The park has a single parking lot , decently sized. There is a pool, not open when we were there due to lifeguard shortages. Restroom facilities were typical for a park. We enjoyed the trails which were well maintained. There are some rental cabins, too. There's a playground very close to parking, easy for families. One thing: basically no cell service, Verizon or T Mobile. A call got through from the NMA but his texts did not relay until we left the park and headed towards home. Be prepared for that. Overall a place I'd happily visit again.

They had plenty of openings and since it was off-season we only paid $60/night for the smaller cabin. The place was mostly deserted due to the weather, but we had a great time. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. The pool looked excellent, but the weather prohibited our use. The location is a bit of a drawback if you're looking to hike in DWG. But it was about 35 mins from New Hope/Lambertville, and about 20 from Nockamixon State Park. So there is plenty to do in the area. The only complaint we had is minor- there was very little shade in the cabin site and the cabins were really close together. If there had been another family in the site next to us it would have been a little awkward. All in all an excellent find. I would definitely go again. But I think we only had as much fun as we did due to the lack of people on the grounds. So this is a biased 5-stars.

CW has many activities for the kiddos to do as well as the Old Timers, from bingo or trivia to mini golf or shuffle board. Made many friends over the years coming here. The staff are great. Our kids enjoyed the playground and sand pit with toys for building sand castles. The campground itself is just a short drive away from Ringing Rocks Park and trails. The campground store had almost anything you could need that you may have forgotten to pack, and the store prices were super reasonable, not marked up like you see in a lot of camp stores. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would have given it 5 stars, but my only complaint is that there is only one bathroom at the main office. Although the bathrooms are clean and well-kept, the tent sites are a brisk walk away.

Their RV sites offer water and electric, but no sewer. There is a dump station, but it's actually in front of the office building so you'll need to dump before you go in or after you leave if you're in for a short stay. (Long term they offer honeywagon service $) There seems to be 3 distinct sections to campground: tenters, seasonal and short-term. Roads are crushed rock / gravel, some sites are also. Tent sites are dirt, some RV sites are grass. Bathrooms are clean, but again, up at the front of the property. There is 1 portapotty at the start of the tent area, but it's a hike. They offer 30 or 50 amp - extra $ for more amps. Great looking playground for kids. Felt it was over-priced for what we got.

My first review by campfire light…read more I came along with my boy scout son for a weekend at Tinicum Park in Erwinna, Pennsylvania, just across the Delaware River from Frenchtown, New Jersey. It is not a big park, but has a simple camp facility in an Ash grove a few hundred yards from the water. I remember campout food as being oddly delicious, even with the extra grit and rustic outdoor kitchen, but these days with lightweight stoves and propane flex lines, the campfire is just for night stories. Cooking is much easier, if somewhat less rewarding. Still, I don't think I'll ever get accustomed to deep fried Oreos. The Chicken Tenders and Penne with Ragu were decent after a hike into Frenchtown, and several hours of scout skill training, football, and boys being boys. I even found about 90 minutes to break away and return for R & R at the National Hotel and The Bridge Café while the boys were off on another adventure. Those reviews to follow. Tinicum may not be the first place you think of when considering an upriver jaunt, but if you are into a night or two of roughing it (with a run to Ftown for cocktail and lunch overlooking the river) than it might be the perfect spot to make magic happen.
