywhere! The washes it with acid right away instead of waiting the 24 hrs the recommend. I find out they are not even authorized pebbletech installers. The hacks at Affordable Pools the build their pools are not either. So its an off brand, not pebbletech. I tried to get him back to look at the pool surface, I got crickets!! Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere! read more

The pool nearly DOUBLED the rental income this summer and pays for itself. The owner, Chris Dittrich, is the most responsive and hard working guy I've met.  Chris, along with his outstanding project manager Jay Sorgman, finished ahead of schedule and within budget so the heated pool and hot tub was ready for my spring and summer renters.   I could swim in it all day and my kids love it! read more

I can not say enough GREAT things about Shoreline. I have completed 3 different projects with Shoreline in the past 10 years from Simple pool work to a major Backyard Upgrade with each project Outstanding. The last project with a full renovation of my pool, decking adding outdoor kitchen and firepit and new hot tub was an amazing transformation. The increased value of my property far exceeded the cost of the renovation. My backyard has the look of a 5 STAR Resort. It could not have been done any better. They came in with costs as promised and finished within the expected timeline. I would highly recommend using them. I continue to use them for my weekly pool maintenance as well. I have had a pool for 18 years and switched to Shoreline Pools a few years ago. John Hinkle services my pool and he is fantastic. He has the caretaker system running perfectly, he tells me if he is concerned about anything and then addresses it honestly. I give John the highest marks! The office staff and Justin are always polite and responsive. My only comment is that if you have a complicated system, as I do, it is essential that you use the same technician who understands the quirkiness that could exist. After many years as a customer I am so over Shoreline Pools. There used to be a person there I could deal with and was very polite and did not treat me like I was stupid. His name is Jamie, however, I am not even sure if he is there anymore because you have to go through Justin, who is the rudest customer service person I have ever dealt with. When I ask for Jamie I can never get to speak to him. Maybe its because I am in Truro and they just don't want to come down here, but I have been calling with a serious salt system problem for two weeks and have spoken to like an imbecile on the phone and still no one has come down to take care of the problem. I am DONE with this company. How they stay in business is beyond me. read more

Shoreline built our pool beautiful 32x16 ft salt water pool in 2013. We have them open and close it every season, as well as perform weekly maintenance checks. Shoreline Pools came to my home to fix a leak in my gunite pool. It was obvious from the start that the workers had no idea what they were doing. They broke open the cement in 2 places for my jacuzzi and when they sealed it back up & the cemented area was not flat so they returned to fix it. The white rubber drainage border was not replaced properly and was sticking up so they had to redo this as well. After this I asked to close the pool for the season and unfortunately had to travel away and trusted them to complete the job. When I returned 3 weeks later my pool was filthy, with green slime as thick as pea soup! When I called they said that this is normal. I've had pool companies service my pool for the past 25 years and NEVER has it been in this shape! I had a contractor measuring to fix my windows and he was in my pool area 3 days after they closed it and he told me it was green and thick with algae, and imagine, 3 days after they supposedly closed it! So it was obvious that they did not use chemicals or even bother to clean or close the pool, charged me for it! So I had 2 pool companies come to see this work. When they tested the pool there was absolutely no chemicals in it! The covers for my 2 main drains were missing and no where to be found. When I called Shoreline, they told me they broke! But no one informed me of this! They went on to say that the covers were old! I responded in shock because they broke BOTH covers? In all the years I've had my pool serviced no one has broken 1 cover...but they broke 2!! I normally don't leave water in the pool but Shoreline told me that I needed to keep water in the pool so that the Hydrostatic value would stay closed. But when the other pool company came to see their work they were shocked that they plugged the main drain where this valve is. If this leak was in fact fixed, there would be no reason to plug it. Shoreline left water in the main drain of my pool pipes in my basement which could freeze in the winter causing extreme damage to my basement. Over and above this they failed to shut off the electrical panel for my pumps...something that ALL pool companies do in case of a power surge. I found cement thrown in my backyard with food litter and some of it even was strewn into property belonging to my association neighborhood! I now have to hire another pool company to pump out the green slime, clean the pool and close it properly. They even doubt that any of these leaks were fixed, as this is something I will find out next year when I open the pool! Every time Shoreline workers came into my basement they would leave the lights and and the door unlocked. I usually go away in the winter, and I'm fortunate that I didn't this year, because I can only imagine what I would have found with my basement door unlocked for the winter and the lights on for months! I have taken many photos of the way they left my pool, and a photo of the cement debris in my backyard too! I have witnesses that saw all this mess as well and they are disgusted! This is not a pool company I would recommend, needless to say! read more
