While the doctor is great and all, Dawn ( apparently the director) has horrible bedside manner,…read moregives attitude and has zero patients for patients. She raised her voice at me over the phone after I sent a message about a transfusion being cancelled for the third time. While I understand maybe your office has no control over the situation you should train your staff To be kind and informative and helpful. Not rude, mean and down right dismissive. Will not be coming back to this doctor just because of Dawn. if I could five negative stars I would.

These people who run the front desk are a complete disgrace to this practice. My very first visit I…read morewas overcharged for my co-pay. Today I was contacted about coming back into the office to do get results from bloodwork. Person asked if I'd like to make an appt. I said sure.... As I was waiting I asked her if I could get results uploaded to my portal like I have with all other doctors I see. For can they just give bloodwork results over the phone. The unqualified person raises her voice and says rudely that the office doesn't do tele visits. I then tell the very rude person, I do not need to be schooled in what tele visits is because I'm familiar with this. However uploading results r giving the results over the phone isn't a tele visit. She then said I should call back at a later time then after I'd already said at the beginning of like to make an appointment. I tell her again I want to make an appointment now. We all know calling back is a hassle because they don't answer the phone. She going up on me. It's a darn good thing the office was closed. I drove straight over there and it would not have been a nice conversation. I will not rebook an appt with this office and I will pick up my results to take elsewhere. There are TOO MANY choices when it comes to healthcare. This place has horrible reviews and I see why. Replace all the staff and get someone who knows customer care. These people shouldn't be hired to run a hog farm.

Dr. Gogu is a Life-Saver!…read more Dr. Gogu is truly a life-saver. I made an appointment due to feeling 'off' and short-of-breath, after a 5-year gap in visiting a PCP due to insurance changes. Dr. Gogu's office was able to accommodate a same-afternoon appointment for me... Yes, truly a doctor appointment made/received on the same day! Dr. Gogu and his staff quickly had me diagnosed with severe anemia...and on my way to the hospital for a 2-week stay. Now on-the-mend and looking over the ER admitting paperwork, I realize just how remarkable Dr. Gogu's fast & accurate diagnosis had impacted my life. If not for the quick diagnosis and actions taken on my initial appointment with him, I feel things would have turned out much differently for me. I'm now proud to have selected my new PCP and look forward to Dr. Gogu's continued health guidance as I age. Many thanks for his compassion, professionalism, intelligence and the quick-diagnosis of my potentially life-threatening condition.

Hi all, I have two things to cover here…read more 1) The comments about this doctor lacking care or interest are CORRECT. we were always in and out, not much convo, not much concern in general, cold doctor. 2) I've seen reviews about being billed inaccurately and this is also CORRECT. my 6m old now, was billed 250.00 for a visit which is suppose to be covered by medicaid, but was still billed. I called insurance and they informed me that his practice sent off the WRONG billing code and that it in fact should have been covered. I recommend going elsewhere. They need detail oriented staff and the doctor can improve with patients.

Dr. Rios is mine and my husband's primary care physician in San Antonio. She is a wonderful,…read morecaring, thorough and excellent doctor. We have both appreciated the time she takes with us, her thoughtful questions to better understand our concerns, and her professionalism. Although she is young, she demonstrated the knowledge and experience that we look for in a doctor. I recommend her highly if anyone has moved to the San Antonio area and is looking for a very good doctor.

PATIENTS BEWARE! This practice evinces an attitude of reckless negligence to patients in need. My…read moreelderly mother who was just released from the hospital for a life-threatening condition was referred to this practice for URGENT treatment. She was refused service for arriving TWO minutes past "cut-off" time, despite having attempted to call and notify the office multiple times that she would be late due to unexpected construction/traffic (she was only able to leave a message, which they ignored). The receptionist and head nurse were rude and even laughed at my mother's situation. The other two receptionists were blithely talking on what appeared to be personal calls. There was only one family in the waiting room. DO NOT see this practice if you are looking for a professional, caring medical staff. My mother has lived in San Antonio for 31 years and has never experienced this kind of a horrific experience. I am praying that she gets the medical help she needs, since now she can't find anybody who will see her before the New Year. What a travesty and a disgrace. Beware.

I had been suffering with a shoulder injury after a cycling accident. After four weeks, I decided…read moreto see Dr Sledge based on a recommendation from a friend. What impressed me the most was that Dr. Sledge used surgery as a last result. After the MRI showed a tear in the rotator cuff, surgery was the only logical option. During the surgery, Dr. Sledge included the anesthesiologist and Physician's Asst, Ms. Book. They have been working together as a team for years and worked very well together. The incision was so small, you couldn't find the scar after 5 weeks. Wow! PS. When they recommend the shoulder block, take it. Best decision. After surgery, recovery wasn't fun but they warned me about it. Just be patient and the pain will decrease each week. Ms Book, the PA, has done a great job after the surgery helping me to understand how to get my shoulder back to normal. What most impressed me was that she has been in the field for 17 years and knows her stuff. She gave very detailed explanations and advice. It has been nine weeks since the surgery and I am almost back to normal. At 12 weeks, I should be good to go. If I ever need shoulder work again, I will see Dr Sledge without hesitation.

The PT works and now I can swim again, which I have not been able to do for years. He listens well, is very honest, gives you options for treatment and consequences if you chose to not have surgery.

Their goal was to "service" as many patients per doctor per day, which would thereby increase revenue. Towards the end of my time with Dr Atlas at the big firm, we would have about 10 minutes together before he was called to see the next patient. When Dr Atlas departed the medical group to become a concierge doctor and provide in-depth personal care for his patients, I gladly followed him to his new practice. I have semi-annual checkups with Dr Atlas and my visits are between 30 to 60 minutes each, or whatever is required. I travel extensively, and am able to contact him for assistance 24/7 for any issue. He is always available to provide advice or call in an appropriate prescription wherever I may be traveling. His nursing and office staff are awesome to deal with. Yes, there is an annual fee for the concierge service. The one-on-one personal physician concern and attention is well worth it to this patient.

I have no idea why he is listed in my insurance network but I already complained to the insurance company to have him removed. Excuse me for not being exclusive enough and thanks for nothing.
