I am the Committee Chair for a convention next month, and one of the participation activities for the conventioneers will be assembling kits to donate to a Boston charity for children in need. We are set on the school supply side, but we are still a little short on the socks and underwear side for 50 boys and girls. So, when I saw a "15% off" email from Ollie's, it seemed like a divine sign to make a pilgrimage to the new Ollie's in Newington. And guess what we found? On each piece of furniture there is a QR code to help calculate delivery fees and the service that provides it. Unfortunately I could not use the QR code because there is no Wi-Fi available in the store. I was told it was due to too many people filming influencers, and those taking photos to resell items. When I went outside to see if I could calculate the shipping and delivery cost, with the Q r code, I still wasn't able to do it. And left without furniture. My main reason for going. When I asked for help from other people who worked at the store, unfortunately they just said sorry and that was it. It's a shame. They really did have some really unusual pieces.

The customer service is amazing and the girls that work here are just awesome. They always have a bright smiling personality and are always so kind and helpful. The worker stated it was plugged in and had heated up quick. This turned out to be far from the truth. the parts were rusted and dirty and while the item turns on it doesn't heat up or work. The manager did refund my money however I spent a total of three hours traveling there and back. I can say be careful before going here as you may not get exactly what you pay for.

Well, here you get to get a second pick of those pallets. The inside is very much a hodgepodge of broken boxes and random items. To entice others, they leave a few items of reasonable cost stuck in the detritus of shelves, they also hide a premium table in the middle of the store where you get to fight a mob of fellow shoppers for some of the picks of the litter. It's entertaining in a thrift store with fomo mentality. Some items are worth the splurge, but most are very random specialty parts of questionable quality or weird and funky items you never really knew existed. Give it a try if you're brave, but temper expectations. It can be a random waste of a couple hours, but sometimes you find the diamond in the rough, and getting the bargain can be a win as well
