She was an angel for Kim who had a scary surgery planned and as her ride home I called and spoke with Dorothy who brought her out in person and brightened our day. I would give Dorothy 5 stars, giving 3 because of the overall hospital expeirence Ive had here over the years. Dorothy brought you from 1 to 3 stars for her awesomeness. More people like her should work in hosptials.

This is an indictment of a deeply flawed medical system. That being said, I first went to the ER at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI. It wasn't life or death, but I was having trouble getting a new PCP and I didn't know what else to do. I had had diarrhea for more than a week, and I was worried that it might be sepsis; I had been in the hospital with sepsis for four days years before and had initially brushed it off as a bad cold. I was given a cbc blood test. and fluids. and advised to follow up with a GI who turned out to be unavailable, as well as a recommendation for a fodmap diet and probiotics. Other than being unable to see a gastroenterologist, everything seemed fine. However, I had bitten my tongue and lip repeatedly on my job, which I thought would heal on its own. I really don't like to visit doctor's offices or hospitals. When it seemed that my wound was getting worse instead of better, I went back to the ER to have it looked at. I was given a couple of prescriptions and sent home. One or two days later I noticed my tongue was swollen. Talking was painful, as well as eating and drinking. I was given an antibiotic and a shot of cortisol for the swelling as well as an anti-inflammatory. I also had a lot of canker sores which was making eating, drinking, and speaking painful. The steroid injection caused me to start having sharp pains in my mouth and throat which I am still having, plus I have noticed something that may be acid reflux. I've probably had it before, but not this bad. The acid keeps my mouth from healing and I can't see a doctor for it because I no longer have insurance. Again, I don't want to demonize the hospital staff. Our healthcare system needs to be restructured so that it functions as a vital service rather than a corporation.

The Doc listens to your concerns and develops a plan. After really a thorough battery of test another consultation, the plan is explained in detail. I am now down 89 pounds. I am no longer on blood pressure medicine and my a1c numbers have dropped significantly. I feel stronger and have a lot more energy. I go to IM as a supplement to my family physician as cookie cutter medicine did not have the answers I needed. My primary care physician was impressed with the testing that Dr. Petteruti performed and really impressed with the results. So much so that I only need to see her once a year. One issue I had that IM's testing showed was a high level of heavy metals. As my career was spent in manufacturing, that is not surprising. The chelation IV drips are addressing that issue. Upon walking in, the secretary was extremely friendly and helpful. They squeezed me into a same-day appointment due to getting something in my eye that wouldn't come out (ouch!). I waited about 40 minutes to be seen which was a tad frustrating but once the doctor came in, I felt at ease as he was extremely friendly, warm and very helpful. He helped my poor eye and went the extra mile by giving me an eye exam (my current script expired literally that day) afterwards. After fixing my eye, I went into the optical store attached to the office and was greeted by a friendly and also super helpful woman who struck up some fun conversation and helped me decide on the right pair. I had an all around great experience here and would highly recommend to anyone who needs eye care.

Because of a very busy work and travel schedule, I was delayed in picking them up. When I finally went to the office to get my glasses, I was shocked to be told that they had already been sent back to the lab -- and that I would not receive a refund. I never cancelled my order or indicated that I did not want the glasses. I simply had not yet picked them up. I also do not recall being provided with any written policy stating that my fully paid-for glasses would be returned after a certain period of time and that I would then lose both the glasses and the money I paid for them. I asked for someone to contact me about this and, as of writing this review, no one has called me. I would completely understand a policy stating that custom prescription glasses cannot be returned for a refund after a customer receives them. What I do not understand is how a customer can pay for glasses, the business can send those glasses back before the customer picks them up, and the customer is then left with neither the glasses nor a refund. I am hoping someone from Koch Eye will contact me and resolve this. At a minimum, I would like the glasses I paid for to be provided to me or my payment refunded.

I found Dr. Swineford after having an awful experience with another local Dr. after a Cheilectomy…read moresurgery. Dr. Swineford's office was a kind enough to take me on as a patient even though I was in post op from another office and I couldn't be more grateful because I was seriously thinking of taking my own stitches out if the previous Dr was my only choice. Immediately upon arriving I noticed a huge difference in atmosphere of the office, the front office staff and medical assistant were pleasant and welcoming. Dr. Swineford himself was accepting and kind. I especially liked that fact that he was very willing to share his knowledge and gave me detailed explanation of things, I learned more about the surgery and recovery in one post op appointment with Dr. Swineford than I did the whole time with the other. I highly recommend Dr. Swineford to anyone in need of his services if you want someone truly knowledgable with a good bedside manner.

Terrible, unethical doctor. AVOID. Right after we met in the patient room, before he even examined…read moreme, he tried to push surgery on me. When I asked if there were other ways to fix my problem, he laughed at me. Eventually he agreed to send me out for further testing. Once the results came back normal, he never even followed up to tell me. I had to seek out the results myself from the hospital. Clearly, since the results were normal and he couldn't try to con me into surgery, I was no longer of use or value to him. I saw many elderly people in the waiting room and I'm writing this out of concern for others who may think that every doctor has their best interests at heart. Not the case here!
