Strap hangers who need the D train are then forced to take the D train going towards Manhattan to their desired stop. Upon arriving at Coney Island Stillwell Avenue, this train stalled for ten minutes due to so-called "signal problem" to become sitting ducks. Aggravating and total frustration for a complete waste of time travel!!! However, at the 18th Avenue station there are two beautiful lighted glass art on the wall.

On the return ferry to Pier 6 (around 5-6 PM), the worker responsible for ushering passengers on and off was extremely rude and unprofessional. He was yelling at passengers, including families with young kids, and went so far as to separate children from their parents simply because the kids had bicycles and the parents didn't. Watching small children being forced away from their families was stressful and upsetting for everyone nearby. Instead of calmly explaining procedures or ensuring safety, the staff member barked orders and treated riders with disrespect. Governors Island is supposed to be a fun and family-friendly destination, but this kind of treatment is unacceptable. Families should never feel unsafe or disrespected when taking public transportation, and staff should be trained to handle passengers with patience and care, not hostility. I hope management takes this seriously and trains their ferry staff better. Until then, I would warn anyone with kids to be prepared for a very negative and unsettling ferry experience.

I had never been there before, it was a nice day, it was a nominal fee if my recollection serves me right, I decided it was something to do. So we boarded the boat and set sail, it was a relatively short trip and we got about 50 minutes until the next back to Brooklyn. I got to walk around, eat at good food truck , view some sights, take some pictures, and learn some history all in I didn't have the luxury of going back this past summer, but hopefully next summer I can make my way back there.

Swimming is strongly discouraged and downright dangerous. One can easily view the Quester 1 located in the middle of Coney Island Creek from Kaiser Park or Calvert Vaux Park. The Quester 1 makes for great photos for photographers and a well known site for drone operators to snap pics. Great landmark for kayakers to get up and personal as well. It's history is amazing considering it was all home built. More information on this can be found at the Coney Island History Project's webpage. For decades it has been Coney Island's very own"Roadside attraction", with very few even knowing of it's existence. It's free and the hours are 24/7 for viewing. Pet friendly.

Ounce i get on the Q train in 42 street the trains go at a fast paste. Ounce it passes Canal Street forget about it the trains go super slow which makes no sense. I do enjoy one thing and that's looking at all the graffiti and art work on the concrete walls. One thing i do like about taking this train is that its always empty. It's a train station, nothing fancy…read more The F train used to take a while to come, so when you missed one you're screwed if you're running late. But lately the F train has been coming more often. Which is good since that means I don't have to always run for the train. Currently they are working and trying to renew some stuff on the station as well. The station is also pretty decent, not super dirty or anything. The F train is one of the many trains that I take to go to school and work.
