I hired the mason that built my stoop to install metal railings. He has done various work around my house in the past and he has always done great work. He purchased the railings from this place and installed them. The railings were wrapped up when he received them and he left the wrapping on during installation so they stayed clean. We noticed deep scratches on various parts of both railings after he removed the wrapping. He contacted someone at this company multiple times to come and touch up the paint. No one showed up for over 6 weeks. He went down to speak to the people in the office, and then magically someone showed up at my house the same day he went down to complain. However, no one told him when they would be coming to do the touch up work. The person never even knocked on my door or rang the door bell even though I was home. Later that day I discovered someone shot two spots with black spray paint that did nothing to solve the problem and left a 1/2 empty can of spray paint on my stoop. The railings are still scratched (see photos). Mind you, these railings are supposed to have a 20 year paint job. The mason would have corrected it himself but they never told him what type of paint to use when he asked. Piss poor customer service earns a terrible review. Spend your money elsewhere.

I want to clarify that I never stated the first cut was a fabrication error on your end -- I acknowledged that I provided measurements based on my own calculations. My issue is not that additional labor has value. My issue is communication and transparency. When I called and was told to bring the legs back the next morning, at no point was I informed that returning would result in a second full $50 charge. If I had been told upfront, I would have made an informed decision before driving back and before the work was performed. Instead, the additional charge was only brought to my attention after the service was already completed, and I was told payment was required before my items could be released. I also asked if the second charge could be discounted and was told no. I'm glad the employee was helpful and fixed the legs quickly, but the way the second charge was handled felt unexpected and unfair. A simple upfront explanation of pricing before starting the work would have prevented this entire situation.
