In true resort fashion, there are many amenities on site including dining, spa, leisure, indoor pool, etc. There's even a coffee shop, souvenir shop, and arcade on site. The indoor pool is perfect for non-beach goers and those simply wanting to enjoy the relaxation of indoor swimming. The pool is located at The Atrium where there is an indoor tiki bar and mini arcade. During my stay there was a live band performing in The Atrium which livened an otherwise gloomy beach day. Right outside the beachside entrance to the pool is a bar and grill. You can walk out to the beach from The Atrium. There's a beach service available to rent chair, umbrellas, and cabanas. Multiple payment options are available. The suites overlooking The Atrium offer a great view of the pool, bars, and the floor to ceiling glass giving open sight lines to the beach. The room accommodations were very good. Very clean and spacious. There is parking on site in two areas: connected to the hotel, and across from the main entrance. It can be a nightmare to find convenient parking during the summer after hours. I found myself returning to the hotel shortly after dusk every day just to get a parking spot near the hotel entrance without having to park on the top level in the garage. During my stay, the parking lot connected to the hotel seemed to also be a storage space for the hotel, making for tight spaces in some areas. Nevertheless, on site parking is always a plus. My husband,…read moreour 2-year-old daughter, and I booked the King Ocean Level Cabana Suite (Room 114) for our honeymoon, paying over $3,800 for the week. We expected a clean, resort-quality experience. Instead, we found hair on our towels and in the shower, mold and water damage throughout the hallways, and a TV that didn't work for our entire stay despite maintenance coming to "fix" it. Things only got worse. We scheduled housekeeping around our toddler's nap, but they ignored the requested time and entered our room anyway after my husband specifically told them not to because our daughter was sleeping. They woke her up, disrupting the rest of our day. After housekeeping, our room developed a horrible odor that became so strong it made my throat hurt. Management agreed there was an issue and moved us to another room, forcing us to pack everything and relocate at 9 p.m., losing the convenience we specifically paid extra for. That night I became very ill and was diagnosed with strep throat the next morning. I can't say the two are related, but the overall cleanliness of this property was unacceptable. We decided to check out early after management agreed to refund $1,831.18. Days later, the full charge had posted to my credit card with no refund in sight. When my husband called, the front desk manager was dismissive and unprofessional. To top it off, I emailed before our stay asking about honeymoon upgrade options and never even received a response. This property is poorly managed, poorly maintained, and not worth the premium price. We will never return.

The beach, restaurants, shops, and everything you need are right there. We stayed in a beachfront condo on the 15th floor. The view was absolutely incredible and made waking up every morning worth it. The only downside was that there are only two elevators for the condos, so there could be a wait during busy times. Was there some sand on the carpet? Yes-but you're staying at the beach, so that's to be expected. The hotel is definitely showing its age, but it was clean enough for us, and every employee we interacted with was friendly, kind, and accommodating. We also appreciated that towels were available at both the indoor and outdoor pools, and having the indoor ice skating rink was a fun bonus, especially for families. If you're looking for a luxury, newly renovated resort, this probably isn't it. Also it's a drive to the boardwalk. But if you want an affordable beachfront stay in a fantastic location with great views and friendly staff, the Carousel is absolutely worth considering. We'd stay again.

Mattresses that were thin and stained. One very thin comforter and flat old pillows. Heat barely working. Door kept getting stuck. Someone's hair in the tub and on the bathroom walls. The dining - A very sticky restaurant with an expensive and barely cooked limited buffet for breakfast. Dinner options were passable bar food. The atrium - great for kids but it's essentially a giant chuck-e-cheese experience with quiet hours not starting until 11pm so screaming yelling running sugar loaded kids with no supervision playing arcade games and ice hockey was status quo. The indoor pool - unheated even in winter, and a lovely swamp color. Fun bonus - some sort of malfunction with the fire system had water pouring down the elevator shaft and all over the atrium for half an hour with alarms blaring one evening. Added to that lovely musty atmosphere. All in all I would highly advise this as a pass.

We had a great view of the pool, the bay, and fagers island. But our bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable. We basically had zero water pressure in the shower and it turned cold fast. When we arrived the floor was kinda dirty but manageable. I am convinced the AC in our room didn't work because every time we tried to turn it down or turn the fan on we couldn't hear or feel it. The elevators were sort of scary as someone who is not scared of anything. We had an amazing time but it was sooo hot in our room. Would not have survived without the fan in the closet.

We wore glad the room had a refrigerator and a two burner cooktop so we could cook in the room. Many of the restaurants in town were closed since we were here in March and their season has not started and Covid has closed many businesses in the off season. We enjoyed the resort and they followed Covid guidelines. Masks are mandatory when inside the building for everyone's safety. Maryland residents must limit travel to essential purposes. People entering Maryland must self-quarantine for 10 days or obtain a negative COVID-19 test result. People arriving from Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia are exempt.
