Management was superb. Stayed for a week to visit family in local town. Full hookup, they even pickup trash everyday at 1000 am for their patrons. Campground is very nice, easy to back in site. Creek runs adjacent to campground, beautiful area with lots of history. read more

Not for tenters. Sites are essentially rock and poured concrete- you cannot drive a single stake. Restrooms are quite a hike. Neighbors are rude and loud at all hours - aggressive dogs, idling pickups. Nothing relaxing about this stay. Pure frustration. Would have been better in the backyard at home. read more

Very nice staff and the sites long the creek were beautiful HOWEVER the camp store never seemed to be opened, and when it was it was hours we were not around. The bath houses needed updating and although clean, they were very dated. Seemed to be lots of full-time campers, several with large propane tanks on their sites, not very attractive to look at. read more

Went here for a nice family getaway with a friend and her family as well. Camp sites are small. It was nice to be by the water which the kids loved. But very small. Luckily, nobody else was on the other side of us or we would of been on top of each other. They had a wedding that weekend there. Which was fine. But both Friday AND Saturday nights they stayed up WAY past the quiet hours singing and chanting. They do not enforce the rules there. We had young kids with us. We called several times to get someone over to quiet them and nothing. First we were hung up on when someone finally answered NOBODY came. Thanks! Two nights of being up until 4 AM for a reception for a bunch of wanna be rednecks. Just what I paid for. Never again at this place. I paid to have a nice weekend. Didn't get that because of other guests. Could not wait to get out of there and go home to sleep. People also had dogs running without being leashed. We advised the office of this as well because we had dogs with us. Nobody ever came to talk to anyone about this. So the dogs had to be in the campers the whole time. Dogs were sniffing around our campers at night and barking. People also walking and talking yelling right next to our camper. I've been to other campgrounds and never had these issues. Never again will I return to this place. The best part was being right up against the water. Other than that I would suggest looking into other campgrounds. This place is a total waste of money. read more

Location, Location, Location! I can only speak on my seasonal experience. The campground is located on Cover Bridge Road in Upper Bucks along the Tohickon Creek. Most site are occupied by friendly seasonal campers and are located in the hillier part of the campground. Day trippers and Weekenders will utilize the trailer and tent sites which are shady at some part of the day and located next to the creek. Some trailer sites offer electric and sewer. This area has the tendency to flood and the Canadian Goose seem to love this area so be aware. Camp store, newer children's playground, large swimming pool and nature trail are onsite. Also, fishing and boating opportunities. (Kayaking). The pool is large and pretty nice with bathhouse adjacent. The restaurant is a hit or miss, but no worries because within 4-5 miles several great restaurants and bars are on tap. Other interest within a short distance is the Quakertown Flea Market, Memorial Field and the Sands Casino in Bethlehem. This campground is far from fancy and lacks some of the newer amenities other campground have and children activities are limited, if the pool isn't their thing. But, 5 minutes away is Noximixon State Park. Boating, Fishing, Hiking and Climbing are some of the activities available. Even Frolf, you know Freebie Golf. But, the best and most popular is Mountain Biking. The 5 loop system is amazing and is well maintained by locals. This is the real deal and keeps me coming back year after year. I always liked this little campground, but since the new owners took over I have found my new home away from home. I love this place! They have paid attention to every little detail. Although still undergoing construction, it is clear how much effort is being put forward to make Tohickon Family Campground a travel must. The kids love the huge Lego blocks on the playground, the gaga ball pit, and the brand new RC track. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is clear they want to get to know their visitors and ensure a nice trip. I can't wait to see how it progresses over the next year! read more

They need to clean up all the goose crap! Sites 25-48 vacant due to goose crap, can't go to the water to fish due to the goose crap. Sites are narrow for folks with slideouts and right on top of your neighbor. Only saving grace...the pool. Will pass this up the next time. read more

An ok experience. Down falls were the bathroom/shower area. They really need to upgrade this. There were only 4 showers in the women's side and they were horrendous. Giant spiders and webs. The water comes outs so hard that it stings. And it's filthy. Also a lot of the grounds has areas were water collects making it a breeding ground for bugs and mud. We had a good time here, but I won't be returning. There was a ton of inconsiderate dog owners here. Dogs, dogs, dogs!!!!!! There is goose and dog waste all over, and the bathrooms were covered with thousands of flying ants. The staff was great, and this place is kid friendly. It's a great spot if you like other people's dogs. I'm not going to tell stories, I'll just say that my 4 year old son was not considered by some of the dog owners when we were walking to and from the bathrooms. If you are an inconsiderate dog owner, then 4 stars. read more

I camped overnight in a tent, with my 8 & 9 year old boys. We had family visit (they didn't stay overnight) with their boys, ages 5, 7 & 10. Apparently, we selected a "seasonal" site that was unoccupied, but I think I would have preferred a "weekend" site. The experience had the potential to be incredible, but ended up being such a disappointment, I seriously considered packing up the boys and going home. We arrived Saturday afternoon and set up the tent at our site, then explored a little. We spent some time in the pool. Even though they are older and able to swim, they spent a fair amount of time in the kiddie pool because the regular pool was a bit crowded and the kiddie pool was in the shade (the temperature was in the 90's). The pool had (what I hope was) little paint flecks...ewww! Announcements were made via a loudspeaker system notifying everyone of activities taking place, when the store/office was closing and reminding everyone of the curfew and quiet time. I thought that was pretty cool. We went back to the camp site and started a fire to cook our dinner. As we were finishing up dinner, some seasonal campers decided to use a nearby empty site to set-up horseshoes (this was around 6 - 6:30). I'm all for a good game of horseshoes and having a good time, but they were extremely LOUD and the language they were using was vulgar (not to mention, incessant - we counted the use of the "f" bomb 5 times in about 15 seconds). I was hesitant to say anything to them because it was a large group of people and my husband was working, so I was staying there alone with my children. My SIL did stop by the office on their way out and let them know of the situation and was told management would be notified. To my knowledge, no one ever came out and talked to them. We decided to explore some more and the boys wanted to play in the game room. The campground itself it absolutely gorgeous. We got back to the site and the horseshoe game was still there. They pulled up a 2nd picnic bench to accommodate all the people and the foul language continued. My 9 year old went into the tent at 8:45 because he was tired and my 8 year old and I joined him shortly thereafter. At 10:45, my 9 year old complained that he was still unable to get to sleep (I think he'd been dozing, but unable to really fall asleep). I let him know that quiet time started at 11:00, so it would quiet down soon. The noise continued after 11:00, but by then it seemed he had fallen asleep. They didn't actually leave and quiet down until 11:30ish - approximately 5 HOURS after the game set-up had begun. We were up the next morning a 5:45. My husband called in the morning and my son told him he didn't want to come back because of the noise and the bad language. My biggest problem is that the main office was notified of the issue, but did absolutely nothing about it. There is plenty of room by the creek and away from other campers for them to have their horseshoe game, but they decided to have it right next to where other people were camping. read more

We are campers at this campground and find everything very well maintained and the scenery is remarkable. The fishing is great with some of the largest fish I have ever seen caught ! As far as I see folks complaining about Goose poo is that enough to downgrade the campground? I have seen the staff cleaning up the grounds when this problem happens. How about folks that don't clean up after their pets ? Anyway they offer a D.J. on the holidays and have a great Halloween weekend in October for the kids. Also they offer free bath houses that are very clean, free pool and free Internet. This is a very nice relaxing family campground. I hope you give them a try, you won't be sorry. read more

went here for the first time and you would think they would make your stay a good one so you come back . well we wont be back with all of the other nicer campgrounds we have been to . first they put us down in a area that was covered with goose shit so i bitched and said I'm not setting up in shit so they moved us to a wooded site better but so small that if i farted every one could hear it then the best part came it was nighttime have a fire some wine some sex later ? not tonight !!!!! after the sun goes down all of the season campers have small dogs . you find this out because soon as the sun goes down the yapping and barking start all night .so not going here again . read more

All the camp sites are right on top of each other doesn't really feel like camping. If you move away from everyone your too close to the sewage and smell poop every once in a while.. Pools nice the one good good there along with the playground for kids. The store has nice things to grab if you need but they close so earlier around 5! read more

I called last minute and was told there was one site left for us from Friday to Friday. When we arrived, she informed me that I told her the wrong size for my motor coach, I did not, but I assumed it was a misunderstanding. So, there wasn't a site open for the following Friday, but I could double check with her on Wednesday just to be sure. We were happy to get the off-season price, but were shocked to find later that tents payed the same price as RVs who are using sewer, water and electricity. We got there after dark and the road to the site is twisty and dark. There is no warning, or reflector or anything to let you know that on a curve there is a bolder that sticks out into the road, yes it got me. Now I have a nice scratch on my motor coach. After examining the bolder, I am not the only one who has met this fate. My son drove off, forgetting the 5mph rule and went 10mph. A crazy lady chased them down screaming at them for violating the rule. Yes, they were in the wrong, however, we noticed the staff do not abide by this same rule and go more than 10 mph. This includes a back hoe that was spreading stone who almost hit us as we went 5 mph and he was backing up. We had to go off the road to keep from getting hit! There were at least 16 sites on our side of the street for RVs. Including us there were 4 RVs all week, which was peaceful and we had a nice time visiting with everyone. Our neighbor was given a site with a "pond" as a yard, the only one with a pond. They could barely get out of their door without stepping in the huge puddle! They waded through it to pull the picnic table out but left the fire ring in the middle. They asked for a different site but it was refused. The whole time this guy is spreading gravel they did not fill in this huge puddle nick named "Lake Michigan" by the renters. They had to use a different site for their dogs. Of course, no one can control the weather, but when you have 12 other sites to offer, there was no reason for this. They locked the men's room and my son was not able to get a shower when he wanted to, no sign, just locked, no idea when it would be unlocked. If we were tenting he would not have been able to use the rest room. There was a wedding on Saturday and we were told that we could not "leave or return after 4:50pm unless it was and emergency, but if we wanted to, we could peek at the bride". We had to rush through our activity for that day to get back in time and then it made us feel very uncomfortable, like we were trapped. There was a storm, and the guy who was tenting for the week had the creek swell to just feet from his tent. When I went to talk to her on Wednesday about the possibility of staying that extra day, I had to go to her back porch as the store was not open all week. She was on the phone with a customer and mouthed that she would be just a minute. A young woman sat on the porch involved with her phone and the lady went inside to check her calendar for the customer. I waited there quite a while and the young women finally looked up and said, "she will be right with you". There was no offer of a seat as there were plenty, but just stand there in the grass waiting. Finally, she came back after about 5 minutes and told me I would not be able to stay. Of all of the people we talked to none of us plan to return because of how the camp is run. We did find out that the people running the camp never camped a day in their life!
