They were quite expensive but given that they were what I thought was well constructed and stylish I felt it was worth the purchase price- When I did my patio clean up this season I noticed that the black finish on pots was defective although the pots were still intact . I was not concerned because I always felt Almas was a reputable business and that they would certainly do something to rectify the situation. I went back today and showed them photos of the pots because they were too heavy to bring in. Well I was shocked by the uncaring response of both owners- they said oh you need to paint it ; then stated it was a close out ; or I should have taken them in and then insinuated that a stroller hit it ! Mind you I am 71 hrs old , the planters are in my back yard and I haven't owned a baby stroller in over 30 years . I told them I was never told to bring them in - I had no clue they were merely painted ( I believed that the color was impregnated into the clay) . Bottom line is that they did not stand by their merchandise- I will never buy anything from them again and I extremely disappointed in the lack of responsiveness of what has always been a neighborhood staple ! CREEPY AND SHEISTY, DO NOT GO HERE…read more Likely the same company as Long Beach Propane. Charges $35 for a 20lb LP tank. Refused to quote prices over the phone before driving over there. After I filled up, Gary told me the price would vary each time I refilled based on market prices but then his larger colleague insisted that $35 was their starting and flat rate. There is also no store front, driveway, or price list; just a weird vacant area with a sad greenhouse and firewood. I should have known to drive away when I drove up but the place was conveniently located and I figured I would give it a try. I feel tricked and taken advantage of for being a woman and for being someone who didn't know better.
