Horrible Service. The female realtor there was rude and seemed lazy and uniterested when we went in to see about a beach rental.

The sort of character that makes your skin creep up, like you're watching a horror film. A few individuals I'd like to make you beware of are Mr. O'Connor (owner of 181 Dipsea), Ashley and Betsy (both from Seadrift realty). I couldn't put their full names because of Yelp's policy. I'm writing this review, a day after being forced to move out and risk transmitting Covid-19 to my father, with no where else to go. A "shelter at home" order and "moratorium on evictions" has been put in place by the Governor of California. My dad is one of the highest risk categories of death for the Virus according to his cancer doctor, the CDC, and the World Health Organization. Here are some details that I wanted to make future renters and the Stinson community aware of. My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic center. Our family was in shock but we moved into a charming house, 181 Dipsea, while he began his chemo treatments just over the hill from Stinson. At first everything was ideal, the house was charming, birds flying around in the lagoon, soft waves crashing on the beach, my dad could relax from the mental and physical exhaustion from one of the most lethal cancers. My dad then decided he'd like to spend his days in Jackson hole because of new developments with the Coronavirus. We ofcourse moved him there even if that would put our family through financial strain. I stayed at the Stinson house to close it out and pack our things before our rental contract was over. Then the Coronavirus became a harsh reality around March 11th globally. Because of how novel the virus was, even the cancer doctors were grappling with how to communicate to their patients. It wasn't until a few days before our rent contract would end on April 4th 2020, that our cancer doctor recommended to our family through a Zoom call that I needed to be quarantined for at least 7 more days after the rental contract was due (14 days since last possible exposure). When Mr. O'Connor, Ashley, and Betsy heard of our precarious situation, they showed their true colors. Here are a few quotes from Mr. O'Connor: "Certainly you can quarantine as you wish elsewhere, and if that is not to your taste I have nothing to say about that, which is your issue, not mine." "Accordingly, if you persist in holding over, we expect remuneration at a rate of $500 per day, our normal rate in April. If you do not pay this amount through Seadrift Realty or otherwise, we will have no recourse but to institute a lawsuit against you to collect this amount plus court costs." I've attached both his first and second email below and removed full names as per Yelp's policy. There are a lot of amazing and good people in Stinson and owners of Seadrift properties. But based on how this situation was handled, I believe the community and future renters, would be better without the evil from Betsy, Ashley and Mr. O'Connor.

Their expertise runs deep -- they know not only the ins and outs of each neighborhood, but even the nuances of individual streets. This mattered tremendously to us as we were moving from out of town and considering multiple areas in Marin. At no point did they try to sell us on a house. In fact, they often led with, "Here are the things that could be tricky about this home or neighborhood." That honesty and thoughtfulness built enormous trust throughout the process. In the end, they helped us find the perfect home for our family (and guided us through some hurdles along the way). We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and cannot recommend them enough.

Vikrant, Hira, and their whole team did everything they promised (and more). They were incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and strategic throughout the entire process. I never felt like I was sacrificing service or expertise by going with a flat-fee model. In fact, I'd say they outperformed the traditional agents I've worked with in the past, at a fraction of the cost. We recently worked with Vikrant Goel and the Flat Fee Buyers team, and they exceeded our expectations from start to finish. We initially assumed that choosing a flat-fee brokerage would mean compromising on service. We couldn't have been more wrong. Their level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail was better than many traditional real estate agents we've worked with or heard about. The entire team was incredibly responsive and communicative throughout the process. They had a clear system in place, kept us updated at every stage, and always responded quickly whenever we had questions. Everything felt organized and efficient, which made what is usually a stressful process much easier to navigate. Vikrant was especially valuable during the offer and negotiation stage. He took the time to walk us through different strategies, connected us with great lenders, and stayed in close contact with the listing agent to keep things moving. We always felt like he was looking out for our best interests and working hard to give us the strongest possible chance. What impressed us the most was that we never felt like just another transaction. Everyone on the team genuinely cared, and it showed in every interaction. If you're hesitant about using a flat-fee buyer's agent because you think you'll get less service, don't be. Our experience was the complete opposite. We received exceptional service, worked with an experienced and highly organized team, and saved a significant amount of money in the process. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Vikrant Goel and the Flat Fee Buyers team to anyone looking to buy a home.

He helped us negotiate with potential buyers and got us a competitive price in the end. Our condo actually sold faster and for a higher price than another 1-bedroom condo in the same building. That condo was on sale before ours and stayed on the market much longer after ours. Other things: 1) He prepared a professional presentation and pitch when he first met with us when we were shopping for a realtor. Other realtors were more casual and didn't give us the information and confidence that they could sell our place like Sasha did. 2) He knew our building really well and took care of everything for us during the sales process. He went and got some documents for me from a city department so I didn't have to take off work and get them myself. I had a light fixture sent to him and he took care to get it installed. I did little other than give him keys and say yes or no to the proposals he sent me, which was great because I didn't have time to do much else. 3) He was conscious of my budget for staging the condo and got a me a second quote when I didn't like the first one. 4) He and Jessica were always nice to work with and answered my questions big and small. I had a lot of questions during the selling process and he made time to answer them. I'd hire Sasha again if I had another condo in SF to sell.

I had no idea what to expect from the process, and still found I had unreal expectations. Jonathan's kind and gentle handing of my stream of questions alone was enough to make him a good agent, but that's not all you get from him. We were especially appreciative of his gentle steady nature as our sellers agent complicated things oddly. He handled that sticky scenario kindly while protecting our interests at every moment. He's so kind in all his interactions it's easy to miss when he's being tough. But he is when needed. We were so proud to have ourselves represented through the sticky part so graciously and firmly. We got the correct house for us! The market at the time was like the wild west with huge overbidding, and a lot of competition. Jonathan's knowledge of neighborhoods, and other agents seriously helped us place correct offers and avoid a couple that we ultimately had no chance at. We got ours for asking! And we love our home that suits us so well, just as predicted by Jonathan at the start. Sure, he's knowledgeable, smart, personable, professional, and all that you'd need and expect in a good agent. He is also an incredibly kind, caring, you focused, person that is a joy to work with. And isn't that what we'd all like to be around, and work with? Here's your chance to select a great agent.
