I couldn't see a faint line when they showed me and I didn't feel comfortable putting him on antibiotics so I called them five minutes after we left to cancel the culture and went to our pediatricians. No red throat and no strep. Staff is nice and place is clean but definitely won't be taking my kids back. It's become a waste of money to receive incorrect diagnoses.

First Issue: I made an appointment online and took the last appointment. However, I wanted my boyfriend to get a COVID test as well so I called and they made an appointment for him. We arrive to our appointment, he has the link confirming his appointment and Oceanside says they don't have him down. So somehow, whoever I spoke with scheduled him for Rockville's location. Second issue: when I called the receptionist stated they take my insurance. I get there and they DO NOT. I was told that the cost would be $195 out of pocket. The lady at the front desk looked at me like I was in poverty and said "you can go to city MD for free there are a lot of free testing sites." I NEEDED the test that day so I just paid and got a bill to get reimbursed by my insurance due to federal laws and COVID testing. Third issue: I get a receipt with nothing but my information and the amount paid. Knowing I would need an itemized receipt I asked for one and was denied due to the fact it had medical information-they tried using HIPPA as an excuse for laziness. I have always been able to get an itemized receipt as it is MY medical information. After being rudely told to go to city MD I didn't want to continue to argue with the receptionist. FINALLY! I call billing to receive an itemized receipt, and they tell me I was OVERCHARGED. I am being refunded 70 dollars and getting my itemized receipt. I can only imagine how much money this location has stolen from people during a pandemic. Convenience of having an appointment system means nothing when the service is awful and you get overcharged. Do not recommend anybody coming here.

I noticed one other person in the waiting room. I was told there wer three people ahead of me, that the wait would be about an hour. Understood. After completing the kiosk sign-in I was sent another link to complete the information sheet. In as much as I had to do that on my phone, it took some time since my phone isn't a tablet. I guess it makes sense, but the new technology in this industry takes some getting used to, especially when your from the baby boomer group and accustomed to completing forms on paper. No problem. After completing that step, I was called to a waiting room to await the check-up. After about 10 minutes an assistant took my vitals and said the doctor would be in soon. I waited another 35-40 minutes and the doctor came in, assessed my symptoms and cleared me of strep. I was happy to know that. I would have given them more stars, but I didn't feel valued as a patient. I realize it was a Saturday evening and many came after me, but the attitude was more mechanical rather than caring. I am not sure I'd return, but it's definitely better than going to the hospital.

Shortly after that was directed to a large, spacious, clean, sterile room to wait for doctor. Initially medical tech takes you vitals and asks a bunch of generally questions. Figure another 5-10 minutes with that, then the pass off to the doctor. A quick efficient review of situation with doctor. All is confirmed and you are on your way with report page in hand and out of there in 40 minutes. Absolutely amazing!! I could wait 30 minutes or more in the regular doctors waiting room. Can clearly see why these type of locations have popped up just about everywhere. Experience was good and would recommend this location to others. In addition to going back again if need be.

I have gone to AFC in East Rockway multiple times and was always pleased. The last time I went in…read moreMarch for a cold, possible infection, they tested me and the next day called me and said I had a regular cold. Two days later I called and told them my symptoms were worse and I think I needed an antibiotic. They told me that I needed to wait 10 days. I called back the next day and explained to them that I believed I had an infection based on the color and the amount of nasal discharge I was experiencing. I felt worse, despite using the netipot and over the counter cold meds. Again, I was told I needed to wait 10 days. I was so frustrated that I called an ENT in Melville and they took me immediately. I had a raging sinus infection and my right eardrum was very inflamed blocking it from opening and causing me muffled hearing. I was put on prednisone and an antibiotic. When the issue didn't resolve, I went to the ER at NYU Langone and they said everything was still very inflamed in the ear. They put me on another antibiotic and sent me to their team in Garden City. That ENT gave me steroid for the ear, told me to continue the antibiotic and has seen me several times to manage my blocked ear. It is now 9 weeks later and I still have Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. This all could have been avoided if that initial doctor at AFC would have let me come back each time (twice) I called to have them look at me again. A simple cold turned into a raging infection that has now left me with ETD. I will never go to another AFC. I knew something was wrong, but this doctor thought he knew better than me without re-checking me. I don't understand it, it was my dime. So unprofessional!

She did but with all those infections. In ICU. I had to wear full length berka thing even full over the head cover which I took off b/c my mom couldn't HEAR me thru that thing. They ended up giving her tube feeding which I thought would be reversed. Dr. said no, they don't live long after that!!! They even tried only giving her water-no nutrients which I caught them doing. They wanted her to die so they could get the bed back. I reported this via email to the so-called suits, that they were committing a crime! They all appeared at 10am-offered whatever help even the dietician. They started giving her nutrients & she, of course, rallied. A nasty young woman dr-last name Hoffman, threw my mother's papers on her bed. Said she had signed DNR paper. I had her taken off my mother's "care". She then came up to me, told me how she graduated so high in her class. So what? Didn't want her near my mom. When my mother was dying they wouldn't let me in-said shift was changing!! I sat in my car alone in the parking lot as the sun went down. When I was finally allowed in all her belongings were gone! I just wanted to go in & get them. While my mother was in this hospital & they kept changing her room they NEVER moved her belongings. I did. If you are alone, no advocate, kiss your belongings, your life a quicker goodbye! After the fact, when I went to get her things they were nowhere to be found. Security said that never should have happened-I should have been let in shift change or not. Security was the only decent treatment I rec'd during my mom's time there. STAY AWAY! Other hospitals in this area. Do not go here. They should have "Abandon hope all ye who enter here" above their entry door. IMO just an extention of HELL.

Miserable, I found City MD open! Hooray! Staff was professional and polite. I saw a PA within 15 minutes. After examining me and asking pertinent questions, she ordered 2 prescriptions for me and gave me clear instructions about home care. There's a CVS basically next door where I got my scripts filled and purchased the other things suggested by the PA. I was grateful they were open on the holiday, and impressed with the care I received. Great stuff.

Once the nurse told him it was a work-related injury, his entire demeanor changed. Suddenly, he wanted me to see an orthopedic doctor and come back every 3 days. He refused to give me a referral and instead wanted the front desk to make the appointment for me. He also wouldn't allow me to choose an orthopedic doctor from their referrals. I left feeling very confused and uncomfortable about the whole experience. It felt like the treatment changed once they found out it was a workers' compensation case. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this urgent care.
