The new owners do not clean after a previous owner, there was a terrible mice problem. The new owners live like 3 hours away, they have nobody there if a problem arises, so, you would have to wait 3 hours for them to come. Atleast Anna kept it very clean and she was always there if there was a problem. We will miss Anna and going there, but, The new owners have also really raised the prices. This was our go to place for 15 yrs.

Terrible management, shoddy maintenance, and false pretenses…read more The short version - some units were renovated, others are outdated, in shambles and falling apart. The state of disrepair of some units does not stop them from raising the rent on ALL apartments for new tenants. They avoid making improvements, they do not inspect, repair, and/or clean units when one tenant leaves and another comes in. They throw up a quick coat of paint (or ask you to paint) and swap out the cheap carpeting. Here are a few things to consider, Windows and sliding doors need replacing. Many of them leak which has lead to black mold in some apartments (still not been remediated). Some have huge gaps in them that make it impossible to heat or cool the apartment, not to mention making them useless for securing the apartment. They advertise the pool as an amenity but it has not been open in many years. It's either damaged or they are too cheap to pay the insurance to keep it open. Half of the machines in the laundry area do not work at any given time or may potentially damage clothing. One dryer even started a small fire in the last few years. The "property manager" seldom answers the phone during business hours. Email is best. Additionally, when attempting to rectify some of the issues in-unit, the "property manager" does everything she can to avoid helping. "Maintenance supervisor" has no idea what he is doing and for the most part, any professional work done is contracted out BUT not before he jacks it up by ordering the wrong part(s) for the job. Oh, and to save your sanity - there are no recycling dumpsters on-site, at all, so don't look for them if you're told they exist. I did have wonderful neighbors though! There are some other redeeming qualities but the bad far outweighs the good. Not worth even mentioning.

The apartments seem to be soundproof as well. Only on occasion do I hear music, but it's low and muffled. The neighbors in my building are friendly. I know there are a few buildings with some riffraff but if you avoid those buildings you will be happy. I am giving it 4 stars only because of the riffraff. They live around the pool area so to use the pool you have to be around them. Also because only a few buildings have a laundromat - it would be nice if there was one in every building.

Parking is an absolute bear in that area. 2 blocks from the beach and just across the street from a Catholic Church that has daily mass. No WiFi which sucked and no credit cards either which can be tough if needed.

Too bad because owner is fairly nice but just seems like she can no longer give the place attention it deserves. Housing inspector admitted paint was old and reason for peeling. Every complaint is followed by underhanded retaliation from management. You never get owners to listen to your complaints. I've been here since November and that is literally the only thing that drives me insane. I've lived in other apartments and have never had this issue. I have spoken to other residents and they have the same complaint. Leasing office offered to have me move to another apartment but aside from it being inconvenient for me I was advised that others had the same issue. Other than that it's a safe community and close to shopping etc.

We weren't expecting the hotel to be anything fancy or classy, but we definitely weren't expecting all the dishes they provided to be covered in mold. One of the walls and the cabinets under the sink were also full of mold. The bathroom sink and cabinet were in pretty rough condition as well. The floors in the main room were coming up and we each stabbed our foot on it while we were there. Our trip was great, but the room is just not worth it.

I didn't leave because of choice, it was because my mother was at the end of her life with hear failure. My mom wasn't able to do anything on her own without losing her breath, and she was on oxygen 24/7. I originally went to visit my mom and stay for a few days. She lived in Trenton which is 1 hr and 20 min away from Absecon, NJ. But after I saw her I knew I'd have to stay. She didn't look well at all. I told the the lady in the office that I'd be leaving earlier than my lease term due to extenuating circumstances. I was told to write a letter and pay for the next month, which was Feb, March, April, May!! Then I was told I was still not in good standing due to a lack of communication and I paid again !! They knew my mother was literally dying and they were picking my pockets dry !! I loved this complex and the office workers at one time, I'm confused as to why everything went so wrong. My roommate told me he brought a letter to them and he was done. After that he remained at the apartment until early June 2024 and left. Never told me where he went or that he wasn't coming back until I received an email stating that I was blocked. My mom passed away June 10, 2024 and George left after having someone live there without my knowledge. I had to leave everything behind because I had absolutely zero help and was moving my mom's house in Trenton while I was getting what I could without a moving truck in Absecon. Now I'm being sued for $3000 by Manor Management while grieving the loss of my mother and as my ex friend and roommate hides in another state!! I did what I could do. Paid the last months rent, George brought the letter to the office and now after a clean slate of never being late paying my rent in almost 6 years this is what I get !!
