Someone outside was joking about possible reasons they were doing it, but I assume it is the recent surge in Covid. At least I think he was joking. Because of the success of vaccines and Paxlovid in slowing down the spread and reducing its impacts, I think some people believe Covid is finished rather than that it is now like flu strains. Anyway, the wait outside the store was short. I tend to shop more closely in the Home Goods section rather then in the clothing, unless there is something in particular I am looking for. They sometimes have surprising items for sale, such as the time we found our brand of decaf coffee at a great price. The variety of decaf available at warehouse stores can be pretty limited, but if you have a Kurig you are made in the shade. They must sell a lot more of it and make more profit. So i don't shop at TJ Maxx regularly but I like stopping in occasionally to see what they have at that particular moment. It helps me miss Zayre's less from when I went to the Broadway Shopping Center decades ago now.

It's nice because it's a one stop shop for everything we need and at a good rate. Plenty of parking. And it's easy to get help from employees. However the first time I came here I was wearing a hat very special to me and it fell off. I went back and wandered the same aisles to recover it but it was gone. Lost and found didn't have it. Employees didn't seem to care enough to call and ask in the radio if someone picked it up. I left very sad. Second time I came here I had bought groceries. Unfortunately they only sell five pound chicken. I only wanted a pound for the night. But I got it anyways. I wasn't even out of the parking lot before a dog ate it all. Then I had to go back and waste another $10ish to buy another one.

The blue lights in the bathroom made me feel as though I entered a different (wrong) dimension which soon made sense as once I saw the toilet I immediately gasped as there was a mufkin parasite on the seat! So I went to the other stall and there were deuce splatters everywhere so I had to go back to the bug stall and move the parasite all while trying so hard not to actually throw up. I have never been so traumatized using a Shaws bathroom before. I felt filthy just standing in there and got out as fast as possible.

Gerald is…read morean absolutely amazing person who has a ton of passion and dedication to his store and personal collection. He is very helpful and friendly, talking to him about Stephen King was phenomenal. With his detailed and wide range of knowledge of the author and novels, you will learn much more than you thought. Though a lot of the rare books (many are autographed and/or first edition, some in other languages) were out of our price range (no complaints, it's totally understandable), we still made sure to buy a couple of cheaper books and trinkets. If you do stop by, pick up something to help the store because you don't find shops like this very often. I will definitely come back!
