Finally, Monday came and the receptionist Isabella was able to squeeze me in that same day. Dr. Skoly and his staff were so attentive, polite and extremely helpful. I am eternally grateful for Dr. Skoly and his staff. It's been 1 day since they removed my wisdom tooth and I feel a BIG difference. I'm now able to talk, eat, basically open my mouth without it causing me pain. I will be recommending everyone I know to this practice. -My health insurance didn't cover this so I paid $325 out of pocket -I needed a referral to see Dr. Skoly so I was quickly able to obtain that from my dentist and the receptionist Isabella at Dr Skoly's office was able to squeeze me in a couple hours after I got the referral.

I am glad that I have found him for my extensive oral surgery needs. The office personnel and staff are awesome and really helpful in settling my anxiety. They are friendly and supportive and professional. This was my 1st visit for a consultation and treatment plan. I had an appointment in a day to take a look, ex-ray and so on. I was given an appointment for the next day for a not so easy extraction. The extraction was easy for Dr. Elson though! More recently, I was told they accepted my new insurance, had work done, and was later charged $500 because they "never accepted" it--despite admitting they knew that beforehand. They told me I was out of luck and that they don't work with my insurance because situations like this happen. While I was inquiring about the pricing, a woman named Carrie proceeded to berate me in the most condescending tone, telling me I came in for an emergency visit. The receptionist was very rude & acted like I was bothering her. Every time the phone rang she complained quite loudly that she was the "ONLY" person working (despite about 5 other ladies behind her). She kept questioning me over and over again about what procedures I needed. When I repeated what my dentist had told me I needed, she called my dentist's office to confirm. I suggested that I assumed the Endodontist would also exam my situation and either confirm what the dentist had said or suggest something else, she pretty much bit my head off saying there was only one Endodontist on duty and he didn't have time for that. I either knew what I wanted or didn't. She told me that the next available appt was a week out and if I didn't like the day/time then it would be over a month's wait. I took the appointment but left feeling so awful. I was already in so much pain and then to be treated like that on top of it just made everything worse. I tried calling Ocean State to cancel my original appt - no one would answer the phone. I reached out through their website's "contact us" and simply got an email saying "Your all set and canceled appt." Honestly, if they are that busy that a little bit of kindness isn't offered and I couldn't depend on the doctor taking doing some due diligence to confirm the treatment plan...then I felt like I would have been in & out like on a factory conveyor belt and probably worse off afterwards. I called my dentist for a different referral and then called RI Endodontics in Warwick. I was treated so kindly on the phone. The receptionist was so compassionate and got me in the next business day. I was treated so kind and gently. I felt genuinely cared for.
