I ran over something on the freeway and my car immediately notified me that my tire was low. I saw the numbers decrease significantly and quickly. I got off the freeway at the closest exit, Cherry Ave. I remembered there was a gas station there. I pulled into the gas station and parked near the air machine. My tire was FLAT, and I could hear the air escaping at an alarming rate and very loudly. I knew air wouldn't help, but I looked up and saw the tire shop across the street. I immediately slowly and carefully drove over. I was in a panicked state, so I told the man at the front desk that I believed I needed an entire new tire. My tire is only a month old. However, when the guy came out to inspect my tire and take it off, he noticed it just needed a patch. It must've been a nail or something on the freeway. I was so relieved to know I wouldn't have to shovel out another $100 or more for a new tire. I truly respect this place for not trying to take advantage of me. Being a woman, I've been taken advantage of plenty of times. I was in and out within 15 minutes. The customer service is amazing! I recommend this place to everyone! Fixed my flat without issue. When purchased tires there, however, they tried to over charge me. It was $800 and I put $200 down. They wanted to charge me $1000 instead of $600. Had to give a math lesson. They were not listening. I was not about to pay more. They finally gave in- but I don't think they felt they were wrong. I had called to get a price estimate and I wasn't sure my tire size right at that second so she hung up and I was thinking oh maybe the call dropped. I called again and was still trying to get an estimate and was comparing the price to another tire shop where she just hung up on my face again. I was reading reviews and seen that the lady- receptionist is rude, and knew for a fact it was on purpose at this point. I don't appreciate being hung up on multiple time or being treated rudely- if you are having a bad day or not happy with your life don't take it out on us - that's your choice to work here and I'm sure your attitude doesn't match your company's values and expectations. This morning my mothers tire had a huge screw in it I quickly try to find a tire shop that was hopefully open and I came across this business here on Yelp, they open at 8am during the week which was unheard of. I arrived to my mothers house quickly put air in the tire and drove it here from a few blocks away. We arrived and where greater by Santiago as he was opening the shop, he quickly began to service our tire and plugged the tire, the price of as GREAT and he was extremely professional and was kind enough to check the tire pressure on all the other tires. I asked if I go somewhere else and they get better adjustments on my car can I have my money back and they said no because labor was already done(manager/owner) then the tech was saying he can only adjust toe on this car and the way it is, is fine. Walked in on Sunday with 4 tires needing to be mounted and balanced on my 2017 BMW M3. Quicker turn around than quoted and speedy who was the tech who worked on my car was very friendly. They were upfront and open and pointed out any defects on your wheel before proceeding. If you have expensive wheels or care about your wheels don't come here! Came in on a Saturday decided to come here to support a local small business but I will never come back here again. Reminded you the wheels have never been touched ever, same tires that came from the dealer so no scratches or curb rash. I pointed out they scratched both of my wheels they swapped my tries on. They all stated it was like that before it was old damage, that it was curb rash funny because if it was curb rash it would be the face of the lip. Low tire light kept coming so I decided to have it checked before driving on it any further. Although it looked like a couple people were waiting, they were able to look at my tire, patch the hole a screw left and check the pressure of my other tires under 30 min ($25). The receptionist mentioned their other services: around $120 for full synthetic oil change with new oil and air filter, $75 for car detailing (wash, wax, vacuum). I would go back again. Btw, I heard about this place from my SO who needed a Star certified smog check. I guess it's a separate business sharing the same location, but the smog was super quick and they also turned in the paperwork for a one stop experience. read more

Did they fix the issue? Yes. Did I like the service and experience? No. I used to have a mechanic for years. But he moved. So the hunt for a new mechanic began here at Ochoa's. I had to think about writing this review for a while. So I can describe it as best and brief as possible. I went in for a squeaky brake problem. I just did the front brakes less than a year ago but idk about cars so they suggested I get all of them done. Big nope for me. They recommended an inspection before deciding what to do. Ok whatever. I was quoted $95 for resurfacing the rotors, brake pads and labor. I have warranty for the front brakes so I went to autozone to buy all the parts. Front and back just in case. Turns out only the back ones needed replacement. Ok so I decided to get them done. I brought my own parts and got charged $90. All labor. Weird. The mechanic took my car for a spin (without telling me btw) and told me I needed another part fixed soon. Or else...... you know? Your car will explode type of scenario. Smh I said, "I'm pretty sure we can find stuff wrong with it. Just fix the brakes. I don't think they liked that. Next, They saw a nail in my tire. Told me I need to fix that. The mail didn't go through. But they suggested I get it checked out. But you know, not for free. I declined that too. So in conclusion, did the brakes get fixed? Yes. Did I pay a fair price? Maybe. Am I coming back? Idk. Probably not. I feel like they tried to pull the typical mechanic hustle. They tell you all the things wrong with your car, hoping to make more money off of you. There's no set prices so they make prices up as they feel they can charge. Wack! I get it, it's your job. No problem. I wish them well. But I don't like how I get there. Love this place. They are honest and reliable. I have brought my Mercedes Benz and my Infiniti here during emergency flats and they have been able to help me without any problems. They are always honest and never try to up sell you. The prices are very reasonable and they are willing to work with you. Today I had a hit some debris on the freeway and managed to get to the shop. The tired was fully destroyed and they didn't have the exact same tire size. They managed to install a similar tire while the replacement tire arrives. Ochoa's tire service saves the day again, found a nail in my tire again (1 year after the first nail repair) on the Teslas tire and they were able to get me back on the road without having to buy another tire. Again a lot of tire shops won't even try a repair since the tires have a foam lining to prevent road noise which I think is a gimmick to sell more tires that have minor damage (screw or nail) on Teslas part. read more
