I have been to this branch of the chain a few times and have no complaints. The last time I was there about a week ago they were limiting the number of people in the store. Someone outside was joking about possible reasons they were doing it, but I assume it is the recent surge in Covid. At least I think he was joking. Because of the success of vaccines and Paxlovid in slowing down the spread and reducing its impacts, I think some people believe Covid is finished rather than that it is now like flu strains. Anyway, the wait outside the store was short. I tend to shop more closely in the Home Goods section rather then in the clothing, unless there is something in particular I am looking for. They sometimes have surprising items for sale, such as the time we found our brand of decaf coffee at a great price. The variety of decaf available at warehouse stores can be pretty limited, but if you have a Kurig you are made in the shade. They must sell a lot more of it and make more profit. So i don't shop at TJ Maxx regularly but I like stopping in occasionally to see what they have at that particular moment. It helps me miss Zayre's less from when I went to the Broadway Shopping Center decades ago now. read more

This location of TJM is large and well-kept. There can be a lot of variability in this chain but I always enjoy shopping this particular store. read more

I love this store. A TJMaxx and Homegoods combined is my kryptonite. You can always count on this store to be in pristine condition and for prices to be fair and reasonable. The homegoods section has an incredible grocery section for speciality foods (snacks, cooking oils, chocolates, coffees and teas) and a great assortment of ever changing furniture pieces. There is something here for everyone from your children to your pets. I love the seasonal items and the sales that come afterwards. TJMaxx has clothes for all occasions and sizes. Odds are you'll find what you were looking for and more. Great customer service as well! read more

The store itself is quite nice. Your prices are very reasonable. However, certain employees, one who's name is Mitzi, and another who's name is Tina are both very, very unpleasant people. I have had unpleasant interactions with both of them. On top of that, I assume they are in some level of management because I have also witnessed them being straight up abusive to other employees in the way they speak to them. So I assume they are management. This does not reflect well on your company. I often see that employees seem dejected and frustrated most likely due to the presence of this type of attitude...You sell such a great variety unique products, but after these repeatedly negative experiences due to these two people, I'm considering no longer being a customer. I would suggest getting rid of these awful personalities and make your business a place we all want to shop. read more

Love TJ Maxx, the Bangor store is not my favorite one, but I am giving it 5 stars because one of their employees, Sophia, was sooooo nice and soooo helpful I have never had a better shopping experience!! read more
