Last season I purchased 2 heavy outdoor planter which I asked to have filled and planted. They were quite expensive but given that they were what I thought was well constructed and stylish I felt it was worth the purchase price- When I did my patio clean up this season I noticed that the black finish on pots was defective although the pots were still intact . I was not concerned because I always felt Almas was a reputable business and that they would certainly do something to rectify the situation. I went back today and showed them photos of the pots because they were too heavy to bring in. Well I was shocked by the uncaring response of both owners- they said oh you need to paint it ; then stated it was a close out ; or I should have taken them in and then insinuated that a stroller hit it ! Mind you I am 71 hrs old , the planters are in my back yard and I haven't owned a baby stroller in over 30 years . I told them I was never told to bring them in - I had no clue they were merely painted ( I believed that the color was impregnated into the clay) . Bottom line is that they did not stand by their merchandise- I will never buy anything from them again and I extremely disappointed in the lack of responsiveness of what has always been a neighborhood staple ! I would give negative or no stars if possible. Buyer beware

Removing three giant mulberry trees from my backyard in Astoria, Queens was not easy due to very tight access, but they handled it like pros. It only took them about 3 hours to remove all three trees, and all of my neighbors were impressed with how fast they worked. They were extremely professional and a very nice crew, which made the whole experience even better. Those trees were a nightmare, and thanks to Dank, Inc, I finally have a backyard I can actually enjoy. They also left the backyard very clean, which I really appreciated. The manager was also a good guy. I accidentally handed him more than I should have and he caught me while I was walking away to point out my mistake. Honest and well informed people selling an excellent product. Not sure else you could want in this situation. Definitely get your tree from them!
